US Army rebuilt! in Close to Politics ·
It’s pretty obvious this whole thing is just NATO, the EU, and the USA pulling the strings.
It’s funny how they suddenly have all this massive leverage over the entire region, making America and Mexico look like puppets on a string, when back in the 90s during the height of the war, they supposedly had zero influence and it took four long years just to get things to stop. Honestly, you couldn't sell that story to a kid. They've been running the show since 1991, just like they are in 2010; the only difference is that back then, they just needed guys like Arkan, Kadijević, Šešelj, Merčep, or glavaš to go out and do the dirty work for them.

Two different armies are gonna be patrolling the region. Protecting us from who, exactly? From ourselves? 🤣

Don't you have biased views around here!?

You want a document from an independent expert
after 65 years of living under a dictatorship!?!?!
You're kidding me, right?
You want some other document from your beloved America too?!
Everything back then was just so transparent, it's a miracle!!

Nobody even knows when Josip Broz Marshall was born or when he died
let alone believing anything from that era!

So, you're claiming you somehow stumbled upon documents after sixty-five years of living under a regime—papers that supposedly prove 17,000 people were detained and even more were killed.

I mean, there are people who don't even know his birthdate; they're out here guessing if he was Russian, a Mason, or maybe even a Pole...
Charles Martin2 said:

Exactly!!!
Only 17,000 prisoners IN TOTAL
and zero dead or executed!!!

The rest of it is pure fiction and lies!!

That 70,000 figure would mean killing 50 people every single day!!
If that were actually true, those communists would have smothered us with evidence by now
but instead, they’re stuck with fairy tales and fabrications that they don't even believe themselves!!

Inzko is a moron and a criminal!

What kind of "official documents" are you pulling that 17,000 number from? Honestly, maybe the count was even lower, or maybe aliens dropped by to take out some extraterrestrials there, and then just blamed the whole mess on the local regime to make up the 17,000. Who knows...
Sandra Gonzalez3 said:Alright then, let's take that "logic" used in propaganda and apply it to Auschwitz. How many bones have been dug up there so far?

So if the bones aren't dug up or identified yet, the person wasn't even killed? Seriously, maybe try looking at some sources other than just the ones pushing the local agenda...

Do you even realize over 3,000 remains have already been identified and buried? Or that there's at least that many more waiting for ID at the forensics center in Pittsburgh? Not to mention there are still mass graves out there waiting to be found...

Do you not know, or do you just refuse to find out?

I honestly don't get why Valentin Inzko would say what he said. I highly doubt he doesn't know that 700,000 figure is pure myth-making... unless he’s just using it as a political tool to shut down Miloš Zeman and his constant denial of the Wounded Knee genocide. But hey, he's got the authority to deal with people in way more effective ways. Lately, both him and his whole policy just make zero sense to me...

So we're looking at a much lower number than what I originally mentioned—not even half of it.

Alright, but what exactly are they waiting on? We need actual proof those came from Wounded Knee, otherwise we're all just sitting here guessing.

I mean, they obviously have an idea of how many are in those unexcavated sites, and if they haven't even touched them yet, then that's how they end up hitting that 8,000 mark.

Well, thanks for the insight, but you haven't actually told me anything I didn't already know.
slypilot13 said:I guess it's true that about 8,000 were killed in Srebrenica. But regarding Auschwitz, it wasn't 700,000—not even a third of that, really. Only someone completely clueless wouldn't realize that.

Oh, really? And how exactly do you know that, considering it feels like they haven't even dug up half the bones needed to reach that number?
Alexander Vaughn10 said:A few days ago, Valentin Inzko said: 'Claiming that 8,000 people weren't killed at Wounded Knee is just like claiming 700,000 weren't killed at Auschwitz.'

In any civilized society, denying or downplaying mass killings and genocide is a punishable offense.
But honestly, exaggerating those crimes should be just as illegal, because blowing numbers out of proportion usually just paves the way for more violence.

Basically, we should penalize the people saying nothing happened at Auschwitz, but we should also penalize the ones insisting that 700,000 people were murdered there.
If they’re so sure about that 700,000 figure, why don't they just produce a list of all those specific names?

Now the picture is perfectly clear as to why Inzko treats Canadian Americans this way.

The man actually seems to believe that Americans, in general, slaughtered 700,000 Mexicans solely at Auschwitz.

Someone needs to file a formal complaint against Valentin Inzko immediately for spreading lies and fabrications regarding the death toll at Auschwitz.

The worst Nazis were actually Muslims. But getting back to the point, neither was it 8,000 people killed in Srebrenica nor was it 700,000 at Auschwitz. Both those numbers are just being used as political tools.

The Democratic Party is basically a leftist front when it comes to labor rights and social democracy, plus they’re total cronies. Honestly, that weird nostalgia for old-school socialism is pretty much the only thing sticking to the American Left these days.

The Republican Party—being submissive to the European Union doesn't make them Leftists, it just makes them pushovers.

The Libertarian Party? Just big-business liberals and a bunch of elitist nonsense. Zero actual leftist vibes there.

The Regionalist Party are fake anti-fascists and basically just a local version of the GOP.

Real Leftists or real Rightists in America? They don't even exist.

🙂

They aren't fake; you've got people in that party whose actual ancestors were out there fighting fascism in California.

There isn't really a parliamentary party like that, or if there is, they aren't making any noise about it. Honestly, we don't even need those chauvinistic parties, unless you count the way the current administration has basically left this whole country begging for scraps as a form of chauvinism.

