casualotter21 said:Or take how, right before the credits roll on Spice, they list "Deleted Scenes" (funny how they finally remembered those folks), and it’s literally just stuff like "Background Extra."

Hahaha, or sometimes they list minor characters based on the one line they actually spoke. Like, if I remember right, Weird Al shows up as some robber at the police station and he's credited as "Say your prayer," because that's basically his entire existence in the movie. 😁

Someone was asking about Leslie Nielsen's age. I think he's 72 now, so if you subtract 6, 10, or 12—whatever the gap was when they filmed the Golden Gun sequels—you get the math. Man, he's getting up there, but he's still so incredibly active. 🙂

******

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Spy Hard???? That movie is absolutely brilliant and has that exact same vibe as Golden Gun.

Honestly, both options suck.
But there’s something even worse. It’s that constant, nagging gut feeling—that intuition telling you things are headed south. You keep grinding, pushing through, giving it your all, only to end up completely screwed. And when you finally hit rock bottom, you're left spiraling, wondering:
did they play me? Did they take advantage of my trust; or
did I just screw myself over by ignoring my own red flags when I should have listened?
One thing is for sure: when you're left holding the bag, you can't really point fingers at anyone else. 😛

Joseph Davis5 said:I can't get behind that theory. There are plenty of religions and spiritual paths out there that don't center on God or a deity—take Buddhism, for example.
Does that mean, according to those who follow theocentric faiths, that Buddhists or Taoists aren't considered spiritual beings?
I’m not looking to start an argument based on religious dogma, but I honestly don't think we all need God to grow spiritually or as human beings.
Don't you agree?

I mean, look at how much is out there now—spiritual paths, religions... you name it, it exists!
You've got spiritual atheists, secular pagans, Catholic occultists... it's a massive spectrum.

There are even people who perform rituals and basically worship chemical elements. No, I'm serious, and I'm not twisting the facts.
But hey, that's their right.

Honestly, my eyes hurt sometimes from reading about how foolish people can be (not this forum, mind you, but others) and how they claim to crave "freedom" while actually just narrowing their own perspective.

But again, that's their choice.

Everyone is going to find God and spirituality somewhere—whether it's through religion, ethics, philosophy, specific rituals, science, watching ants, chopping wood, or whatever else... certain archetypes (there I go again with the 😳 ) are just hardwired into us... and

Personally, I don't believe in atheists. 🙂

God exists; people just see Him through different lenses and call Him by different names.

Look, if I want coffee, I go get coffee. It’s that simple. You didn't actually "want" coffee because you changed your mind so fast—that just shows you don't really know what you want. The difference is that I know I want a cup, whereas you're still debating whether you might feel like having one, and then you start overthinking which one of us is actually more free...🙂

Honestly, you two are talking about the exact same thing using two different languages. (I feel like I've already told you this!)

One person might call an Uber, while someone else takes the subway; some people prefer to float along, others prefer to swim hard. The point is that both people should enjoy the ride and reach their destination.
I truly don't see why this is even a debate. 😛

P.S. You two are honestly adorable. 😍 🙂

I see I ended up replying even though I wasn't the one directly called out—it was actually Elizabeth Mendoza43... Just a little mix-up involving Bill Gates. But since it indirectly touched on my point too, I figured I'd leave it here.😉

Sometimes when I say "everyone," I don't mean literally every single soul on the planet—so don't go calling me out for generalizing. If I actually meant *everybody*, I would have used ALL CAPS (which is something you NEVER do), or underlined it, or said something like "literally everyone..." In my context, "everyone" just means the vast majority. You also completely ignored the part of my response where I mentioned they were listening and will continue to listen, which makes my use of "everyone" even more obvious. Sure, there’s a bit of intentional sarcasm involved here, but it would be pretty ridiculous to claim I’m glorifying trash at any cost. That isn't my style, obviously, but hey, it’s not the end of the world either. Personally, based on my own taste, I don't listen to whatever the masses are blasting; I have my limits too. Besides, defining what counts as "trash" is a pretty thankless task... (generally speaking, we could probably agree that artists like Elvis Presley, Thompson, Kovač, Magazine, or Fossil fall into that category. Or maybe the Four Aces, certain country singers, and I won't even get started on foreign acts). By some criteria, you could toss almost all mainstream pop into the same bucket—those little 3-to-5 minute songs with the predictable Verse-Chorus-Bridge structure designed for mass commercial consumption. Under that logic, no genre would be exempt, not even the "sacred cows." Even "alternative" or "progressive" stuff might end up in the same bin... (is this déjà vu?

