Jerry Cooper3 said:I honestly fail to grasp the logic behind it; if someone identifies as straight, why on earth should they harbor any particular concern regarding whether another individual is gay?

You totally missed my point. It’s not about whether I personally care if someone is gay or not. ☕

You’re just twisted for sexually stalking vulnerable, hurting, and lonely women on this anxiety forum and constantly hitting on them just to get laid. It's sick.

The fact that you even have thoughts like that makes you the weird one here. Besides, what you're doing is libel, so watch your step.☕
Truth is, I've never met any of the women from this anxiety forum in real life, nor have I ever tried to.
You're just twisting everything and making it sound dirty, which is a whole different story.
The internet is one thing, but real life is something else entirely.
If we're being totally honest, you were actually the one hitting on me for a while. Anyone can go back and read those threads on the anxiety board.☕
Then you tried starting that thread about gay rights over there. When that didn't get the reaction you wanted, you decided to start this thread instead.🙄

Daniel Wilson5 said:Zeus, I’m not even going to get into the debate over LGBTQ+ rights because, frankly, I find the whole concept questionable... But I do get why you’re so worked up. You’re clearly offended that I asked those girls if they found it creepy how you’re constantly hitting on them sexually. Don't try to hide behind "anxiety" when these poor women are just looking for a little bit of comfort or advice, only for you to turn it into something vulgar. It felt tasteless, and honestly, it turned out to be spot on—some of those girls actually responded, saying you were attacking and insulting them... Still, I suppose I should give you credit for pivoting your strategy. Now, instead of being direct, you lead with a crude joke, follow it up with a "just kidding" disclaimer, and then finally answer their questions like a proper doctor. Very subtle... Anyway, don't go getting all puffed up thinking I'm your competition. I really am not...

Why don't you scroll back through the thread and see where I actually insulted anyone?
As far as I can tell, my jokes about sex only rubbed one person the wrong way, and she happens to be married. I mostly just ignore her anyway.😁
If you really want to know, she's a total homophobe. 😁😛

I can't believe I actually said that out loud! Honestly, I should probably just keep my thoughts to myself more often, haha. But hey, sometimes you just have to let it rip! kaže:
I honestly don't get why you even bother starting threads with "homo" in the title, let alone actually replying to them.🤷

Look, I get it. It's your right, absolutely—as long as you aren't stepping on anyone else's toes to make your point.
Look, I can think whatever negative things I want about you, but as long as I'm not actually stepping on your toes or messing with your life, it's nobody's business.

I’m not out to hurt anyone. I have zero interest in marching in any Pride parades, and I'm certainly not looking to lecture you guys. Legion hit the nail on the head. Honestly? I couldn't care less what you all think.
Opening like fifty different threads for every single PDF could really come back to bite you guys.😉

Gary James88 said:Gay people deserve the exact same rights as any other citizen in this country.
But let’s be real: expecting everyone to suddenly embrace them or champion their cause just because of some "awareness" campaign is pure fantasy.
At the end of the day, people are entitled to their own views, opinions, and even their prejudices.

Honestly, you guys are getting exhausting with all this gay stuff. 🙄I can't even start a single thread without one of you jumping down my throat.
So what? I'm homophobic and I don't want to change. I have a right to my opinion. It's not like I want to hear about gays and lesbians and their love lives. Legion put it perfectly. If you turn this forum into a gay site, we'll just move to other pages. Or go ahead and start a separate PDF to hang out there. But I don't have to read it.☕
And again, I have a right to my own opinion.😁
Maybe he’s just terrified of getting hurt again. Some wounds take a long time to heal, you know? If he’s completely shutting down whenever his ex comes up, those scars are probably still pretty raw.
If you were just some casual hookup to him, he wouldn't care who you were hanging out with when he wasn't around.

There’s no way you can truly be on your own at sixteen. You’ve finished high school, sure, but you still need time to grow. It feels like life is just waiting for you to catch up.🙄
My best advice? Just hang in there. Get through high school and then head off to college. If you pull decent grades, you might even get the chance to study in a different city. That’s your golden ticket to finally getting some breathing room from the old man.👍
You could also try reaching out to your dad. If he’s currently paying child support, you should definitely be entitled to that money—especially if you end up moving away for school.
Bottom line: just grind it out for two more years, then pack your bags and head to a new city for college.👍
Roger Morgan4 said:Honestly, there’s nothing quite like being tucked into bed while it’s pouring rain outside. I finally have enough energy left to actually sit down and watch some TV without feeling completely wiped out. I don't really get how someone can be so self-assured when handing out "advice" like this. Maybe they meant well, but they should probably broaden their horizons a bit. We all have our own ways of unwinding and relaxing, after all.

