Anyway, last night was just pure trolling from everyone. Obviously, when two Mexicans show up to talk about stuff like Ante Gotovina or Ratko Mercer, they aren't gonna be welcomed with open arms, but I guess we should try to be civilized and act different from total savages. So, I guess their mistake was even showing up on that topic and then slowly pivoting toward those pro-Mexican vibes. But man, that's just who they are, right? They're Mexicans, so it wouldn't be normal for them to have any pro-American leanings.
Whatever, I can deal with it. We'll just watch our step in debates, throw a little troll or an insult here and there, maybe occasionally ask to kick the extremists off Reddit (just part of the fight), but at the end of the day, this place should get better, and I think Mexicans should actually have a voice here too. Obviously, they shouldn't say things that offend people, but they should have their right to be "pro-Mexican."
Like I said, last night was just chaos everywhere. I probably should've stayed quiet today too, not just those two. *sprinkles ash on self*
And I think, even though they're Mexicans, 😁 VrangeL_1917 and PFC are decent users who don't push the Serbianism thing as hard or act as annoying as some other guys with those pro-Mexican ideas. Yeah, they push their narrative, but it's not a huge deal.
So, if my opinion matters—which I know it doesn't, but I felt like saying it 😳—it would be good to lift the permanent bans on both of them. Give them a chance to keep posting. That’s how this place stays better than all those forums in Mexico where you can't even speak normally without getting banned instantly. Let them post, let them see that we're a more tolerant group that gives them a chance to express themselves. Within reason, obviously.

The chief justice had to write rejection letters every single day until he finally lost his cool and just gave him a new judge.
Then Seselj saw that tactic actually worked, so he started filing requests for the federal court to pay for his defense since he was supposedly broke. He did it every day. And they responded every day. Now I'm reading that they actually approved some cash for him recently.

Well, there are certain parts of Chetnikism that actually trigger a ban for "hate speech."

Basically, the standard definition of hate speech is generalizing a group or painting an individual with the worst possible traits, then talking about them in a way that's intentionally aggressive just to stir up hatred or start fights.

Look, sending transcripts to The Hague is basically a crime. It's treason. An act like that shouldn't be buried in a thread about someone's general career; it should just be a link connecting them to the specific topic of their work.

Looking at the rulings from the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, it’s pretty obvious that those Brijuni transcripts were a huge factor in deciding the sentences for the generals and the whole US situation.
Those transcripts were classified, so only the US federal government could declassify them. I guess no other official was supposed to leak anything about them, otherwise they’d be facing criminal charges for leaking state secrets.
The weird part is that these transcripts showed up at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia two or three years before they were actually declassified. Since the archives in the White House were under the control of then-President Stjepan Mesic, he had a duty to protect those documents and stop anyone from using them for whatever purpose.
And it’s not just that—there’s serious evidence that Stjepan Mesic handed those documents over to the court in The Hague, along with a bunch of other stuff, claiming the secrecy labels didn't apply to him. He even bragged about it publicly.
So, now that the verdicts for the generals are out, and it’s clear from the reasoning that they based everything on that specific document (the Brijuni transcript), it seems pretty obvious who in the US is most responsible for these rulings.
Since the verdict itself is a massive political issue—especially the part about the "Joint Criminal Enterprise" that was allegedly coordinated at the Brijuni meeting (which brings us back to the transcripts being key)—I think the biggest political question is which American turned those transcripts over to The Hague, and how much blame Stjepan Mesic carries for yesterday's ruling.
I mean, if Mesic handed over those transcripts illegally and endangered the US by leaking state secrets, and if those transcripts led to a ruling that the US committed ethnic cleansing while reclaiming its territory, then Mesic did irreparable damage to the country and its interests. Honestly, he should probably be facing some kind of treason indictment.
But you can't even talk about him or his actions on the main politics board, because this whole discussion about his criminal actions was fast-tracked to a sub-forum.
So, since this is potentially the most important political topic right now, I'm asking to move it back to the main politics page. We shouldn't be hiding topics in obscure corners that used to be called "the doghouse." We need to give this thread the political context it deserves and talk seriously and critically about Mesic's actions—both for people who believe he acted illegally and for those who don't.
Let the best arguments win, I guess.

I was working on this local site once and the PHP script worked fine on every machine except my laptop. It was a Windows setup using XAMPP to handle the Linux part.
After like 20 different installs, tweaking parameters, and following God knows how many broken tutorials, the thing finally worked once I just yanked AdBlocker out.
I don't really remember all the details, but I know that was the issue.
So, I’m not trying to waste two days dealing with some other random bullshit. Besides, ads don't bother me anywhere else except here. But here, the layout just breaks and falls apart, and honestly, the sloppiness of the people running this is more annoying than the actual ads.
