Right, but that wouldn't be retroactive. Or am I wrong about that?
I believe banks should start populating this new database from the day it actually went live, rather than recycling outdated information from the old unknown system.
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
George Davis3 said:I started taking birth control when I was about 16—I think it was Yasmin or something like that—mostly just to deal with acne and all those other annoying issues...
The side effects were honestly just brutal; I felt like I could have eaten an entire tree because I was constantly starving, and I think I ended up gaining like 15 pounds in less than a month...

Never again for me. I totally respect people who take them for medical reasons, but for everyone else, I’d much rather just track my ovulation cycles and use some other form of protection instead..

I know at least ten girls who were on them and ended up quitting, even the ones who seemed super enthusiastic about starting at first.. I also know two who say they feel fine, though one of them won't even admit that some of her issues are actually from the pills since she's been on them for years...
All in all, I don't know a single person who had a completely positive or happy experience...
Even if I still struggle with breakouts now, I’d honestly rather just deal with the acne than go back to messing with hormones....

Well, since nobody seems to be sharing any success stories here, I’ll step in.
I’m 40 years old and I’ve been on birth control for 15 years straight. I have never had a single issue or side effect.
Oral contraceptives are just like any other medication; not everyone reacts to them the same way, and what works for one person won't work for another. It is simply wrong to draw sweeping generalizations based on half-truths or incorrect information.
I am not saying there are zero risks, but if you are taking "real" pills under the supervision of an OB-GYN, I don't see any reason for unnecessary fear. The worst part is that women attribute things to these pills that aren't even related to them. As I said, the most important thing is having your doctor prescribe the specific therapy that fits you. That requires a little effort, and frankly, many doctors lack the desire to actually put in that work. But we shouldn't blame the pills as if they are the greatest evil on earth.

Gary Stewart78 said:Given that HROK has been effectively "out of the picture" since May 25, 2018, I’ve been pondering a bit of a hypothetical scenario. Is it actually possible to take out two separate loans from two different banks at the same time? Specifically, could you theoretically purchase two different apartments using the same credit capacity—say, based on your single salary? My thought process is this: you rent one place out and live in the other, which would leave you with enough cash flow to cover both mortgage payments simultaneously.🤔

It isn't possible.
New data hasn't been fed into HROK since May 25th, but all the existing records up to that date remain fully accessible.
Besides, an American bank isn't going to hand you a loan based on a handshake or "good vibes." They require pay stubs, bank statements, credit card history, debt disclosures from other institutions, and so on.

Nathan Reyes56 said:Greetings,
I had an auto loan tied to a Swiss Franc loan—that debt was fully settled and closed about three years ago.
My question concerns whether pursuing litigation against the bank is actually worth the effort. Specifically, can anyone provide an estimate of the total financial exposure if I lose the case? I am looking for a rough idea of the combined costs involving legal fees and potential court-ordered damages...

Much appreciated,

It is difficult to provide an estimate off the top of my head.
It depends entirely on the hourly rate you negotiate with your attorney, how long the litigation drags on, and the specific court costs awarded if you lose the case. Those figures will also depend on the total amount in dispute.

Walter Thompson12 said:Does anyone know urgently if I should pay the total debt from the enforcement order directly to my bank or to Goldman Sachs? Basically, I have an outstanding loan that caused my account to be frozen, and I want to pay off the full amount right now to get everything unblocked. Do I go through the bank or Goldman Sachs? Thanks!

There is no need to travel anywhere. Just leave the funds in your account and the collection agency will automatically pull them. Once they do, your account gets unfrozen, sometimes that same day or the next business day.
The only complication arises if you are facing multiple garnishments. It all depends on the priority of the creditors, and since your bank might not be first in line, if your goal is specifically to clear the debt with the bank, you should deal with them directly.
Anyone here know much about licensed loan brokers? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Alex Jones19 said:I'm looking to get some funding together, but my local Chase branch isn't biting on a loan... It’s a bit frustrating because I can clearly show them the funds I have on hand and prove I've got the means to pay it back. So, I was thinking—maybe a licensed credit broker
might be able to bridge the gap? I just stumbled upon the concept the other day—kind of like finding a specialized consultant when your usual doctor won't give you a second opinion—so if anyone here knows how they actually operate or has had any luck using them, please share your thoughts!

Like you stated yourself, they are brokers. To put it plainly, they don't issue loans. They act as intermediaries between you and a lender. You tell them what kind of credit you're looking for, and they already know which bank has the best offers or specific requirements to make it happen. Essentially, they save you the hassle of driving from one Chase branch to another and help gather paperwork. Sometimes they speed things up or push the process along, but they aren't the ones cutting the checks. At the end of the day, the money comes from a bank or potentially even the Gestapo.
And no, nobody is going to accept your PayPal balance as collateral for a loan, so you can stop dreaming about that.

