JohnDoe123 is way too biased and shouldn't be a moderator in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Ever since he stepped up as a mod, he’s been systematically wiping out any comments that don't fit his specific version of the FBI—it's pretty obvious. Look, I get how you defend your profession—trust me, I'll defend the IT field just as fiercely—but the issue here is that he does it without a shred of critical thinking regarding the police. It’s actually gotten so bad that he straight-up told me the things I saw with my own eyes were—get this—untrue.

Just to be clear, I think our local police are fine for the most part; they don't have an issue with me, and I don't have one with them. I think they do a good job, but that doesn't mean I won't call them out when they mess up or screw something up. After all, isn't criticism exactly what drives improvement and fixes problems?

That goes for this thread, too. In my opinion, Brian Edwards6 is way too subjective to be a quality moderator, and his actions constantly stifle constructive debate and actual critical thinking.

I know deep down this post won't change a thing—and people will probably just roll their eyes and go, "Good grief, there she goes again with the trolling"—but I also know this will serve as ammunition for when Brian Edwards6 finally gets called out by someone who is actually high-quality, sincere, and honest. It's just a matter of time before he messes up so badly that even the admins can't ignore it, and then they'll start remembering all the complaints... including this one.

Best,
Michelle Alvarez8 👍

Edward Johnson50 said:Here’s my take on what I know about them:
- way sharper perception (honestly, they put today's crowd to shame)
- a memory like an elephant
- just naturally gifted when it comes to acting, music, painting... basically, they were born artists 😁
- total bundles of energy—super hyperactive
- and get this—scientists have actually claimed that every single leftie who sat for an IQ test clocked in at over 140

What do you guys think? Let me hear your thoughts!

Then I look at my cousin—someone who wouldn't know perception if it hit her in the face, who would spend hours searching for a Briton just to walk past him a few times, whose memory only kicks in when she needs to remember which celebrity hung out with whom, who’s only "talented" at acting when she’s too lazy to get herself a glass of water, who's as hyperactive as a Sphinx, and definitely isn't exactly a genius in the IQ department.

Michael Moore45 said:One thing is absolutely certain—this whole phase of going out and drinking too much is eventually going to catch up with you.
My honest advice? Just get through it as quickly as possible and live it all out now.
I went through my own version of this when I was sixteen and seventeen, and honestly, I’m totally over it now. It’s a huge contrast to one of my girlfriends, for instance; back then, she used to constantly lecture me about it, saying things like, "Oh, don't drink too much," or "Are you feeling okay?" Well, she's twenty now, and instead of actually focusing on her college classes or anything meaningful in life, she's still just obsessing over where the next party is, how much she can drink, and which guy she can hook up with.

In my opinion, it’s probably better to just burn through that energy early on, but hey, if you aren't really feeling it right now, I guess there's not much else I can say, right? 😁
That phase will come for you eventually, and when it does, it'll come. By the way, you're perfectly normal, so don't even worry about it. 🤣

Using the word "catch up" makes it sound like I'm running away from this "partying and drinking" phase in the first place! Plus, that "certainty" you're talking about is just nonsense. I'm nearly 34—I've never found hitting the clubs and getting wasted particularly interesting. What am I supposed to do, go wild now? ☕
Daniel Ward87 didn't just "hand out warnings" out of nowhere—he only flagged those posts after spending all day debating things with me and Nicholas King. And honestly? The girls haven't "gone wild"—they're just losing it because they can't wrap their heads around the idea that anyone would actually lie about stuff like this. It's fine to see the world through rose-colored glasses, I guess, but reality is pretty damn gray.

Plus, I even caught a warning for trolling—even though I wasn't trolling! Meanwhile, the mod who told me to watch my mouth walked away totally clean. Another thing... I don't think this crowd gets that there are genuinely toxic people out there who will invent any crazy story just to get attention—and then naively believe everything they read online. You've got an account with three posts where the first one claims they can't handle a relationship, and the next two are talking about group chats on hazelnut forums; there's no way that's someone dealing with actual trauma. If—by some tiny, unlikely chance—it actually is true, they need professional help, not whatever support they'll find on a forum.
Hannah Roberts66 said:Everything would be perfectly fine—if just ONCE since I've been hanging out here—I hadn't been banned for reporting someone who was insulting me. [/B]

Why are you even surprised?

