cosmiccyclist8, Anthony Jackson2 makes a fair point, so you might want to take another look at the list of terms you agreed to when you were getting your partial cleaning done. 👍 However, since you’re being so insistent, I will attempt to address this issue so that at least some of these Reddit users can stop getting banned from the Formula 1 threads.
To be honest, the Formula 1 subforum has become a sort of neutral zone for certain users who didn't quite fit in on the other boards they used to frequent. Consequently, we have what you might call the "contenders for the crown": the users with the most warnings, those with the highest number of partial bans, and the ones with the most clone accounts. All this is happening within a relatively small subforum with a modest number of regular contributors. It leaves us with the same dilemma that every generation of mods has faced: 1. attempt to retain these colorful characters by trying to steer them toward acceptable behavior (by Formula 1 standards), or 2. hand out a few more partial bans to achieve instant peace, though at the cost of driving away a handful of passionate fans for whom Formula 1 is the center of their entire digital universe.
Up until now, we have consistently tried to succeed with the first approach. In doing so, however, we find ourselves constantly facing accusations from two sides: either that we are letting the subforum fall apart by allowing the "harbingers of doom" to shout over everyone else, or that we are heartless tyrants picking on unfortunate individuals who are actually being constructive. (If you look above, you can see cosmiccyclist8's example of this, where they provide links to posts that resulted in warnings due to arguments over moderator decisions. 🤦 ) It is quite clear that the current system is no longer functioning properly. It appears we will need to hold detailed consultations between Waya and myself, followed by the four of us meeting with Edge and Nick, before finally deciding on the future direction for managing our little slice of heaven.
Joe, I make no secret of the fact that I think you're a wonderful person. In fact, it’s actually quite painful for me when I have to step in and be the heavy. I see the issue clearly: you're a good man with genuine intentions—everyone who knows you understands that—but you seem to struggle with the reality that we're living in strange times. Despite your noble character, the rules here apply to you just as they do to any other average person who happens to wander onto this forum. So, damn it, occasionally Way and I are forced to issue you a timeout because you're critiquing the moderation within a thread, or perhaps because you're arguing with yourself via two or three burner accounts and those kinds of trivialities. But look, this is our job, and that's yours; I see no reason why we can't continue to respect and value one another. 🙏
cosmiccyclist8, the kid got a warning for picking fights with the blue moderator alerts right inside the thread. It wasn't enough to get him banned, but he already had a significant amount of points accumulated from elsewhere. Besides, he's been around the forum long enough to know that you don't comment on moderation within a discussion thread; there are specific channels for that. Furthermore, if you intend to take this to the grievance committee, come prepared with links and concrete evidence, rather than just throwing a pure troll outburst like you did in your previous post.
Guys, this thread has been handled with nothing but peace and respect so far. I’m asking everyone to please keep it that way. Essentially, let's avoid any personal vendettas. Let's focus our attention on the actual events rather than attacking other commenters.
So, let me get this straight—your very first contribution to this subforum was a question about whether or not one is permitted to tell the truth? Well, here is your answer: I find myself wondering how such a detail could have escaped you, considering it is explicitly laid out in the community guidelines. One would assume that a user might take a moment to review the rules before deciding to pose a question, wouldn't they?
@maminho - Call yourselves whatever little boys you want; it makes no difference to me. @Jason Campbell70/">@@Jason Campbell70 - It isn't as if he didn't have the opportunity. This is currently the best possible start for the Monaco Grand Prix. 😉
When I watch Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg go head-to-head, my heart is firmly in Lewis's corner. That said, if we're looking at what’s best for the championship's overall health, perhaps it would be more beneficial for Rosberg to take the win. I suspect Sebastian Vettel could also play a significant role in this dynamic. Furthermore, I find myself agreeing regarding Jenson Button being about four or five positions off.
And what am I supposed to do, only permit comments that happen to favor your position? Matthew Anderson isn't even deviating from the subject; if anything, he’s highlighting just how nonsensical your request actually is. You’re asking to migrate threads where you contributed over to a sub-forum where you were awarded partial credit. But surely, the very fact that you received partial credit serves as proof of that contribution.
brightcrane56 said:The real question here is how someone with such a track record could possibly land a partial payout.
If that is indeed the "real" question, then this entire thread has missed the mark entirely, as it fails to address the actual inquiry from the original post. Are we meant to just close this discussion so you can start a brand new one regarding the reasons behind your specific partial payment?
There won't be any presentation of evidence. The fact that you can apply for a pardon after six months means exactly that: you can ask for a pardon. There is no reopening of the trial here, nor is there any point in badgering the moderators to dig up old posts—that would be entirely futile. You earned your permanent ban through your own actions and contributions, and that is simply the reality of the situation. The only thing left for you to do is attempt to demonstrate that you are now a reformed member, proving that should you ever return, your conduct would be fundamentally different. If you insist on revisiting the reasons for your ban and once again claiming to be a victim of some malicious moderator-administrator oligarchy hell-bent on stifling your "productive influence," you will certainly find yourself making no progress at all.
I must ask that you stop spamming this thread. It has been stated multiple times that your request has been noted, and the decision now rests entirely with the administrators of the subforums where you previously posted.
Bryan, I’m locking this thread because of the trolling. You are attempting to draw a false equivalence between the blatant mockery of believers—calling them "clerical-fascist sheep"—and the standard terminology used for supporters of atheism.
Because PŽK is an actual part of this forum, not some lawless black hole where you can just wander in to scream, whine, throw accusations, and harass people while thinking there are no consequences. The way someone conducts themselves says everything about their own character, regardless of which sub-forum they happen to be visiting.
But I don't think you quite grasped the situation; you've made your request, and now we are simply waiting to see if anyone decides to address it. 👋
The users who engage in civil discussions and don't cause unnecessary drama—which, let’s be honest, is what the vast majority of people here actually do—never just stumble into permanent status. You have to truly earn it. And really, who else should be reviewing appeals if not the moderators and administrators? Should we be turning to the European Court of Human Rights instead?
But in all seriousness, as I mentioned before, you've submitted your request, so now all you can do is wait...
I think you’ve missed the mark here... First off, regarding the crusaders. And secondly, one can certainly evaluate an individual's body of work on PŽK.
In any case, you have submitted your request, and those it concerns have been notified. Now, let us see if anyone else has anything to contribute to the matter.
Tambura, look, I get it—playing the victim and pointing fingers at everyone else for your own issues feels good, but you aren't going to turn this thread into a crusade against the admin.
For a permanent ban to even be considered, the moderators on the subforums where you’ve been active would need to actually support the idea (meaning they can't be indifferent, and they certainly can't be against it). From what I've seen so far, that isn't happening in your case. And let’s be real: this isn't the fault of rustydrifter10, some freak accident, or some cosmic injustice. It is entirely due to you and how you conduct yourself on this forum. Therefore, I suggest changing your tone and stopping this attempt to solve problems that don't exist.
Here are my two cents: as a moderator of the PZK subforum, where you caused absolute chaos, I am voting a firm no.