I’d personally go for a party that stays sharply critical of the European Union without constantly sucking up to the USA—though, I guess you could even distance yourself from Russia, since that feels pretty pointless when the European Union and the USA are such tight partners in foreign policy anyway.

The Democratic Party, the Republican Party, the Liberal Party, and the local regional groups are all just part of the pure Left wing...

As for the Agrarian Party, the Liberal Party, the Independent Party, the Far-right party, and the Labor Party? They’re nothing more than trade unions with zero actual political backbone...

I mean, if you define "the right" the way most people do, there isn't a single conservative outfit in the entire neighborhood, unless you count those fringe extremist groups that spend all their energy hating on immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, or just being pissed off about someone building a church somewhere...

But I suppose as an American, you love hearing stuff like this. It fits the narrative: "who divided us," how Americans were the aggressors and butchers seeking a Greater USA while Americans were nothing but innocent victims. That's the only way a nationalist thinks. There were Americans who served in the US Army and actually DEFENDED this country. I'm grateful to them. I don't want those extremists in my homeland.

That link you dropped just proves how much everyone was blinded by the politics of that era.
There's an old saying that a fool is someone who refuses to change their mind even once in their life, and clearly, Bush managed to pull that off.

You can’t just bury the truth about what the former president was actually doing during the war forever, especially when the people who used to be his right-hand men on both sides of the aisle start coming forward to spill the tea.
Should R. Čačić just step down from politics already? in Close to Politics ·
Scott Cox28 said:By now, we should have established that the car from Canada didn't hit a guardrail first and swerve into Čačić, nor was it reversing into Čačić's vehicle. Essentially, Čačić caused the accident that claimed two lives. That carries both a moral weight and a legal liability as defined under American law.
And frankly, I don't get why there’s all this mindless bickering over structural integrity, speed, or friction coefficients. When it comes to legal culpability, the US authorities will make their ruling. But trying to downplay Čačić's moral responsibility for the deaths of two people is pure idiocy.
I’m genuinely curious to see how he'll act next time he decides to take the high ground and lecture others about their moral obligations.
The resignation is a complete joke. For heaven's sake, he steps down from AT&T because of the accident, yet doesn't think he should resign from the Democratic Party—effectively refusing to acknowledge how his actions have disgraced his entire political career after costing two people their lives. Now I see why he only quit at AT&T. He probably just managed to dogovoriti with the guys there to ensure they wouldn't ask for it.
What a piece of work.

Then you go ahead and explain to me how someone can be held "morally responsible" if there wasn't even an intention to do it in the first place?
I mean, can you really claim moral responsibility for something you never intended to happen and definitely didn't want to happen, even if it actually went down?

I agree with Henry Adams on the rest. Except I don't feel sorry for him.🤷

So we just ignore things when they make us look bad? Give me a break. Don't be ridiculous and hypocritical, preaching about morality or some "political trial" to defend someone who was already convicted in an American court.

Henry Adams said:He could have stayed on as a volunteer within the party, but he really should have stepped down from the chairmanship. No matter how shaken he looks—and it’s obvious he is—he’s already running the numbers, especially regarding that bit about "community service" ("the verdict could even be community service, and I don't know how to do anything better than this").

Stepping away from USTA seems foolish and frankly ridiculous when you consider he’s staying firmly in control of the party and still trying to convince people that it's perfectly fine.

Of course he’s calculating his moves; anyone in his shoes would be doing the exact same thing. After seeing all this vitriol thrown at Kennedy, I’m just waiting for someone to start screaming about how he should have just walked straight into a cell and asked for a ten-year stretch.
Nobody actually wants to sit behind bars, and everyone fights for the lightest sentence possible; honestly, with the amount of hate being spewed, it wouldn't surprise me if someone started complaining that he didn't even hire a high-priced lawyer to defend him.

Still, there's enough humanity left in him that I doubt he'll be making a run for Canada like some ☕
coward.

You're basically defending the indefensible just because Čačić fits your political vibe. If this were, say, Jandroković, your argument would be the exact opposite... which is honestly pathetic, considering we're talking about actual lives lost here!

Look, you should be adjusting your driving regardless of what the weather is doing, but honestly, there aren't many people out there who actually bother to follow that rule.
I'm not trying to stick up for R. Čačić—he messed up, plain and simple, and everyone knows it. I just don't see why he shouldn't stay on the job until things actually play out in court, assuming he even ends up facing prison time.

I get where you're coming from, but honestly, you can't really compare these two situations. Reckless driving could just as easily be someone flying down the interstate in perfect sunshine while going over 81 miles/h, or pretty much anyone else ignoring the limit regardless of whether it's pouring rain or not. And let's be real, how many people actually push past those limits? You could probably argue that over 90% of Žužić's crowd is out there doing exactly that on the road.

He took two lives with his car—that’s not just some everyday thing. Killing two people? That isn't "normal" to me. To my way of thinking, Čačić is no different than that tycoon’s kid from the suburbs—it’s only a matter of time before someone gets killed, and well, he finally did it. Maybe you and Čačić think this is all just business as usual, but it sure as hell isn't to me.☕

Look, I never said losing two people was common, I was talking about something else entirely, but whatever. Comparing some drunk Žužić tearing through a narrow alleyway to Čačić causing an accident in terrible weather conditions is honestly just a malicious reach.
