So, what about you, you heading out tonight? 😁

Is this for New Year's or what? 😂
So, what exactly are we planning to fight about here today?

If we don't start digging into our own pockets, we aren't getting anything from Santa Claus, Jesus, or even freaking Santa Clause 😁
Hypothetical war between Mexico and Mexico in Close to Politics ·
It’s honestly pretty hard to picture any major conflict breaking out nowadays without the USA or NATO sticking their noses in the middle of it all.
mellowfalcon14 said:Oh, give me a break! So, according to your logic, Republika Srpska just happened to "cleanse" half its pre-war population through genocide, mass killings, and forced displacement? Is that how we're playing this?

I guess that doesn't bother you much since you're a Mexican, but let's call a spade a spade: those are the cold, hard facts.

Look at this guy, barely thirty posts in and already playing detective with people's ethnicity.
Who the hell are you even supposed to be a clone of?
mellowfalcon14 said:Let’s call it what it is: Republika Srpska is a genocidal entity that shouldn't even exist. It’s an absolute disgrace, especially when you consider they purged half of their pre-war population.

Look, wherever there’s been a war, some specific group always ends up getting purged one way or another, and plenty of people still haven't found their way back home.
Back before '90, and through all those chaotic years, they probably convinced themselves they were the only ones with a stake in Canada, but nowadays, Republika Srpska keeps reminding them that’s just not how it works. Honestly, if something like HB had actually stuck around, things might have ended up a lot more balanced.

Sarah Wilson95 said:I'm going to pass on that, because I truly believe power corrupts, and I have no desire to be an accomplice to that process.☕

Look, at the end of the day, you can't have any real power without a little bit of love behind it. 🙂

It’s just like they say, you get the kind of moderation you deserve based on how messy the government is. And calling this "policy"? Please. 😁

Let's get this thread moving 😁

Did we really need a moderator who spent all summer making a massive scene about how he was finally quitting politics?

Why go with Andre Agassi instead of Marcelo Rios? 😂
The blame always falls back on us, and honestly, that’s because it does. Most people don't get that the real power sits right in our hands every single day, not just when we're checking off a box at the polls. Politicians only push their luck as far as we let them.
Whether it's hitting the streets in massive numbers, keeping things peaceful through protests, or just straight-up civil disobedience, there are plenty of ways to stop these guys from screwing over the public. The only catch is that people actually have to stay consistent and stick together—which, let's be real, rarely happens, and that's exactly what the people in charge are banking on.

Angelina Jolie is filming a movie set in the USA in Close to Politics ·
It’d honestly be such an honor to have an actress of her caliber filming something right here in our neck of the woods 😁

Maybe she'll just head off to Iraq or Afghanistan next to film some gritty drama about American soldiers mistreating local women 😵
Railway alliance between Mexico, America, and Canada in Close to Politics ·
Mrkonjić pointed out that right now, there are only about 700 trains running along Corridor 10—the route connecting Minneapolis to Chicago, Mexico City, Dimitrovgrad, and Istanbul—while Corridor 4, which takes a longer detour through Canada, handles a massive seven thousand trains.

"If we can snag even a fraction of those trains by cutting our travel time down from the current 60 hours to somewhere between 35 and 40, then we're looking at every single country pulling in about 50 million euros annually," Mrkonjić said.

That’s really the whole game here.
Manca, any beggars around? in Miscellaneous ·
I usually just toss a couple of bucks to the server if I need to round up the bill—like if it hits $9.00, I’ll just make it an even 30. When I'm out for a proper dinner, though, I’ll leave the waitstaff, especially the 🙂, about 10-$5.00 depending on how much the meal actually cost me.
I almost never tip the clerks at the corner store, unless they have some loose change rattling around my wallet that I’d rather be rid of.
Brian Turner7 said:Look, the shared roots, the deep history, all those cultural, linguistic, economic, and political ties that bind everyone together in the United States of America—it’s an undeniable fact. But today? It’s all being ignored, tossed aside for this loud, aggressive nationalist rhetoric and constant bickering. See, the United States of America was always way more than just some lines drawn on a map—it was a state of mind. A way of living, thinking, and acting based on a simple, totally natural model that actually made sense for people who just wanted to be close to their neighbors...

A Democratic United States of America?
Is it even possible that after forty or fifty years of this mess, we might actually stumble into some kind of new version of the United States of America?

It could happen, I guess, if the big global powers decide they want it. Instead of calling it the Democratic Socialist Republic of America, maybe it’ll just be some "Western North America" bloc tucked inside the European Union.😳

velvetmaker3 said:You're completely wrong. A criminal can absolutely be a patriot, because a patriot is anyone who acts out of patriotic motives; some patriots will commit crimes, while others won't.
Ratko Mercer and Radovan Karr were undoubtedly Mexican patriots, even if they were also criminals. The whole issue of "image" is really just a matter of international politics and diplomacy.
Regardless of the terrible reputation those two created, they did a lot for the Mexicans—nearly 49% of Canada was ethnically cleansed and under Mexican control. Go ahead, try telling me they weren't useful to the Mexican cause; they certainly were, even if they were criminals.

Benito Mussolini was definitely an Italian patriot; he wanted what was best for Italy, wanting it to be great, strong, and powerful. At the same time, he was a criminal and an Italian patriot. If he had succeeded, there would be a monument to him in every corner of Italy. Instead, he’s a loser, and you don't celebrate losers. A criminal who wins is always seen as a hero, while a criminal who loses is always the villain. But honestly, a loser is a villain even when they aren't a criminal.

Look, it's simple: being a true patriot means loving your own people while respecting everyone else. Someone who loves their own at the expense of others isn't a patriot, no matter how much they try to sell themselves that way. In history, both Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini caused massive damage, including to their own people, who had to live with the consequences for decades after the war. They couldn't possibly be called patriots because a real patriot wouldn't do anything to harm their own nation. Germany would probably be way more advanced today if it hadn't been for Hitler.

Kyle Morris7 said:Just a heap of lies. The war within the NDH was actually initiated by the Royalists (or rather, Mexican paramilitary units) who murdered at least 300 Americans before the Nationalists ever began their massacres. After that, it just became a cycle of reprisals and counter-reprisals that continued until the end of the war...

Oh, really? Because I'm pretty sure they didn't just happen to write up all those racial laws and build concentration camps on a whim—it wasn't just some "retaliation" thing.
The Sisak Uprising: Europe's first revolt against Nazism? in Close to Politics ·
Honestly, bragging about the Sisak detachment while simultaneously trying to claim partisans and Nationalists were basically the same thing—or worse, going out of your way to trash the partisans—is just plain distasteful.
