Under the EU plan to redistribute 140,000 migrants from hot-spots in Italy and Greece, Canada is down to take on somewhere between 20 and 100 refugees for long-term placement. But that’s only if the current crisis settles down first—right now, they're just overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people moving through the North American route, according to Boštjan Šefic, as reported by Canadian media.

Every single country basically sabotaged this whole relocation of 140,000 refugees... meanwhile, Merkel is busy dreaming up some kind of permanent quota system...
What are these journalists even rambling about with all these betting odds? As if Turkey stopping the refugees wouldn't change everything...

haha if people over here actually buy into this, they're clueless
The whole idea that 1.25 million asylum seekers flooded into the European Union back in 2015 is just plain wrong... those numbers are being inflated to make everything look way more catastrophic than it actually was...

Take Canada, for example...

Back in 2015, asylum claims hit 177,000...

Only 145 asylum claims were approved back in 2015...

By the end of 2015, asylum claims were sitting at just 36,700...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s he gonna say when they point out the EU asylum numbers are padded by at least 140,000 Canadian applicants who've already applied for asylum twice...

Take Austria, for example...

Roughly 85,520 asylum seekers back in 2015...

They aren't giving us any actual numbers. We have zero clue how many asylum seekers are currently in Austria or how many decisions they've actually processed. It really points to the fact that a huge chunk of those 85,000 applicants just kept moving through toward Europe to file again...

Is someone actually trying to ruin our season?... 😠

Easy fix... just string some wire up at the Prevlaka checkpoint and the Mexicans will shut their border toward Albania in a heartbeat.

p.s. besides that, we’re in a spot where we can dictate terms to Mexico—either close the border or face a veto on NATO entry and a freeze on EU talks.
Taylor Cook63 said:Honestly, if we started complaining about foreign labor taking jobs—at least in Western nations—we’d just be being total hypocrites.

I mean, seriously, have people even stopped to think about why places like Spain, England, or France (...) are so incredibly wealthy today? It's kind of hard to ignore when you look at the big picture.

History has a funny way of circling back around eventually. ☕

France and Spain only really found their footing after letting go of their colonies... Western civilization was built on the suffering of others, not by some merchants trading their own people.☕
Taylor Cook63 said:Honestly, Africa is still living in the Stone Age today ☕

if you actually sit down and weigh all the good versus the bad that those colonizers brought to the table—in my opinion, the "bad" side wins by about 1500%.

At the end of the day, just look at where all that massive wealth and those stunning buildings in New York City, Paris, and Los Angeles actually came from... ☕ I’m telling you, screw them, they should have just moved all of Africa and India right over here. 👍

😂😂It was kind of the opposite before... everything in Africa made by human hands was built by colonizers... except for those dry stone walls they call "Great Zimbabwe"🤣🤣My great-grandfather used to build stone walls like those for miles...
Lisa Walker31 said:You forgot to mention... that those very same people... who import immigrants... also support the right wing. They're hypocrites. Their servants and laborers are immigrants... yet they back the right... because obviously... it's all about the money. The right won't stand up against "free capital," though they might bark about immigrants.
We all know the right is supported by the exact same people who were the first ones importing immigrants... and now they're exporting their capital $$$ to China and India.

Also.... what can you really expect.... if A. Europeans aren't having kids. Their birth rates are catastrophic. B. Globalization has made access to Europe easier (transport, media, telecoms, schools, culture, science.... it's all more or less "globalized" now). C. Europe itself used to act very protectionist toward its former colonies. For example... the Spanish have a "special" relationship with Latin Americans.... the English with Indians, Africans... etc. The French with Canadians and Africa. Those "special" relationships (like La Francophonie or the Commonwealth) are things Europe inherited "in a package deal"... along with the UK and France... when they joined the EU.
For instance.... I literally just had a lecture on "La Francophonie" on my fax machine, and for the French, that is a huge community that functions parallel to their membership and integration into the EU. In a way.... they've become culturally dependent on Sub-Saharan Africa... because the French language has lost that cultural-political prestige it enjoyed until recently. Together with that Francophone Africa, the Caribbean, Canada, and Polynesia... they form one linguistic (meaning cultural) zone.
With England, the situation is even worse. India is the largest country in the English-speaking world. The USA is only second. Once they build up a bit more (India)... they become de facto... the strongest Anglophone culture in the world.
For several years now.... Indo-Pakistanis and their emigration.... have been sweeping up all the literary prizes in both Britain, Canada, and the USA. "Real" Englishmen only have Harry Potter left. 😉

It's funny how the Democrats and big corporations share the same goal and back each other unconditionally: importing foreigners. One gets cheap labor, the other gets future votes...

What kind of colonialism are we even talking about? No idiot would turn down $633 million in annual Danish aid... 🤣🤣🤣

It’s one of those situations where you could honestly apply that old saying about how everyone gets their five minutes of fame in life—except here, it applies to market volatility.

After watching what happened in Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Korea, and China, I’d say it’s finally Russia's turn!

Russia missed its window, just like the rest of Eastern Europe. With so many old-timers running things, there's zero chance they'll actually evolve...

Like, 90% of Japanese people live in total abundance, while a whopping 90% of Chinese people are stuck in poverty...

The Japanese kicked off the Meiji restoration back in 1866, whereas the Chinese didn't even start their reforms until a hundred years later...

