Dealing with the teenage years is a nightmare in Students & Teens ·
So I find myself drifting back to these parenting forums way too often. It’s always just endless chatter about toddlers or newborns, you know? Yeah, yeah, I know we’ve touched on this before, but it feels like everyone just stops talking about it once the kids hit a certain age. So, let’s get into it: how are you all actually handling the puberty phase? What’s driving you up the wall? What’s the breaking point for you? For me, it’s the total lack of interest in actual conversation. It’s maddening. You ask how their day went at middle school and it’s just "boring." You tell them to go outside and burn off some energy and suddenly everything is "boring" and they have zero clue what to even do with themselves. And don't even get me started on the clothes situation. One kid couldn't care less about looking decent, while the other acts like they need to haul half their entire wardrobe out of the closet every single morning just to head to class. How are you guys dealing with these teenage tantrums?😉
Period and Menstrual Cycle Talk in Women's Health ·
Dana Miller2 said:My cycle runs about 25-28 days; I end up getting my period twice a month half the time because of it😁. It’s not super painful, just leaves me totally wiped out on day one.
The PMS is straight-up brutal: depression hits hard, irritability, crying fits, and in really bad moments, even suicidal thoughts... plus those crazy food cravings, bloating, skin being hyper-sensitive to any touch, and sore boobs... Then, once the bleeding stops, I get these massive waves of euphoria and good moods😁. If I actually bother to work out and eat clean, things aren't nearly as bad.

Just jumping in here—my cycle is usually 28-30 days and the flow lasts about 7. Ever since I started taking those herbal supplements, I feel way better. No more mood swings, everything is basically a five out of five👍
Mosquito bite wounds! in Health ·
Maybe you're just allergic to bug bites or whatever. Honestly, I deal with the exact same thing, it's a nightmare. Those little patches don't do squat, though—total waste of time. Your best bet is probably grabbing some Benadryl or something similar to take the edge off the allergy, then maybe you won't keep breaking out like this.😉👍

forgotta mention—you're the main attraction here. eyes are on you, not the damn cake😉

Look, if you’re asking about wedding cakes, most people just go with fondant. It’s basically like white chocolate—super dense and easy to mold into whatever shape you want. You can dye it any color you feel like, but honestly? That's my top pick. Plus, keeping it classic white is the move. Once those fancy decorative flowers get slapped on there, nobody gives a damn what the cake is actually made of. They’re just staring at how it looks.

Walmart, hands down 🙄

I would love to get some advice from any fellow cake enthusiasts out there...
Basically, I am absolutely in love with this specific cake style, so I wanted to see if it is actually feasible to make them this tall while still keeping three tiers like the ones in the photo. My local bakery told me that the layers would end up being way, way shorter than what you see here...
P.S. It's a fruit-based cake, so maybe that's part of the issue...

Look, you can't really do a fruit cake for a wedding. It’s a bad move because that cream starts melting way too fast once things heat up.
Female vs. male OB-GYNs: Any preferences? in Women's Health ·
Look, at the end of the day, it doesn't even matter which doctor you pick, as long as they actually know what they're doing, ☕

rowdyraven11 said:Anything can happen, honestly. It takes a minute for your body to get back to normal after giving birth, so your cycle being off could just be that. But hey, if you weren't using protection, pregnancy is definitely on the table—trust me, I've been there.
Just head down to CVS or Walgreens and grab a test. Then you'll actually know what's going on.

Pretty high chance you're pregnant☕
Weight issues in Health ·
Just watch your weight while you can, seriously. Once that extra baggage starts piling on, getting it off is a total nightmare.🙂

My kid is 6'5" and barely weighs 150 lbs... honestly, he’s already over it.

So here's the deal: I'm 16, weighing about 119 lbs, and I'm 5'11"...
If anyone's got a solid meal plan for a whole week, that would be huge...
I play basketball, but since we're on break for the holidays, I figured I'd try to pack on at least 15-17 lbs (if that's even a thing you can actually do in such a short window)...

Any advice at all is welcome...

Oh, and just for context—I did handball for two years, soccer for three, went to state for swimming, and I've only been playing basketball for a year (pretty sure all that cardio is why I'm so skinny)🤷

Honestly, I think you're doing alright, it really just comes down to how you feel about yourself🙄

Dealing with hemorrhoids in Health ·
Try drinking more milk and sticking to lighter meals, you know? People always say Perrier works wonders, though I don't have any on me right now. Honestly, if I overdo it with the food, it’s like my eyes start leaking right there on the toilet.

Look, sitting on ice or using cold water to rinse isn't even the same thing. You just splash some cold water on yourself, right? But actually sitting there? That's bad news. It's not healthy because you're gonna end up wrecking your kidneys too.

Look, I’ve already said this a bunch of times above...
I took Daflon—started with 3x2 for the first five days, then dropped to 2x2. I went through three boxes total and the whole thing just vanished..
A few sitz baths, some
Faktu
whenever things got dicey, and that was that..

In the mornings, I started eating muscle meat for breakfast and chugging a massive coffee, then hitting the restroom right after. Keeps me steady all day long. Honestly, can't believe everything's still fine even now..
How much does that stuff cost? Can you grab it without a prescription?😉

I'm really hoping there's at least one female doctor on staff, honestly, because I'm absolutely mortified ☕
