goldenotter3 said:Just to be clear—the cream is actually CLASIFEL by Steifel, and it’s got 4% hydroquinone, not 3% like I mistakenly said earlier. Honestly, this stuff is a lifesaver—those nasty, dark brown😲 patches all over my face and cheeks have basically vanished. It hasn't been particularly sunny lately, so I haven't been using it—mostly trying to make the tube last longer, but also curious to see if the spots would stage a comeback. So far, so good—they haven't reappeared, even though I haven't touched the cream in about two weeks. You should give it a shot; it really is top-tier stuff. Good luck.🙂

Does anyone know where I can actually get my hands on this cream??? Please let me know, thanks in advance!

I am just absolutely devastated. I'm having a terrible day today—I feel so miserable and I can't stop crying. On top of everything with my mom, things with my boyfriend are falling apart too; we're going through such awful stuff right now. I honestly can't believe I made such a huge mistake with him.🙂 Out of everyone who has turned their back on me, even my own father, he was the one person standing by my side, and now it feels like I was wrong about him, too.

Ivanica, I am with you with all my heart 😳 ..I know this isn't really what this forum is for, but in times like these, someone needs to be there for you. Sending you love.
hang in there 😘
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
My dad has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia (I think it's F20), and honestly... living with him is an absolute nightmare. To make matters worse, my mom is currently in the middle of getting a divorce. His episodes are wild—he’ll just wander off to join some cult, like the Hare Krishnas, and disappear for a month at a time. He won't say where he's going or when he'll be back; he just vanishes. On top of all that, I'm a student and I need about $667 a month just to cover my expenses, which is basically what my mom makes in her paycheck,
but his disability benefits are capped at $1000 max. And I really need to emphasize that since they're splitting up, we aren't going to have any joint income to fall back on. So, if anyone here has a family member struggling with schizophrenia and thinks they've got it rough, let me be your cautionary tale..
That feeling of falling in your sleep? in Psychology ·
Jeffrey Castillo77 said:It’s something I experience quite frequently, mostly during those hazy moments right at the onset of sleep, just before I’ve fully drifted off into unconsciousness...

Sometimes it feels like I'm dreaming that I'm walking and suddenly lose my footing, which triggers this sudden, jarring twitch, or perhaps it's just a random muscle spasm without any dream involved at all...

Same here... most of the time it feels like I've stumbled into something, and then my whole body just jolts. 🙂

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. My aunt has been at the hospital for radiation since the 15th. While she was staying at home, she actually recovered quite well and managed to build up enough strength for this upcoming radiotherapy session. As of today, she isn't having any major issues, though she is sleeping a lot—but honestly, with this heatwave, I can't really blame her! Thankfully, thank God, her hair hasn't started falling out yet...
Sending big hugs and kisses to everyone!
Blister on my heel in Health ·
They aren't some cheap, flimsy rubber crap either... I think I actually walked all over that spot near where the local Starbucks is located 😳

Look, I’ll just pick some up and give them a shot... It wouldn't even be a big deal if I didn't have to walk much, but it's actually the exact opposite 😠

Thanks, everyone 😘
Blister on my heel in Health ·
So, I’ve run into a bit of a situation... I picked up a pair of new flip-flops about three weeks ago, and everything was going great until about a week ago.

It turns out I have this weird walking habit where my feet tilt outward just a tiny bit, and apparently, I’ve been stepping right on the straps. At first, they were just slightly annoying, so I didn't think much of it—especially since I end up walking in them for over an hour every day. But when I got home last night, the pain was absolutely brutal. When I finally checked, I saw two massive blisters, one on each foot.

So... here's my question... am I allowed to pop these? What should I even do about this?
I guess I'm officially sentenced to wearing comfy sneakers for a while.

Here are some photos so you can see exactly what I'm dealing with.

OCD: General Discussion Thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
I’ve been living with OCD for years, and for the longest time, I honestly thought I was the only one dealing with this kind of thing. For me, it manifests as skin picking—constantly picking at nonexistent blemishes all over my body—which has left my skin in really rough shape. I recently picked up two books from the States that explain how skin picking actually falls under the same umbrella as nail biting, hair pulling, checking compulsions, excessive hand washing, and even Tourette syndrome. It’s such a relief to finally understand what’s happening and realize that I’m NOT a bad person for struggling with this. So many people with these disorders carry so much guilt, thinking they just have a weak character or feeling too ashamed to speak up, which only makes everything so much harder because they feel completely alone.

I’ve started looking for professional help, but it feels like there isn't a psychiatrist in the US who truly specializes in this specific area. My main issue is that I'm really hesitant about starting medication, and I'm having a hard time finding a specialist who focuses on behavioral therapy. Does anyone know a provider who actually deals with this?

Christian Lee13 said:Exactly, most really talented people just don't get the chance to actually hone their craft.

That is just not true!!! I know firsthand. I’m actually really talented; back in fifth grade, I was already playing Paganini's 24th Caprice. And honestly, talented people practice a ton. Don't get me wrong, I hate practicing scales and all that technical stuff—it's boring. Nobody actually *wants* to do that. But those talented people who skip out on the work? They're the exception, not the rule. It's like they say: talent is only 1% of the equation; everything else is just pure grit and practice (and no, you don't have to grind from dawn till dusk)

I picked my handle about four years ago totally on a whim, and now I realize there are actually a few other people using variations of it.
What should I do?
Would it count if I invented a brand new word that still uses that same root?😁

It counts... just write out what you're thinking and they'll tell you if it's okay or not.

Psoriasis [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
I’ve been battling psoriasis for five years now—it’s hit my hands, my fingernails, and my feet. I feel like I’ve tried just about everything under the sun: Noni juice, aloe vera, St. John's Wort oil, Dermovat cream, Daivonex, Daivobet, Elocon, Neotigason pills, and right now, I'm trying Methotrexate tablets. This psoriasis has a life of its own; it constantly peels and flares up. It drives you absolutely crazy, though eventually, you just learn to live with the chaos. Does a real cure actually exist?
Maybe some medications work for others, but I haven't found anything that truly does the trick for me yet.
This is my first time posting here, and honestly, I’m just glad I stumbled upon this blog. It helps knowing I’m not alone in dealing with all this (sorry for the language, but you know what I mean).
My quality of life isn't what it used to be before this started, but there's nothing to be done but keep fighting. That's Life.👍

The only thing you can really ask for is some minor tweaks to the handle...

For example, Susan Roberts could try something like susanroberts, SusanR, or just Susan.
