Looks like Reddit might be acting up again. I still haven't received my verification email after updating my address.
Online news vs. print: which do you prefer? in Miscellaneous ·
I never really bother with reading things online. I much prefer the old-school way... sitting down with a fresh cup of coffee in the morning...👍

Painful urination in Health ·
Come on, there’s no way this is a symptom of anything else. I haven't even had sex in my life, so what are you guys even talking about? It's probably just a lingering cold, except it's sticking around way longer than usual this time!
Painful urination in Health ·
Hey everyone! I’ve been dealing with something for about two and a half weeks now and I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I stumbled upon this forum through Google!
So, here's the deal: I was reading some posts here and saw that another girl mentioned having pain while peeing too... Does anyone know if there are any over-the-counter pills or anything else for painful urination and that constant urge to go? I need something I can just pick up at a drugstore without a prescription. I'm honestly a little worried it might be my kidneys since this has been dragging on for a while, especially since I've been feeling under the weather with a cold during this whole time!
Please, if anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. This is getting impossible to deal with. Thanks in advance!
Where can I find a Converse store or somewhere near Seattle that carries more than two different styles of sneakers?
I’m running into the exact same issue, so if anyone has any insight...

Aside from my heart rate being way higher than my diastolic pressure (how is that even possible?), my readings are all over the place. One minute the systolic is spiking, then the diastolic jumps, then suddenly my pulse just shoots up. I can't get these numbers to stabilize for anything! WTF?
That stuff is basically just a sedative, or whatever else they pack in there along with Persian. Honestly, if you ask me 🙂 It’s either normal or Praxiteles, otherwise what's even the point? 🙂

Why haven't you lost the weight yet? in Health ·
Totally. I’m with you on that—at the end of the day, everything in life really just comes down to the choices we make. Anyway,
Why haven't you lost the weight yet? in Health ·
I have to be honest, I’ve found myself surrounded by a lot of negativity lately (including some people who really need to watch their weight), and it’s been holding me back. It’s constant—people making comments about "being worried about my health" or asking me every single day, "So, how much weight have you lost?" Most people around me are just deeply unhappy with themselves (not me), and they project that onto everyone else. I couldn't care less about how miserable other people feel about their own lives, but somehow, that energy bleeds over to me. Personally, I’m grateful. I’ve got two arms, two legs, I'm healthy, and if I feel like hiking up Mount Rainier, I can. I have everything any regular person has; I’m not out there scavenging through trash cans for recyclables. What more could I possibly need? But apparently, being miserable and constantly complaining is "in" right now, and even I find myself slipping into that cycle of whining sometimes. Well, I'm done with that. I’ve decided to stop letting them bring me down and just stick to being positive. If they can't handle someone actually being upbeat, they can just get lost 🙂🙂

Anyway, have you guys ever stopped to think about why you haven't hit your weight loss goals? Like, how much do you actually dislike yourself or sabotage your own progress? Because I've realized I am a total master at self-sabotage, and now my main mission is to finally figure out why!
Why haven't you lost the weight yet? in Health ·
Have you ever stopped to wonder why the weight just won't come off, no matter how hard you try? I bet you’ve attempted a dozen different plans already...

Here is a little perspective on that...

Why is sticking to a diet such a struggle?
What exactly stands in the way of your weight loss goals? Julia Griggs Havey from Walmart dives into the psychology behind it.
So many of us wonder why losing weight feels like an uphill battle. We kick off a new regimen with the absolute best intentions, fully committed to seeing it through. But Once Upon a Time, when those initial bursts of motivation fizzle out, it's easy to spiral into a cycle of negativity and defeat.
That's when self-criticism and low self-worth creep in. People start to feel like they’re just "destined" to be overweight and somehow convinced they don't deserve a healthier, happier life.
In my opinion, that is the real reason diets fail! It comes down to self-loathing. When you're stuck in that mindset, there is zero room for self-love. Looking back at my own years struggling with obesity, I can tell you honestly: I hated myself. I hated the person I had become, and I felt completely powerless to change it.
Did I magically transform overnight into someone capable of dropping 140 pounds? Not exactly. What happened was a total shift in perspective. I had a sudden epiphany: I wasn't "fat"—my body was just carrying extra weight. I took a moment to look at who I actually am beneath the surface: someone funny, smart, resourceful, creative, kind, loyal, and sincere.
It felt like a massive weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I realized I wasn't my weight! Sure, my body might have weighed 280 pounds, but that didn't define me. I was all those other wonderful qualities. By shifting my focus toward my character rather than my body fat, I was finally able to reclaim my self-esteem and learn to love myself again.
The truth is, once we learn to embrace ourselves—regardless of our current size—we finally create the space to achieve the results we want. You have to believe you are worthy of the effort. That belief is what empowers you; it allows you to trust yourself again (or perhaps for the very first time)!
But how do you actually build that kind of confidence? For a lot of people, finding self-love is the hardest part of the journey.

I saw this one ages ago, but honestly, I’d go back for seconds! 🙏

To be totally blunt, my first thought was that I’d just be wasting my time sitting through it,
but it turned out to be way more than just "good"—it was actually incredible. 🙏
I’m a huge sucker for thrillers and horror movies; I usually get so sucked into the plot that I’ve basically solved the mystery before the credits even roll. 😬
But I have to admit, this time? You totally caught me off guard. 🙏

Definitely give it a watch! 👍
Iron supplements in Health ·
This could actually be an early warning sign of gastrointestinal issues, like an ulcer or even a bleeding polyp. Are you dealing with any digestive changes lately? Anything involving shifts in intensity, hardness, or pain? If you are, combined with low iron levels, you really shouldn't ignore it—it could be serious. Of course, it doesn't have to be anything bad, but it is definitely worth getting checked out!
Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
Is it actually possible for hemorrhoids to cause your bowel movements to:
- become more frequent and softer
- lead to unpleasant, sour breath

Or am I looking at symptoms of something else entirely?
Carol Parker said:For years now, every single morning
as soon as I get up and hit the bathroom, I drink about a cup of lukewarm water with some fresh lemon juice on an empty stomach.
I do it because my digestion can be a bit sluggish, and this really gets things moving.
Let's be real though—I don't think you lost weight just by drinking water.

And I'm totally on board with what James Rogers53 is saying.👍

Does it actually help with digestion?
Do you add any sweetener?
Maria Chavez55 said:In the diet I'm following right now—it's a meal plan designed by this famous doctor—he actually recommends drinking a glass of water first thing every morning and making sure to get at least two liters of fluids in throughout the day.

Are they just jerks, though?😁

Look, I’m not trying to be critical here. It just doesn't sit right with me. I’ve always been pretty sensitive when it comes to animal cruelty and stuff like that. 🤷
