Let me be perfectly clear: if anyone continues this trend of addressing one another with insults or throwing around epithets, I will be issuing a strike for every subsequent post.
It’s always the same old story... 🙂 Look, while I think most people here would actually agree with granitefalcon26 that those obsessed with the Ukraine threads tend to be the biggest agitators on the PZK subforum—often for no real reason at all—I feel compelled, as per usual, to issue a reminder regarding our conduct:
You are not here to debate the situation in Ukraine (this space is strictly for discussing moderation), and you certainly aren't here to turn on one another. Thank you. 😉
@mayacar, did you actually file reports on those tracks, or did you just sit back and wait 24 hours to see if the mods would react? You didn't. How can I be so sure? Because you opened a thread about a post that’s barely an hour old. We aren't playing it that way. File the report first and give the moderation team a fair chance to sort it out. If there are still issues after that, then feel free to swing by here.
Let’s get back to the actual topic at hand and stop pointing fingers at one another for trolling. If this constant bickering continues, I will have to start issuing penalties.
Well, it is quite refreshing when things unfold this way. 🙏 The administrator responded to the initial report that kicked this thread off, correcting the oversight, and now slybison8 has provided a rather elegant conclusion—one that doubles as an appeal for everyone to try and elevate the quality of our discourse. Consequently, it seems like the perfect moment to put this dispute to rest and return our focus to the actual discussion at hand.
It would be far more effective if they installed a curb along the edge of the track, paired with a steep embankment on the runoff side. That way, if a driver loses control and slides off, there's no easy way to get back on the racing line. They’d essentially have to come to a near halt and crawl back onto the asphalt just to avoid ripping the nose off their car. It's a bit like when we try to drive our trucks up a steep gravel driveway and just end up spinning our wheels.
I suppose I’m just here to like posts about lingerie. 🙏 🙏
As for the races themselves, things are looking pretty volatile. If Lewis Hamilton doesn't pull off a win and instead suffers another slip-up, I suspect his mental state might take a serious turn for the worse. Watching what Williams Racing and the stronger Red Bull Racing teams are doing behind the Mercedes-Benz is perhaps somewhat interesting, but frankly, it’s all rather trivial. ☕
Formula 1 drivers aren't some kind of damn gladiators or players in a game of Russian roulette... I fail to see why technical skill should be inherently tied to gambling with one's life.
That isn't how you start a thread on this forum. If you want to be heard, try stripping away the insults and submitting a formal, direct complaint backed by specific links. Furthermore, don't expect anyone to tell you which moderator made a particular call; that's strictly internal business and none of your concern.
After reviewing the discussion and the exhaustive clarification provided by the supermoderator, I believe this thread has finally reached its natural conclusion. A moderator's fairness is demonstrated through consistent application of the rules; just because one side is currently drowning out the other with sheer volume doesn't mean the opposition requires special protection.
I suggest we focus our energy elsewhere now. If you truly feel something was missed, feel free to reach out with links to specific posts that were reported but not penalized or removed, provided you believe they actually warranted action.
Exactly, the issue here isn't actually about Ukraine, but rather how this specific thread is being moderated regarding Ukraine. I would appreciate it if that distinction were kept in mind.
@vividdrifter79/">@@vividdrifter79 - This inquiry was directed toward the spirituality moderators, yet this particular thread is being managed by the PZK staff. In other words, our role is to maintain the space here, while they simply step in when requested.
That is all there is to it; I would ask that we return our focus to the topic at hand.
Seven years on this forum and you're still bickering over moderator warnings? :facepam: Just so we're clear, your strike has been wiped, so try not to focus exclusively on the times things didn't go your way.
Besides, my role here is to moderate the hobbyist section, not politics. I don't involve myself in other people's grievances; my only goal is to maintain order here. Others handle those discussions. And that is precisely what they are doing. 😉
The proof is in the link. If there truly were a discrepancy in how criteria are applied, then the evidence would consist of links showing similar situations being treated differently.
Jeffrey Wood10 and the rest of you, this isn't some street brawl where you can just swing whatever comes to mind at whoever you please. I am asking that everyone stays on topic and backs up their claims with actual evidence (links). We cannot continue like this.
