Haha. Gigabytes are for data usage. For texting? You pay in dollars. You don't even need an active data plan just to send a message. Get what I'm saying?

Look, Joseph Bailey41 just needs some time to pull herself together before she can even think about posting. Once she gets through this, she'll show up.

Rebecca Rivera3 said:How am I holding up through all of this? To be honest, after receiving my diagnosis and everything I've been through... I’ve never felt worse. Most of the time I’m struggling, even if it doesn't show on the surface because I’ve learned to value life and every single moment more deeply. I don't get worked up as easily; in fact, I rarely lose my temper now. I've started cutting people out—well, I already have—specifically those who negatively impact my mental health. Some people even walked away from me once they found out I was sick.

I have to admit, I often struggle with sleep because of the anxiety. I lack a solid support system and true understanding. I’m seeing a therapist, but I haven't been able to establish a deep enough emotional connection to really help me move forward.

Honestly, I don't even know what to tell you all; this is hell. Navigating this entire process has been physically exhausting, and the mental toll is beyond words. This will leave lasting scars on my heart. They might heal slightly over time, but the marks will remain, and I will never be the same person again.

Oh man, 🙂. Hang in there, things have to get better. Maybe you just need to wait for your medication to kick in so you can find a way to live with this illness more easily. Just shut out anyone who irritates you or fails to support you. Those people are just dead weight. Run the other way.

Rebecca Rivera3 said:At first, I honestly thought this was all in my head. I felt exhausted, my walking felt heavy, and I had these strange mental lapses—almost like paralysis. It felt like everything was happening without any external trigger; nothing in my daily life was intense enough to throw me off balance like that. One minute I’d be walking fine, and the next, my brain would just shut down or I'd black out. Because I couldn't find an outside cause, I ended up seeking help through psychiatric care.

Then things took a turn for the worse. I collapsed and ended up in neurology, where they ran an exhaustive battery of tests—MRIs, spinal taps, EMGs, EEGs, you name it. That’s when they finally gave me the MS diagnosis.

I never once suspected I was dealing with MS or anything like it. To be honest, it was a total shock, and frankly, it still hits me hard every single day. On top of everything, the steroids I'm taking to manage it have started damaging my liver, and I'm also dealing with vision issues from neuritis.

I am so incredibly sorry. It's just devastating how the nervous system can turn on you like that. I've been doing some reading online just to try and wrap my head around the mechanics of it all. How are you holding up right now? Are you hanging in there?

Joseph Bailey41 said:Probably about twenty pounds, I think. 🤔

Just enough to clear out my extra stock. 🤣🤣🤣

Haha! Seriously though, how much do you actually weigh? Maybe I should take a page out of your book. 😁 Listen, Joseph Bailey41, we really need to get you turned into some kind of local legend. You've gotta cut back on the stuff that's weighing you down. Chocolate, donuts, jam... all that junk. Mind you, I grabbed a little bit of jam myself yesterday, but just a tiny bit! Where did those ten pounds even come from? How long has this been happening?

As for that Saleto clone, I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole. What a joke, seriously. 🙄

How many peppers did you end up using?

And what defines "hot" anyway? You talking about the whole package—sexy vibes, great legs, curves in all the right places? To me, she’s got that spark.

Now, personally, I don't think she's skinny. She mentioned being about 20 pounds over her goal weight, so... who cares? She's got a body. That's my take, anyway. I'm not a huge fan of the short hair look, though. It just doesn't do it for me. But honestly? I'd overlook just about anything if the chemistry was there. If she's charming and we click, that's what matters.

Look, Joseph Bailey41 isn't exactly "sexy" when she's typing away on this forum. She needs to be sexy in person. When she's out at a bar, that's when you see it.

Rebecca Rivera3 said:Listen, I have an interesting story to share with you all. I was being treated for schizophrenia, which led to me being prescribed Haldol and Seroquel, along with a long list of other medications and several hospitalizations.

In the end, it turns out I actually have Multiple Sclerosis. I don't have schizophrenia or any mental illness; I have lesions on my brain. That's just how things work in the States—they'll tell you something is normal when it's clearly not.

Oh man. I am so incredibly sorry you went through that, Rebecca Rivera3. You are perfectly sane. 😁 Honestly, we're all pretty much sane 😛. I mean, where did they even get that diagnosis from? It's like they take your specific symptoms, misinterpret them, and then judge your entire psyche based on just outward behavior. They slap a "schizophrenia" label on you, when really, you've got physical lesions. It's a total disaster. I swear, our healthcare system is broken. Who knows what kind of misdiagnosis I might be walking around with right now?

How are things on your end?

