Tutorial: The Ultimate "How-To" Guide (FAQ) in Forum Help! ·
goldenhound32 said:How do I get the emoticons to show up?

So, when I go to quote someone, that text editor interface pops up with its usual frame, but the emoticons that used to sit on the left side have vanished since I toggled them off, and now I can't quite figure out how to get them back. 🤷

Click. Right here. It’s like having all three houses under one roof. UI elements They really need to be checked off. If they aren't, just go ahead and check them.

And at the bottom of the thread. The text editor interface. It really needs to be set to the standard editor.

Just hit Save Changes. 🙂

Red cards, naturally, carry a weight of ten points or more.

You could always implement a custom red card, maybe something carrying just a single point. 😉

1.thread

Not on this forum. While vBulletin software technically allows you to wipe your own threads by hitting EDIT then Delete on the initial post, that only works if the setting is toggled on in the ACP—which, on most sites, just isn't the case. 🙂
3.post

Yes, you can delete your own posts, provided you select Edit then Delete. Just keep in mind you generally have a 90-minute window after posting before the editing privileges expire. 🙂

Note: Some subforums don't allow you to delete posts at all (for instance, things like Romance, erotica, or Sex). It’s likely because the option was disabled in the Admin CP, though the specific reasoning behind that remains a mystery to me. 🤷

Anyway, take care. 😉
Who do I contact for a permanent ban? in Forum Help! ·
Taylor Howard36 said:Who's the point person for issuing a permanent ban?

You can come to me or restlesssurfer97. It’s pretty straightforward—I just click on these cards and select the permanent ban option, otherwise, it's a thousand-point deduction. 🙏

The whole version feels a bit washed out.

Don't you think? 👍
To me, this looks more like an old SMF skin than actual vBulletin. 🤣
How do I create a poll? in Forum Help! ·
Oh, don't mention it! It was really no big deal. 🙂
How do I create a poll? in Forum Help! ·
Paul James62 said:I want to make a poll but I have no idea how 🤷

Help please 🙂

I'd make a poll like: pick the best movie by this actor.

It’s pretty straightforward—you just hit the New Thread button, type out your title and the main body of your post, and then look down at the bottom where you'll see the Create Poll option. Check that box, specify how many choices you want, and submit the thread; the system will automatically redirect you to a page where you can fill in the poll's question and all your specific options.

For instance, if that actor has four movies you'd include, just set the Number of poll options to 4 before submitting the initial thread. Once you're redirected, you simply enter the question (like "Which is your favorite movie starring [Actor Name]?"), list the first film in option 1, the second in option 2, and so on, then hit post.

P.S.—You also have the choice to let users vote for multiple items or keep the results private, depending on whether you want people to see exactly what everyone else picked.

That's really all there is to it.

Cheers. 🙂

Which browser are you running currently?
If you're on Google, maybe give Internet Explorer a shot, or vice versa.

If everything works fine in Internet Explorer, you might want to head over to Google and go to Tools->Clear Browsing Data. Just make sure to select everything except your saved Passwords before you clear out the cache.
This forum is a total dictatorship in Forum Help! ·

Pretty much. 🙂

Can I still edit my posts after logging out? in Forum Help! ·
rapidrider3 said:Bravo.... just my luck when I finally track everything down... I mean, isn't it always the same story? You spend an hour digging, you finally find what you need, and then—poof—those options just vanish into thin air after an hour or two...

Lindy, Lindy.....🙂 It’s more like ninety minutes, if we're being precise.

Have you tried hitting that little button to report the post?
The moderators can't be everywhere at once—they aren't glued to their screens twenty-four hours a day, if you catch my drift.

ban.............

A temporary restriction on using the Reddit. If a user is banned, they can start a thread in the Ban Hammer section if they feel they have grounds to appeal the Infraction. On all other subreddits, they can still read posts, but they can't reply, send private messages, or anything like that.

Accumulating points up to 100 points results in a 3-day ban.
Reaching 500 points results in a 7-day ban.
Hitting 1000 points leads to a permanent ban, which means it never expires.

Penalties and bans can also be customized. In cases where there isn't a specific point threshold that fits a particular user's behavior, a Moderator or Administrator can issue an Infraction with any number of points they deem appropriate. 🙂
You get me? I'm a bit slow on the uptake.

I follow you. You might just be an older person, or perhaps someone from a different generation. Or maybe you're just out of practice, who knows. 🤷

Otherwise, if your English is up to speed, take a look here.

You should probably check out this too.

Take care. 😉
So emailing them and suggesting they bump up the server's timeout settings should do the trick. I’m really not in the mood to deal with this kind of nonsense.

briskbison41 said:I think they only carry the 60x60 size.

Fair point, 60x60 it is. I was looking at a thread on my usual Reddit community where they mentioned 70x70, which is likely why I got turned around. 😛

@rapidrider3: It might be worth double-checking whatever analogowl122 mentioned earlier.
You should also make sure your image settings are turned on—just click ovhere. Under Thread Display Options->Visible Post Elements, you'll need to ensure all three boxes are checked if you want everything to display "correctly."

Best, 🙂

I can post everywhere else just fine—but for some reason, this one thread won't let me in... I guess.

So, are you able to contribute to other threads within that same subforum?