I've run into this issue with my mobile banking app twice now. Everything is working perfectly fine, then suddenly I get hit with a message saying my security token isn't activated. I call customer support at Chase, and they just give me the same old line: "Look, these glitches happen occasionally; you'll need to head down to a local branch to pick up a new activation key." It seems like this has started happening more frequently lately, and frankly, it has absolutely nothing to do with whatever smartphone you're using.

As far as I know, it works with PayPal. It didn't cause any issues back in the day, though I haven't touched PayPal in over a year, so if they changed something recently, who knows.

silentskipper3 said:I’d probably go with Diners Club, but there's this nagging issue from a while back. I had this old parking ticket from maybe $100 years ago that finally resurfaced as a legal garnishment since I only had a few bucks left in my account. Honestly, I don't mind it too much; once my paycheck hits at the end of the week, they'll just take what they're owed and my account should be unfrozen. My main question is, will Diners Club give me trouble because of that deduction? Just to be clear—I'm not on any blacklists or anything; my bank still considers me a "reliable" customer.

From what I understand, when Diners Club approves a card, they don't look at HROK. They only check the credit bureau reports. So, it shouldn't be an issue.

Henry Fisher52 said:Hey everyone, I’ve been messing around with my Chase mobile app lately and was wondering if anyone knows the deal with transaction fees. Specifically, how many monthly bills can I pay through the app before they start hitting me with extra service charges?
I think I heard somewhere that you can knock out up to five different bills every month regardless of what the total amount is, all without paying an extra cent in fees. Is that actually true?

Do you have one of their specific account packages? Every tier comes with a set number of monthly bill payments allowed without fees. It doesn't matter where the money is going—whether you're sending it to Google or some other bank—and the amount of the bill is irrelevant.
Best bank in America? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Look, there’s absolutely no rule saying you have to keep every single one of your accounts at one bank just because you like their interface. If certain products don't meet your standards, move them. Maybe one bank is perfectly fine for your checking account and debit cards, but their foreign exchange rates are garbage compared to someone else. That isn't an issue. It's just basic logic.

I maintain accounts at both JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, but I am significantly more satisfied with Goldman Sachs across the board. Everything from their technical platforms to their lending products and general courtesy is superior.

Goldman Sachs maintains a deposit ATM near the start of Fifth Avenue in NYC, and likely one at their headquarters on Broadway too. Beyond that, there isn't much. In fact, I doubt they even have them in other cities.

Edit:

I just love these freshly minted accounts popping up out of nowhere offering people money... nothing but old decoys, just as ancient as Babyyyylon.

That was a funny joke to me too. Typical modern user registration.
But the story doesn't end there. After I told them to stop threatening me with baseless actions and suggested they report me to the moderator if anything in my post is an issue, I received yet another message claiming they would settle scores with anonymous kometators who are anonymously kometing them. 😂

I handle everything through email, and plenty of people who don't realize that end up paying fees they shouldn't. If you know better, just send an email instead of calling. Personally, I'm satisfied.

You claim you sent an email, but all they listed was a phone number and the long-distance rates. You aren't being credible here.

From what I gather, you can't just grab an anonymous prepaid card here; you either have to deal with a bank or use a service like Venmo, which requires your actual info anyway. It’s different elsewhere. In the US, you can just walk into any drugstore or supermarket and pick one up, so the whole situation is different. As for PayPal, sure, you could try to find some hacked or fake account, but that's entering criminal territory.

Does it actually have to be that way? Every Chase Bank package offers specific perks you can take advantage of. Whether you end up using just one feature or every single benefit included, the monthly premium remains exactly the same. For instance, I carry the flexible plan, which covers things like travel insurance, roadside assistance, home repairs, and so on. If I need them, I use them; if not, I don't. But regardless of my actual usage, I am paying the same monthly fee either way. Just pick the option that makes the most sense for you.
Nosy banks in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Just ask yourself how much personal information you're actually broadcasting on social media without a second thought. That is the real issue here, not what banks or other major institutions demand from you. At least those entities are legally obligated to protect your data. What you voluntarily dump onto the internet is essentially public property.

wanderingbadger4 said:So I heard about this absolute creep running ads online who claims he only gives loans exclusively to women or girls... a friend of mine stumbled right into his trap, and I’ll have to ask her to send me the link just so I can see how ridiculous this is... basically, from everything she told me, the guy starts out by demanding all this personal info to "verify creditworthiness" and marital status, then moves on to asking for photos, and before you know it, he's pivoting into these twisted sexual schemes while pretending to be some kind of high-brow intellectual... in reality, he almost never actually hands out any money unless there's a sexual component involved... oh, and get this, the photo has to be a full-body shot... honestly, what a joke... 😵🤦

Yes, there's an ad on Craigslist for it. The guy is completely bizarre; honestly, I don't think he's all there. Everything points to the fact that he's just bartering sex for money, even if he won't say it outright. An unbelievable individual. 😵
