Font color settings on the forum in Forum Help! ·
It’s not the font color, it’s the freaking size... I couldn't find a specific thread for this, so I just grabbed the first thing that looked even remotely close.
My bad if this looks messy, I'm just typing on the fly here—I must've bumped something on my keyboard because now the text on this forum is microscopic... seriously, it's tiny.
Honestly, I have no clue what button I hit, and now I'm stuck staring at these tiny little ants instead of actual words.
Every other site I visit looks perfectly fine, it's just this one forum that's acting like a miniature version of itself.
Thanks in advance!
First Communion gift ideas? in Students & Teens ·
For his First Communion, we went with-
a kid's Bible with this super sweet inscription... plus a keepsake book and an album specifically for his First Communion. It’s got spots to stick in photos, list who showed up, write down his little thoughts and all that. Really cute stuff.
And we tucked 50 bucks in the card... (back then he was saving up for a new bike 🙂).

I was the godmother at her baptism, and since I'm also her aunt, we went a bit bigger on the gift...
We picked out a cross, but not one of those flimsy little kid ones. (I actually second-guessed the symbolism for a second—wondering if I should go with a flower charm or maybe a medallion instead. But since it was a baptism and she’s being raised in the faith, we stuck with the cross)... I wanted her to have something she could actually wear once she hits late puberty, gets her first job, or even when she's older.
Something like this (not diamonds, just some "special" cubic zirconia) I found online http://www.amazon.com/White-Diamond-...3DB001G603ZO.. I didn't want some childish trinket; I wanted something for the long haul, something to remind her of her aunt and her baptism :auntie's gold:
I also grabbed a little dress and a top for the ceremony, plus a ribbon, a handkerchief, and a candle..

You're being dramatic. ☕
Look, I know Americans can lack class, solidarity, and basic decency sometimes, but I’m telling you, something else entirely tanked that game. It wasn't just the vibe in the arena...
Joseph Clark37 said:They aren't even close to being the best. You guys didn't step up when the pressure was on, and that's why you ended up in third place instead of taking the trophy. Simple as that.

I'm with you on this one. Totally.
Look, we’re decent at handball, sure. We hold our own. But let’s be real—we aren't even in the conversation with the heavy hitters. If we were actually elite, our trophy case would be overflowing with gold, not just a handful of silver and bronze medals. It just isn't there.

casualskipper8 said:We played like absolute garbage against the Mexicans, mostly because the whole atmosphere felt like a freaking lynch mob. It’s impossible to focus when you feel like there's a target on your back. Honestly? It was basically just "forget the handball, let's just try to get out of there in one piece."

Not with this...
What does atmosphere even have to do with anything? Seriously.
Look, I get it. It’s easy to play your heart out when you've got 20,000 fans screaming your name like you're some kind of god. But you gotta show up when the whole damn arena is rooting for you to fail. You gotta give everything you've got even when everyone's against you... damn it.
Look, we aren't talking about some local little league team here. We’re talking about the national team. Professionalism should be through the roof, right? It’s a given. So, since you think it’s an issue, what are you actually getting at? You honestly believe our guys aren't playing like pros?
Even Ivan said himself that the whole vibe didn't touch him one bit. He’s used to tuning everything out. Just shuts it all down.
I don't get it. How does an atmosphere like that result in anything other than pure, unadulterated hunger? It’s supposed to fire you up, fuel that chip on your shoulder, and trigger a total revolt. Anything else is just a waste of time.
How to delete photos? in Forum Help! ·
Hey, if someone could please scrub my photos from the "red hair" thread on the second-to-last page and the one right before it...
I only showed my face so you ladies could give me some honest advice on whether this new color would actually work for me or just look ridiculous..
That was my first time posting pics, and lesson learned—from here on out, I’ll make sure to blur or pixelate my face, whatever it takes 🙂 but at that moment, I felt like I had to show it..
Not sure if you guys can even do that, but thanks a ton regardless 🙂

Drew Morgan said:Is this senile dementia or Alzheimer, mixed with psychological issues stemming from isolation? I agree—you have to meet her where she is and enter her world.

Frankly, the people who want to just numb an elderly woman with a cocktail of pills because "she’s old and dying soon" drive me absolutely insane. I honestly don't know what goes through your heads when you think like that...😲😲😲

My grandma had Alzheimer for 8 years..
And yeah, I agree, there isn't much doctors can actually do here..
We took her to a doctor right at the start, but they sent her to a state psych ward, and we found her tied down to a bed. 😲 😲
We brought her home immediately and she lived with us for 8 years after that..
It's a brutal disease. Honestly, I'd say it's harder on the caregivers than the patient themselves.
Because they're living in their own universe.. eventually, she wouldn't recognize any of us.. She'd wake up in the middle of the night claiming she was heading to a Broadway premiere.. Over time, we started hiding anything sharp from her, like kitchen knives, because you never know how someone might react.
One day I was her neighbor, the next she was asking if I was married to her brother, and by the third day—she had no clue who I was..
It was exhausting, man, seriously..
If we had to play with Barbies, we did. Even though she was 88, she wanted to play with Barbies. 😍
Yeah, hallucinations and making things up are definitely part of it, along with everything else, but you just have to push through.. You just have to be patient. 😉

Arguing on some random internet thread while your dad is lying in the next room looking pretty rough... yeah, I gotta side with morbidangel on this one.
Whatever, I hope your old man starts feeling a hell of a lot better soon.