I'm alright, though work is kicking my butt lately. Nothing is going exactly as planned, but then again, why would it? That’s just how it goes. Still, we Americans are resilient. I can't rush things right now, but things have to get better and move faster eventually😁. I need to figure a few things out first. Adaptation is coming.

What do you mean "hitting"? What are you even talking about?
I was just talking about the music—arguing about what kind of garbage they play in bars these days.
Besides, if people have such a problem with country music, maybe they should go check out some metal or hard rock scenes where, besides the booze, there's usually drugs involved too... it's pretty much common knowledge.

And I guess everyone on Navy ships is just pure perfection? Like, nobody there ever touches anything? Pure saints, right.
mistydrifter55 said:Morning. Well, obviously, if you stuff yourself with bananas for Vitamin B and walnuts for those healthy fats, your brain starts firing on all cylinders and you feel great.

Look, I'll give you the same advice: eat plenty of fresh fruit and veggies, live a clean lifestyle, ditch the stress, get enough sleep, breathe some fresh air, and you'll feel like a whole new person. 😉🤣

Look, I hear what you're saying, but that's just how the world works these days. There are scammers and charlatans everywhere on this planet, and we aren't any exception. Personally, I would never fall for that kind of stuff. I once knew someone—close to me, let's call him "a guy"—who actually went out to become a life coach. He was supposedly helping people, but he never actually fixed his own old habits, specifically his compulsion to lie. Honestly, he was a total addict when it came to lying; I don't know how else to put it. So now, here he is, trying to help others. He took all the courses, got the certifications, and everything... but wait a second. How can you possibly help anyone else if you haven't even sorted yourself out? The man is a pathological liar. He lies about everything, and because you don't see through it, he spins a story and you end up falling for it. Since I know who he really is, I'd never go to him for help. But most people have no idea what's lurking behind a person's facade. That goes for all these "coaches." As for the whole banana and walnut thing, anyone can look that up themselves or talk to a nutritionist, and they'll explain it perfectly. Sure, we can find almost everything online nowadays, but there's nothing wrong with asking someone with actual experience.
Now, let’s be real, this is all just a big joke. I wasn't actually at any Taylor Swift concert or seminar. All I can say is that there are way too many "life coaches" out there peddling advice when they haven't even sorted out their own messy lives. You see the same thing with therapists, too. It’s impossible to truly help someone else if you’re still a wreck yourself. Honestly? In my book, it’s mostly just a massive money grab. Personally, I’d much rather dive into meditation—actually sit down with someone who knows how to do it and learn how to get real results, because I genuinely believe that works. Like mistydrifter55 mentioned, it’s just the latest trend. Everyone wants to be a coach nowadays, acting like they’re some kind of guru helping people find themselves...
I don't know about you all, but Taylor Swift has been a total game-changer for me. She actually told me that if I just start eating bananas and walnuts, my whole life is going to take off. So, here I am today, polishing off my third banana, and honestly? I can already feel things shifting. It’s all thanks to Taylor Swift and those other cult-like life coaches out there.
Mental vs. physical pain in Psychology & Therapy ·
Harold Anderson3 said:I’ve come to this realization that when we’re dealing with both physical and mental health struggles at once, the physical pain seems to take center stage. It’s almost as if the body hijacks the brain; for instance, if you’re struggling with depression and then come down with a nasty case of the flu, that heavy depressive fog just sort of vanishes, leaving you to deal solely with the physical symptoms. At least, that’s how it works for me. I’ve been managing a mental health condition for about ten years now, though the early warning signs started creeping in back when I was in high school. That’s exactly what happened during those years. I was really struggling with intrusive thoughts—what most people call OCD—and depression, but when I caught a really severe cold, all those mental symptoms just seemed to evaporate. Of course, as soon as I recovered from the illness, everything came rushing back.
That being said, knowing this doesn't exactly make life easier, because it implies we’re stuck in this loop where we're constantly suffering from something, whether it’s our bodies or our minds.
None of us actually want to be in total agony, whether that pain is felt in our flesh or in our souls.
There are stretches of time where I feel completely healthy and genuinely okay (like right now), but more often than not, things aren't quite so bright. I just wanted to point out that strange phenomenon where feeling physically ill actually brings a sense of mental relief. Does anyone else experience this kind of weird trade-off, or is it just my own strange way of functioning?

I have the exact same experience. In fact, I suspect the medication I'm on—and probably most meds, too—actually messes with my body temperature. I remember starting them because I felt overheated even when it was freezing outside, so it's definitely possible. Even now, while everyone around me is shivering in the winter chill, I don't really feel it as much. It feels like they regulate my temperature. Why that happens? I have no clue. It's the same thing with the flu. When I run a fever, it almost feels like a relief.
