Richard Cruz71 said:... I already went looking for this thread on some other board, but honestly? There’s zero useful info there...

Man, you can find a million threads like this on this forum if you look hard enough. 😁

In this specific thread, they actually break down how to pull it off using a bunch of different programs. 🙂

Just grab some dictionary from the web—not that you really need it, I guess, but Google Translate works wonders if you're feeling lazy 😁
Kyle Johnson2 said:or more accurately, just check out THIS post #703

It’s the exact same issue I’m dealing with, except on my end, the thread starts right at the first page 🙂
and that’s actually the post I was thinking of—it worked for me once or twice—I just couldn't be bothered to go hunting for it. 👍

gentleowl66 said:I don't think it's anything malicious or dangerous, just some total garbage... you know, trackers and other internet trash...

You even sure your antivirus is actually registered and active? 🙂

If there's dust buildup inside the case, maybe try vacuuming it out carefully or just hit it with some compressed air. Dust causes a ton of issues if it gets thick enough. 😉

I need some help with page numbering.
Look, I know how to do basic numbering, BUT
is there any way to skip the first couple of pages
so the actual numbering doesn't kick in until page 3 or whatever?
Basically, I don't want to have to manually print out the cover page for my term paper, then mess around adding numbers, and then print the rest separately.🙂

thanks a bunch 😉

check
this thread it explains everything right here 😉

swiftdriver30 said:you sure that's the fix? cuz i'm running two rigs here and one's got internet fine, but my main machine is totally dead :S it's driving me nuts...

On the one that's acting up—did you actually install the network card drivers yet? 🙂
And after you finished setting up the OS, did you even bother configuring the connection settings?

boldcrane6 said:Yeah, the titles match, and I did that thing you suggested—it actually works, subtitles are showing up now. Thanks. 🙂
But as soon as I close the video and try to restart it, the subtitles vanish again. Like, am I seriously going to have to mess around with this SubRip trick every single time? 😁

Just reinstall Gom. Then the subtitles should load automatically, assuming the movie file and the subtitle file have the exact same name. 🙂

shadowjackal82 said:I've got Windows 7 running on my laptop... where do I even turn on Bluetooth??? I need it for my mouse, but I can't find the setting for the life of me...

First off, does your machine actually have Bluetooth built-in? And more importantly, did you actually install the drivers for it?

I don't know, man. Just one of those days where everything feels like a massive uphill battle for no reason. You ever just stare at your screen and wonder why we even bother? Everything is just... glitchy. Life's glitchy. It’s like you fix one thing and three more break, and then you're just sitting there, staring at the wall, wondering where it all went wrong. Anyway. Whatever. jaderanger8 says:
Man, I really need a download link for that specific driver. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be a huge help. Thanks a ton.
🙏🙏

Look, if that network card is actually built right into the motherboard, you gotta tell me which one we're even talking about. Like, what’s the manufacturer and the specific model? Just give me the details.

If it’s not built-in, then what are we looking at? Give me the manufacturer and the specific model of the network card.

that's just how much the OS pulls (maybe a bit less) 😉

dustyranger2 said:So, they're trying to run two operating systems on one machine—Mac OS and Windows 7—and now they're wondering how to actually pull it off. Anyone got a YouTube link for a tutorial? Or better yet, if someone could just write out the steps for them, that would be great. Thanks in advance... 🙂

Are you talking about actual Mac OS X, or are we talking about a Hackintosh here?

Nathan Castillo16 said:It’s just dead. As soon as I try to boot it, nothing happens, then it kicks me right back to the menu asking if I want Windows XP or Ubuntu (Linux)

Maybe you wiped the partition where Windows Vista was sitting when you were installing XP?

Anyone got a LIP? I've been hunting for one but keeping hitting dead ends. If you've got a link, mind sliding it over in a DM? 😉
here I go again 🙂

alright, look, I know this question has probably been asked a million times already and it’s likely a total moron move for you guys who actually know your way around Microsoft Office, but I searched everywhere and came up empty—so here we are, asking the internet

I'm helping a buddy set up Windows on his machine and he's dead set on having Office in American English (specifically Word). My own installs are all in English, running both 2007 and 2010 versions

is there some kind of language pack out there for American English that makes this easy? Doesn't matter if it's for Office 2007 or 2010, just need a fix (just a heads up, they're "legit" 😉)

thanks

Frank Morgan30 said:so obviously the issue is 😁

The Mac file is like 7 GB... how am I even supposed to burn that onto a DVD? 😁
I don't have a USB drive or anything else lying around, so I'm stuck wondering how to make it fit on a disc. Maybe two DVDs? But I've never messed with that before, so I wouldn't even know where to start. -.-'

Anyone got a fix for this?

Just grab an 8.5GB DVD+R DL

Look, maybe try actually learning how to install Windows first, then come back and try installing macOS in like 2 or 3 years. 😬
Go ahead and keep the criticism coming, I don't really care 😉

At least I picked up something useful today 👍
As for my Resume, I'm just emailing it since I'm based out in Phoenix and their headquarters is over in Chicago 😁

By the way, a buddy of mine with an economics degree put the Resume together, then I just tweaked it a bit myself 😁

I haven't messed with Microsoft Office much up until now, but looking at all this, it’s pretty obvious there's a lot of stuff worth knowing

Thanks again, everyone 👍
I managed to knock out both the PDF and the .doc using Word 2007 without any drama

I'll send them over in both formats 😁

thanks for the hand 👍
So, I took Nicholas King's advice and finally got CutePDF installed

Here’s what happens when I try to "print" everything to a PDF

Gonna try installing Office 2007 tonight and see if that actually does anything
Nicholas King said:Nah. Reader is just a "reader." CutePDF is free software and honestly, it gets the job done well enough.

I don't use 2010, but people say it has built-in PDF output, so maybe check that out first.

hehehe I already installed this CutePDF👍
