Sitting without back support in Health ·
Whether you’re using a lumbar support, sitting without one, or balancing on an exercise ball... the truth is, you'll feel the least amount of pain if you just aren't sitting all day. There isn't some magic formula that lets you sit for eight hours straight without your back paying the price.

I'm honestly not sure how much progress you can make just through exercises alone, though maybe giving biofeedback therapy a shot could help. As far as I know, getting an artificial Sphincter implanted shouldn't have any impact on your fertility. My own focus is on stress and urge incontinence, so what you're dealing with is a bit outside my wheelhouse... You should definitely check in with that specialized clinic, though. They deal specifically with issues like yours, so try reaching out to them to see what kind of treatment options are actually on the table.

I don't think your issue is actually coming from weak pelvic floor muscles; it sounds more neurological to me. Either way, you’ll need a team approach to tackle this—think urologists, pelvic floor specialists, and maybe even physical therapists if that's what the doctors suggest. In my experience, the best place to get this kind of multidisciplinary care here in the States is at the Mayo Clinic...

When it comes to dealing with incontinence, you shouldn't just look at urologists or OB-GYNs. There are also physical therapists who specialize specifically in pelvic floor therapy, and honestly, you can work absolute miracles with the right exercises. It’s definitely a smart option to try before jumping into surgery—since procedures often don't fully fix the issue, or worse, they just trade one problem for another, like having a hard time peeing later on...

That’s how it looks on the surface, but honestly, it’s not quite like that... I mean, yeah, I’ve decided to let go of all that bitterness, and I really hope it stays that way for good...

For all time and through the spring, that race just draws all the energy from the mountains... 🙂

Back at it again with my endless grievances.🙂 My mother-in-law really pushed my buttons today—she actually had the nerve to lecture my mom about why we eat lunch together every single day, suggesting I should be using that time to learn how to cook instead. 🙄 Look, let’s be real—I’m no Gordon Ramsay—especially since my husband worked out of the house while I was stuck in an office all day; frankly, I never felt the need to cook just for myself. Now that I'm home, after a period of just resting, both my MIL and my mom have been doing the cooking—so now my in-laws are used to us all eating together, and they couldn't care less if it's a table for three or five. I don't owe anyone an explanation for having lunch at my parents' place. Besides, why does it matter where we eat? My husband doesn't mind—is she seriously worried her son might go hungry one day???
If you ask me, women like my mother-in-law are exactly why men today can't even fry an egg or figure out how to start a dishwasher. If I didn't serve everything up on a silver platter, he'd be lost—especially now that I'm pregnant. 🙂 🙂🙂🙂

As far as I'm concerned, my patience has officially run dry... I can only imagine how much harder things will be during pregnancy or when there's a little one running around.
And as for all the animal lovers and people acting like moral police... no comment. I just don't understand why some people feel such a massive need to meddle in everyone else's business.
Medical Needles in Health ·
You don't even need a prescription for this. Besides local pharmacies, you can pick them up right at the Mayo Clinic.
Is it just clumsiness or something else? in Health ·
Yeah, definitely going for the pro diagnostics. Might see a neurologist, just to be safe...
How to find out your blood type? in Health ·
If there’s a medical reason for it—like needing surgery or being pregnant, for instance—you just get a referral from your doctor. For those who are super curious but don't actually need a test, you can always just pay for a private screening or, better yet, go donate blood. I honestly don't get the comments from people saying they want to check their blood type but are too scared to donate. I mean, it's just a quick poke... you just close your eyes and get it over with, right? Plus, once you donate, you get an official donor card and your blood type is recorded officially in the system. It’s all on paper. And hey, if anyone is feeling particularly adventurous, you can always order a home testing kit online, though you'll have to do the finger prick yourself...
I mean, if I had to actually memorize every single one of my patients' diagnoses just to be able to rehabilitate them effectively... I'd be totally overwhelmed. There are just way too many out there. If that were the case, I wouldn't even be able to hold down a job!

Such a great topic... perfect for wrapping this all up.

Not quite, but the real question is whether the injury is actually in the tendon or if it's just the pulleys. You should Google "climber's finger" to see the difference. Either way, I’d really recommend taking a break and then making a super gradual comeback—maybe stick to some easier routes first...
Chiropractor before emergency surgery??? in Health ·
I really can't get behind making surgery the first line of defense in cases like this unless one of those three major indicators is actually present. It’s just too expensive, way too inefficient, and honestly, just massive stress for everyone involved. Especially when you have someone stuck in bed for two months just waiting for a procedure... they're never going to make a 100% recovery at that point.
Pain that radiates all the way down to the foot isn't an automatic reason for surgery either. Almost everyone dealing with standard sciatica deals with that, and I've seen plenty of patients in my own experience who were in the exact same boat—they skipped the operating room and went with conservative treatment instead, and they're doing great now.

fadedmarlin402 said:Whatever you do, stay away from chiropractors. They can honestly make things so much worse... If the situation is as bad as it looks, surgery might actually be the best way to go.

That’s actually a really good question... A recurrence after surgery like we're talking about, except it just shifts over to the next segment...
Chiropractor before emergency surgery??? in Health ·
If you aren't dealing with actual loss of motor function, please, get a second opinion before you even think about scheduling surgery. Numbness alone isn't a reason to go under the knife; most of the time, you can manage that with conservative treatments instead.

As for chiropractic care... well, that’s at your own risk. Someone who actually knows their stuff shouldn't cause you any harm, but let's be honest—chiropractors here aren't strictly regulated by any federal laws, so anyone can just claim they're a specialist if they want to.

You can actually ask questions over at cybermed.com. There are a few other things you can do there too, but I can't quite think of them all right this second...
You can—and honestly, you should—just grab two boxes right away. Your doctor is totally allowed to write two boxes on a single prescription, or you could even ask them for a refillable prescription so you can just pick up one box at a time every month for the next six months...
