That’s fine, whatever. I wasn't being literal... even with my semi, I have to take the left lane to make a turn, but I adjust a few hundred yards ahead of time.
Mostly I'm thinking about that stretch near the Walmart heading toward the beltway, and vice versa... no traffic lights there, just people cruising at 50 mph in the left lane while everyone else swerves around them on the right.

For instance, when I was visiting Vienna, people actually used the escalators correctly—standing on the right so those in a rush could pass on the left. Look, the insurance company is just offering what’s acceptable for both sides. Do you realize that if they actually replaced the panel—meaning they'd have to rip the entire rear end apart and pull the old sheet metal out through the floor just to weld a new one onto yours—it would be a nightmare? First off, it’s expensive, it’s overkill, and frankly, it’ll kill your resale value later...
The body shop just straightens the metal, applies some filler, and calls it a day. A buddy of mine bought a brand-new Chevy Malibu just six months ago and had a similar hit; the dealership handled it the exact same way—just dent repair and filler. What a joke.
Honestly, stay away from loans here in the States with interest rates this high. It’s better to just set that money aside every month into a high-yield savings account at Chase or something similar. In two years, you'll have saved up enough to buy a car outright, then you just keep saving what you can, sell the old one in a few years, and upgrade again...

Basically, if their current policy has a 50% discount, the second car gets half that—25%. If they have 30%, the second one gets 15%...
Now, I'm not sure if the accident database ever expires because insurance companies have too much skin in the game. I know you lose your good driver discount if you don't renew for three years, but I'm not certain about the surcharges since those live in a separate claims database.
If that surcharge doesn't expire, it just follows you forever until you're rid of it...