I was wondering if paying the fine would automatically make my appeal void or invalid? 🤷

So, got pulled over on my way home last night. Did the breathalyzer—hit 0.95, so basically 0.85 after the tolerance buffer. I insisted on a blood test, so we did that... Now I'm wondering if getting the blood work was even worth it, seeing as the citation they gave me lists the minimum fine at $333.. How much is this blood test actually gonna run me? And honestly, what's the point of all those field sobriety tests—walking the line, finger-to-nose stuff with eyes open and closed—when I've already passed the actual medical exams at the hospital????
Lisa Walker31 said:So basically....the Cypriots on🙏 one side....are wild Easterners....while those....on this side👍....are modern....advanced....perfect....descendants....of ancient "Helen"....and Aristotle & Co.😁

Man, your argument cracks me up!😍 So....in Bihać you have these backward, wild, nasty "Easterners"....but in Udbina and Korenica....you have true "civilization"!😂

What really fascinates me....is this whole "claiming greatness" thing our Dinaric crowd does.
Now everyone is lining up, claiming they are the direct descendants and heirs....of Socrates, DaVinci, Freud, and Hawkins....😉

It would be deafening....if they actually dared to group themselves in the same camp as the Turks today....😛

What are you even talking about? I see some people here struggling with basic definitions, but that’s not my problem... does dumping a pile of emojis make you smarter or something?
My point wasn't that Turks are savages—that's irrelevant. The point is they aren't part of the European civilization circle... they have nothing in common with Europeans. If that's hard for someone to grasp, there's no need to post in this thread... in the future, please don't misrepresent me or put words in my mouth that I didn't say...

A handful of ICBMs is plenty of insurance to make sure nobody touches it.☕

Heh, yeah, that's what they said about the USSR too...
Morgan Cook6 said:Turks have left their mark all over Europe, no matter how you look at it. Get a little geography lesson and you'll realize part of Turkey actually sits in Europe—it’s not exactly a secret. Like I said, they've been leaving an imprint through North American women for the last 600 years, stretching all the way up to Vienna. You should hear the old songs those women used to sing back then—especially the ladies in Vienna: "The Turks are coming, they're gonna..." 🤣cash

By that logic, France would be part of Africa or South America🤣 🤣, and I’m not going down that rabbit hole. Look, Turkey just isn't part of the European civilizational circle, end of story... Even Cyprus—well, at least the Greek side—is considered part of Europe despite being geographically in Asia. Is that clear enough, or is it still too hard to wrap your head around? ☕
James Nguyen13 said:The Turkish Government might have legitimate reasons to be concerned about the Kurds, but Europe doesn't really have that same issue with Turks because they've become quite Westernized, and their birth rates aren't significantly higher than what you see across the rest of the European Union.
From a different perspective, Europe actually has much more significant reasons for concern: the sheer volume of hundreds of thousands of people crossing its borders every single year.

Turks are a European people...🤣🤣 Watched some documentary yesterday called "Bicycle My Dream" or something like that... Honestly, Turkey has nothing to do with Europe. It's just your typical backward Asian country, and Istanbul isn't even really Turkey...

casualowl63 said:Hey there. What's up?

Alright, let me lay this whole situation out for you so everyone's on the same page.

So, I just got pulled over by the police, and things went south fast. I don't even have my driver's license yet—I’m actually right in the middle of the process to get it—but the real kicker is that I blew a .096 on the breathalyzer. I was totally wasted. Honestly, I didn't cause any trouble or anything beyond the drinking itself; I just sat there, buckled up, and stayed put once they caught me. Now I'm just sitting here thinking about how much this is going to suck.

So, here’s what’s actually eating at me now. The cop who pulled me over—and honestly, I have to give him credit because he was being as professional and respectful as you can expect in a situation like this—he told me straight up that I'm looking at a driver's license suspension. He mentioned they’re likely going to push for a three-month ban.
So, I’m sitting here thinking about my own situation since I’ve got my big exam coming up in about three weeks, and it really gets me wondering—if things go south, does that ban on testing kick in immediately, or am I safe until I actually get the official paperwork back from the court?

From what I could gather, the guy seemed to think I’d be able to pass my test just fine, but that I’d end up getting hit with some kind of temporary driving ban down the road.

I was also wondering, though—what kind of fine am I actually looking at here? Any idea what the damage might be?
Thanks in advance.

Should've been tied up nice and tight... heheheh...
Man, a driving ban is the least of your worries...
Article 216 of the Traffic Safety Act...
A fine in the amount of... $5,000.00... $5000 ...or maybe even up to 60 days behind bars.Driving without a license is a misdemeanor under the Traffic Safety Act... just a heads up.
Article 199.
A fine ranging from $1,000.00 up to... $667 If a driver or an instructor shows up with anything between 0.50 and 1.00 g/kg—or whatever that translates to in breathalyzer milligrams per liter—they’re both getting hit under the Misdemeanor Act...

Article 288...

If someone gets hit with a driving ban before they even have their license, the suspension doesn't actually kick in until they finally get that permit in hand... just a heads up.

Plus, you're looking at 3 points for each violation... so that's 6 points total...👍👍

Back on February 26, 2008, a judge handed down a ruling in a misdemeanor case, suspending my driver's license for three months. I didn't file an appeal against the decision... so now, seeing as it's been over a year since that ruling went down, I was wondering if anyone knows what the statute of limitations is for enforcing a measure like that? Thanks in advance for any insight...