So, you want to share the bed? 😉😍

I actually dealt with something similar with a woman on an online forum once. But there was a catch—we knew each other in real life. We had been dating for a few months before I ended things, and suddenly, she started picking fights with everything I posted. I tried to respond to her, but man, it escalated way past any reasonable level. She basically sent me a whole manifesto.
In the end, I just put her on ignore. Honestly, that’s your only real move.
We can all sit here and act like we have it all figured out, but psychology is a tricky thing. You can't just pretend you're a therapist if you aren't one, and you definitely shouldn't try to prescribe "therapy" based on a handful of forum posts.🙄
We actually called it quits two years ago, though I somehow ended up being her fuck buddy for another year after that.🙄
Adam Barrett said:Based on that, she doesn't sound like much of an angel... if you actually love someone, you stick by them through the thick and thin.

Look, I’m definitely not being objective here. If it were her, I’d probably come up with a hundred excuses just to shift all the blame onto myself.🙄
I can't be a superstar in every single area of my life. You actually said it yourself—finding a real connection takes a little bit of luck, and I’m clearly running low on that right now.😢
Walter Peterson said:Your issues run much deeper than just this breakup. Are you actually working on them?

The phobias and panic attacks? Yeah, I inherited those from my mom. I've been dealing with them since I was ten. You know how it is—the last thing you ever think is that it's all in your head. So, you end up bouncing between every specialist in town. Everyone gives you a different diagnosis. One guy told me I had a brain tumor, another said it was MS. By their logic, I should be dead by now, or at least using a wheelchair.
What a joke.😍
And honestly, what am I supposed to do? I can't find the time for psychotherapy with my work schedule being what it is. I did see a psychiatrist, though, and they put me on some ADHD meds and an anti-anxiety script. I will say the attacks happen less often now, but they still pop up just to remind me they're there.😢
copperfox22 said:Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you're romanticizing things a bit too much here.🙂

It isn't really that there's some "unbeatable" standard out there. No one is. It's just that there isn't only one single high-quality person who fits your criteria perfectly. Maybe the real issue is that, deep down, you aren't actually looking to move on. You might find someone great, but only if you can finally accept that she was a chapter that closed, rather than treating her like this permanent benchmark.

I’ve truly loved twice in my life. The first time, things didn't go my way either. My girlfriend passed away when she was only 18—right before high school graduation. She had a heart arrhythmia that doctors just couldn't fix back then. Her heart basically just stopped. By the time the ambulance arrived, it was already too late.😢
And this is the second time. 😢Everything else in my life has been meaningless.
The biggest issue is just the lack of communication. On top of that, I’m dealing with my own anxiety and panic attacks. I struggle with agoraphobia and social anxiety too, which makes everything so much harder to manage. I constantly worry about what people will think if I have a panic attack in public. She has such a huge family, and here I am struggling with agoraphobia.😲
It’s a tough combination to navigate. Eventually, we stopped going out almost entirely because she was always terrified that I’d have a panic attack. 😢
Walter Peterson said:Perhaps my phrasing was imprecise. Every single moment will remain etched in your mind, and I am certain you would live through it all again, remembering it with a smile.

What I intended to convey is that, as time passes, the sorrow and bitterness will dissipate, eventually leaving you ready to try again with someone else.

But what if I end up measuring every future relationship against my ex? Honestly, I just know it’ll never feel the way it did with her.😢
Adam Barrett said:🙏 Props to 👍. Honestly, don't let yourself lose something huge just because you misread someone in the past. If someone hurt you, they don't deserve even a second of your headspace.
I've been wondering about this—I actually asked over on the Samosabotage thread in Lonely Hearts—do you guys engage in Samosabotage when you actually really, really like someone? Or do you just bail right at the start because you simply don't care?
And is this something caused by one specific person, or has it happened with multiple people?

As for me, I tend to force myself into relationships, and they always end up being total disasters where I end up hurting the girl.😢
Someone once pointed out that we go hunting for the physically perfect partner because we’re basically just looking for "ideal DNA" to produce a beautiful, smart kid.
Most women would be thrilled to land a guy who's both handsome and brilliant, and honestly, it’s the exact same deal for men.
But as the years tick by, those standards tend to shift. A friend of mine—who isn't unattractive by any means, she's just feeling the pressure of her biological clock—told me she’s narrowed her list down to just two requirements.
1. He’s a man.
2. He’s sane.😁
Walter Peterson said:It isn't that you are incapable; you are simply taking the path of least resistance. You need to focus on personal growth.

I actually gave it a shot a few times. It just wouldn't happen. I feel terrible for her.😢
Here’s the deal. I lived with my girlfriend for about six years without being married. Even after we split, we kept seeing each other for another year. I basically became her casual hookup.
I honestly don't think I'll ever love anyone like that again. Every girl I've dated since then? I just end up comparing them to my ex. It makes me feel like I'm totally broken when it comes to relationships, like I've lost the ability to actually care about someone.😢
I definitely agree that most women are out there looking for some fairy tale prince. Then reality hits, they realize they're getting older, and suddenly they find themselves alone.👎
Plus, those "bad boys"—the guys who kind of disrupt the status quo—are always the ones in high demand.
Being a genuinely nice guy just isn't trendy right now. 🙄