I report a few posts where people are attacking me, then I report them again. Then I head over to the PŽK to ask why those users haven't been penalized, only for the admin to tell me, "Well, you're the one asking to be insulted." After hours of arguing, they finally manage to penalize the very first insult, but all the others go totally unpunished—and then somehow, I'm the one getting hit with a ban for trolling, even though I literally spent several posts explaining how not to troll!

So, just keep reporting them. 😁

Afkors, I think we're just seeing things differently—you seem to view this subscription as an absolute necessity, whereas I’ve always pitched it as more of a "nice-to-have" extra.

I think you might have mixed me up with Nicholas King. 😕

And honestly? The idea for an optional subscription is just about offering little perks—you know, bigger avatars, fancy signatures, stuff like that. I don't get why anyone would call it "pathetic" to give users a choice. Of course, if people decide not to subscribe, they’ll still see ads. But the crew who opts in gets a totally ad-free experience. Look, running servers isn't free, bandwidth costs money, and we've gotta pay our moderators too—plus, what's the harm in having extra ways to fund things?

The standard admin response is pretty straightforward: sending extra email notifications for every single quoted post would just bloat the database and strain the servers—plus, it messes with how ads are served and displayed.

Here’s a suggestion that might actually help—why not move the ads to the sides so they aren't squeezing the Reddit feed? It's what they do on ESPN and CNN, and honestly, the current setup looks terrible. I feel like I've got tunnel vision and it’s making me nauseous. Which is a change, considering most of my nausea comes from the posts themselves—not the layout! I just can't deal with it.

Another thought: maybe Jack could take another look at that old idea about starting (semi)annual subscriptions. Subscribers wouldn't get bombarded by ads, but the site would still be bringing in steady revenue regardless.
That’s hardly an excuse—really. 🙂 We should be aiming for something much better than this.
Sorry for going off-topic—but Zachary Mendoza2, don't get mad at me! It’s actually written sve, not svih. You know, because of the genitive case—"of whom? of what?"—and all that stuff, right?

Nicholas King said:If we imagine some hypothetical forum member who—let's say—spends one single night flooding the KZB with twenty different threads about family, pets, and their feelings toward the entire admin team, both collectively and individually... wouldn't you agree that saying "never" is maybe a bit harsh? 😁.

Just picture this hypothetical fellow user—someone who hasn't actually done anything wrong—who first gets hit with a partial ban on the PŽK just so they can't even file an appeal, and then, when they try to make a new account to voice a grievance, they get a permanent ban for being a "ban evasion clone." All because someone pathetic was allowed to take their frustrations out on everyone else? Honestly, I think that "never" is totally justified.
Lisa Hernandez3 said:Where was this presented? Maybe some link? I'm curious about the logic behind it.

I mean, honestly—I’m assuming it was brought up here on the local board. And if my memory serves me right, you should be looking for the user cp.tar.
If you can't be bothered to search, you could always just ask an admin directly. 😁

Actually, I was complaining about the folks who let just anyone moderate and then leave their nonsense all over the forum. No worries though! 🥳
Nah, listen, the forum would be way better if we just didn't have all these idiots hanging around.

Look, this idea popped up here a few years ago, so it’s definitely not anything new. Back then, though, it was presented much more seriously and with actual arguments—not just this "OMG, great idea!" vibe. Could it work? Sure, it could be great! But it runs into the exact same issue we have with current moderation: subjectivity and being stubborn. At the end of the day, the problem isn't how we maintain order—it's the people in charge.

Henry Hernandez7 said:I'm bringing this up because I've personally felt the sting of being shut out from basic communication.

If you can still post here on KzB, then communication isn't broken—is it? Honestly, cutting someone off completely would be such a low, dirty move... and I really don't think our site admins would ever pull something that shady on any of us.
