This has been going on for a while, and honestly, I'm just over being a target for these jerks. I don't insult anyone. I know you guys don't delete accounts just because someone asks, and changing handles isn't an option either. But I'm tired of being publicly lynched here, so I guess I'm wondering if you can help me out? Maybe deactivate my profile or just ban it so it's not public? Or at least block my inbox so I stop getting creepy messages from people. All I want is to have a decent discussion without getting attacked personally just because I was the one who posted the topic.
I work as a designer over in Germany, and I can tell you firsthand that the pros almost always pair an Apple tablet with a MacBook Pro 15" (though it's a 16" now). For my daughter, I think a decent Apple tablet paired with her current laptop should be more than enough.

So, I’ve got this WordPress blog and I was trying to add a custom container with an image and some text right under the header. I couldn't figure it out on my own, so I ended up hiring a freelancer. But honestly? The guy seems to have zero clue how to make the container and the image responsive to match the rest of the site. The template itself is actually pretty clean and well-coded, so there isn't an issue with the theme—it's just this specific section we added. The image in that new container gets all distorted on iPads, even though it looks fine on mobile and desktop (though the desktop view breaks at certain breakpoints).

I need some help regarding macOS. I’ve got a 2011 iMac that’s still running Lion. I want to upgrade from Lion to Sierra, but first I need to get an external HDD ready for Time Machine. The drive is currently formatted in DOS, and I have 320 GB of data on it that I can't just move somewhere else and copy back later. (I don't have enough space on my iMac to do that either) Questions: 1) Is there any way to reformat this external drive to a Mac format without losing all the files already on it? 2) If something goes sideways during the jump from Lion to Sierra, is it possible to get my files back without a Mac? Also, will I actually be able to run my current software, like Illustrator and Photoshop, once I'm on Sierra? That's my biggest worry because I seriously need those programs!!
Can someone please help me out! It's a 1.4 TB WD drive, and it feels stupid to go out and buy a new one just because of this Mac.

Honestly, what you're talking about isn't even that hard to pull off. Just apply for an apprenticeship in Germany for cosmetology—I think there's more info on the IRS website or something. If you pass the interview, you get free German classes, move to Germany, learn the trade, and work for two years at the same time. Plus, you actually get paid a wage you wouldn't see in America even in a management role. So yeah, just my two cents.

That whole thing about motor skills just isn't right, at least when you're talking about piano. I know this from my own experience—even though I didn't start music school until second grade—and I know it for a fact from a family member who's a professional musician.

Hey everyone. I’ve got this weird issue with my printer—well, weird for me, anyway. Ever since there was a power outage, it won't recognize either the black or the color ink. Everything was working perfectly fine before the outage, too. I tried following some stuff I found online; I thought maybe if I pulled the cartridges out, unplugged the thing, then plugged it back in and popped the cartridges back in, it might reset. But nope. Nothing. It’s still giving me that error message 🤷 What should I do? My model is a Canon PIXMA
I've got a question about sending letters to Taiwan (by plane, obviously). I've been sending mail there for years and it used to take maybe 10 days tops, but lately, it’s stretching out to 18 or 20 days—even though I’m using the exact same method, just standard airmail! The letters coming back from Taiwan arrive right on time (within 7-10 days), so I guess I'm wondering what could be causing this delay?!
One more thing: I recently sent a letter to Taiwan and decided to go with priority shipping to speed things up. Usually, for regular airmail, I just use those special envelopes you buy at the post office. The clerk told me that using those envelopes already counts as priority (?) but she still charged me $0.67 extra (the standard rate for priority mail). From what I could see, she didn't put any special markings or stickers on it or anything. It’s not like I’m obsessed, but I mean, did she just rip me off, or is that even possible since the price is clearly marked on the envelope?

No, I already said I’m not talking about those little one-off workshops. I actually want to learn this dance properly. I know, I know—it's probably too late for me to become a pro, but I really want serious training. Like, at least twice a week. Anything less than that just isn't worth it, I guess.
