I couldn't agree more.
Hey there, everyone! Just dropping in to say hello to the community.👍

Are you guys all just volunteering here or what?

Oh, please. We’re rolling in it. I actually used my forum salary to take a summer vacation on the Danube.☕

BTW just look at posts from someone like Emericzy who isn't even a moderator on this forum yet.

We’d all be pretty thrilled if Em decided to step back into the moderator role.
Unfortunately, though, he’s not interested.
Maybe the pay is just too high for him; I suppose he wouldn't know what to do with all that extra cash.🤷
Can mods have their DMs turned off? in Feedback & Suggestions ·

I’d argue that it really all comes down to how you phrase that private message.
If someone decides to go nuclear on me over some trivial nonsense, I don't think it’s exactly reasonable to expect a reply within 24 hours... or ever, for that matter.
New skin? in Feedback & Suggestions ·

I'm inclined to agree.
Everything feels clean and easy on the eyes.

Personally, I can't stand those dark themes they try to push.

Nescafé or Turkish coffee? in Miscellaneous ·
Elizabeth Baker38 said:I’ve walked away from an instant coffee at a cafe more than once just because it was prepared so poorly. It honestly makes my stomach turn. If someone makes it at home, sure, you might manage, but out in public? No way.😢

Personally, when I'm at a pub, I'll stick to a standard coffee with milk. I've pretty much given up on the instant stuff altogether.

Elizabeth Baker38 said:I just can't bring myself to love or accept Nescafé. For me, it's still just Turkish Coffee territory.😍

Interesting enough.
For what feels like a billion years, I lived on nothing but traditional stovetop coffee, and honestly, it was great. You know how it is—there’s *the* coffee, the kind that actually means something.😁
Then, I finally gave Nescafé a shot. It was love at first sip. 🙂

My only gripe is when they serve it in those cheap diners made with nothing but straight milk.👎

Turkey. Of course.
Nescafe isn't coffee. It's just the concept of coffee.

P. S. Just because my avatar was the Nescafe logo until recently doesn't mean I actually drink the stuff.

A closeted Nescafe addict, clearly...🙂

You can't replicate that sensation with some instant Nescafe or whatever else is sitting on the shelf. I remember one time my wife tried to switch me over to instant coffee, but (forgive me if this is too much information), the first thing I had to deal with at the office was , and let's just say things went south because of a situation in the restroom !🙈

Well, that's exactly what you want from a good cup of coffee.☕

Yeah, Andy and Grace Cook... the socar is Turkish Coffee. But which kind, though?😕

That’s basically an out-of-this-world choice. 🤔 😁

Let me clarify.
This whole poll is supposed to be about coffee and sugar.
But throwing in things like cappuccino, vanilla, ginger lattes, or espresso? Those are just alien coffee varieties at this point.

Why isn't that an option available here? 🙂

😬

What do you mean it's not there? We have that alien variety.🤷
That’s basically the one you're looking for.image

Honestly... I feel like I've been waiting an absolute eternity for that call.😳

shadowtrucker said:What exactly did I say that was so wrong? 🤷

Nothing much... I just want to hear from the veterans (not necessarily...) Just one defender...🙂It’s just... social. Or whatever you want to call it.🙂

And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to hear more comments like that.😳

Sure, I can see the appeal of an espresso, provided you have a decent machine at home to pull a shot.
Or maybe at a local cafe. Personally, I rarely bother ordering a Nescafé when I’m out; they almost always serve it far too weak and drown it in milk—even when I explicitly tell them how I want it. At a certain point, you just give up on the whole endeavor.🙄

Honestly, it reminds me of my time in Portugal, where it took me nearly four days of constant explaining just to get them to understand what a simple coffee with milk actually looks like. 🙄

Good grief, what a nightmare. 🤦

Honestly... I know people who go out of their way to convince me that Nescafé isn't "real" coffee. It’s always the same old argument about how you need a real espresso machine or a French press to be legitimate. Personally, I don't see the appeal in drinking coffee where you have to scrape the bottom of the sugar bowl just to get a decent sweetness level. 😕

So, look... I've been drinking instant coffee for years now. I really only touch Turkish coffee when I'm visiting someone who doesn't have any instant on hand, and honestly, I’m just in the mood for a good cup of Coffee.
To be clear, when I say instant, I'm not just talking about Nescafé—I mean any of those granulated varieties.

There’s just something about it; it feels fuller, more robust, and frankly, it hits the spot better in every way.
How about you all?

And for the instant coffee crowd... are you strictly milk drinkers, or do you go with water too?
Personally, I make mine with water and just a splash of milk.
I don't quite get the "just milk" crowd. I mean, if someone handed me a bowl of warm milk and some bread to dip in it, maybe—but otherwise, I wouldn't call that a cup of coffee.🤷

Instant vs. Turkish coffee... it’s the age-old debate, isn't it?image
