Wait, how can the drive be the issue if he said XP boots just fine on the exact same setup?
We really need to nail down why Windows won't install on that first PC—especially since he's struggling with three different versions. Something is definitely funky going on with that hardware.
I don't think just saying "it sounds like a distorted nickname, so let the mod decide" is enough—we really need to look at the context behind *why* someone’s twisting a name. I mean, can we all agree that every debate has its own vibe? Using a nickname like "slafica" hits differently when you're just messing around in a random chatroom versus using it in a serious thread where the other person clearly has zero actual arguments left and is just resorting to mockery, right?
The first instance is totally harmless and meant well, whereas the second one is blatant trolling and ad hominem insults. That kind of thing shouldn't be left up to some vague "moderator discretion."
Thanks.
P.S. Since you're working on cleaning up the mod/admin group, let me make it easier for you to pass the word along to "management":
Come on, get that sorted already. It shouldn't be that hard!
In that case, it might be a good idea to refresh the forum rules and the guidelines for bans—just so we aren't all guessing in the dark, right? It’d be much better if everything was laid out clearly for everyone to see.
What’s the actual policy when it comes to people intentionally messing with usernames? Honestly, nothing has really addressed my original question yet.
Could someone be a pal and explain the logic behind getting this post banned? It was flagged for harassment—even though the post doesn't actually call out any specific user. To me, banning stuff like this just makes zero sense. 🤷
EDIT: DISCLAIMER for those who might be a little slow on the uptake: This isn't an appeal against the ban. I'm telling you, this isn't an appeal.

So what, he’ll just take the processor in for repairs? I really don't get why you're making this such a big deal. 🤷
Honestly, my monitors always worked perfectly right up until the second they just died—total black screens while that little orange power light just kept blinking at me. 😁
Check your cables first, but if everything looks solid—then it’s probably time to look at the monitor itself.

Try popping the mouse open and checking the connectors under the button.
BTW, what kind of mouse are we even talking about here? If it's some old General Electric model, honestly—just toss it in the trash and grab something decent.