I watched nothing but Takeshi's "The Most Peaceful Sea This Summer"... truly the most poetic and quietest film ever made...

I reckon we could actually pull that off once we hit critical mass 🙂
Dry skin = itchy skin? in Health ·
So, back at the start of summer, I started dealing with this intense itching, mostly on my legs and back. It would hit me out of nowhere several times a day for about 10 minutes at a time—it was honestly pretty brutal, usually right after I got out of the shower. Around July, I decided to go see my doctor because I thought I might be having some kind of allergic reaction, but she told me it’s just classic dry skin syndrome. She prescribed some Vaseline tablets and a specific lotion for me to apply before bed. For a while, the itching actually stopped, but now it's flared up again. I’m still using the lotion, though I haven't been taking the tablets lately. For context, I normally use Dove soap, but I've experimented with different shampoos too, even the gentle baby versions.

What should I do? Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I should switch to a different soap or body wash?

Do you think spirituality can actually evolve on a global scale? And if it can, are there any signs pointing toward that happening right now?

Not really. Spirituality is such a personal, individual journey.

I’m not entirely sure I follow what you mean by that, though. 😕

obelix said:Wisdom is really just the sum of all those life lessons you actually put into practice. You pick it up through lived experience; it’s got nothing to do with how much schooling you had or how many facts you've memorized.

Exactly,
you don't need a genius-level IQ to be wise, and you certainly don't need a PhD or some massive intellect to get it.

Miller said:Wisdom is a blend of intellect and spiritual depth. While intelligence is something you sharpen through experience or raw talent, true spiritual strength comes from tapping into your own subconscious.

The road to wisdom usually starts with heartbreak.

I disagree!
Wisdom is simply what you gather by living life and observing the world around you.
Think of it as practical knowledge put into action!
Pit stop strategies in Formula 1 ·
Man, you really have a knack for this kind of nonsense.
Since when does anyone actually go around counting mechanics in the pit lane?

BTW: Why is that guy in yellow fueling up the Williams cars? And why isn't he wearing the same uniform as the rest of his crew? Or maybe someone from Jordan has a side hustle going on.

Charles Lee65 said:She ended up marrying a musician from New York City and moved to the States with him.

There was this musician from the Midwest, Fischer, who was easily one of the most talented young drummers in the entire country back in the day. He played with Luna and Ekaterina, and man, he could absolutely shred. He actually went on to patent some kind of drum technology right here in the States.

Charles Lee65 said:She took the kid and fled to the States.

It looks like there might be two girls in there? Hard to tell through all that fog...

Charles Lee65 said:She moved back to Cleveland a few years ago, did an interview with USA Today, and if I recall correctly, she's still living around here.

That would have all gone differently if she hadn't ended up in New York City and met him. sir The owner of Fox News—who, let’s be honest, was just like the rest of us back then, sitting there with our mouths hanging open watching shows like "Room 23"—actually offered Madonna the chance to record an album. And if my memory serves me right, she actually did it. Even now, Madonna is still insanely popular in New York City, especially with anyone who remembers her from twenty years ago. Honestly? She sounds incredible. 👍
After all this time.

My absolute favorite track is that one song I recorded with Suba—you know, Rex Ilusivi? Rest in peace, by the way; he tragically passed away in an apartment fire in Sao Paulo a few years back. And just for the record, Sao Paulo was never actually part of the old Sao Paulo region. 😉

N/A said:Wait, who’s running the show here? Oh right, Rock.
Long live Rock 🙂 🙂

Alright kids, settle in. Here’s some homework for you—but only if you’ve got thick skin and enough brain cells to handle a little controversy.
quote;
"The hallmark of Post-Rock lies in its rejection of flashy vocals and catchy choruses, its complete indifference toward virtuosic guitar solos, and its embrace of fluid, ambient minimalism. By ditching the urge to make people dance and opting instead for unpretentious sonic textures, Post-Rock effectively dismantles every tired stereotype found in mainstream music..."

Or, to put it bluntly: Is Rock (whether it's R&B, Blues, or Metal) actually the absolute pinnacle of what music can achieve?
I’m waiting for the usual crowd of purists to jump in and tear this "monstrous" idea apart.
If you play your cards right and stay (un)constructive, I might just drop part two!
