A quick question about cocktails in Miscellaneous ·
Nicholas Gomez27 said:wasn't he talking about that cheap bottom-shelf vodka?

Wait, what's wrong with mixing it with Sprite??
It basically evaporates...
You don't even taste the alcohol because it just vanishes into thin air, but after a few rounds, man, it hits you like a freight train. 😬
Though, I suppose that probably isn't quite what the author had in mind...🤔
Do you enjoy breaking things? in Miscellaneous ·
Now, don't get me wrong—I’m certainly not the type of person who feels the need to go around smashing things or breaking property, but I must confess I have a bit of a manic streak when it comes to those thin plastic produce bags you get at the grocery store..
When I finally get home from a shopping trip and finish organizing all my vegetables, I find myself inflating every single little bag until they absolutely "explode." 😍
Honestly, I have no idea why it brings me such satisfaction... though I suppose everyone in my household has already become quite accustomed to the sound of bags popping all over the house right after we get back from the store..🙂

ironseal13 said:Oh, goodness, I misspoke again—I didn't take Advil, I actually took Tylenol!! I always seem to mix those two names up. Ugh. Anyway, I took the Tylenol at 2:00 PM, and then I had some Voltaren Rapid after I posted this thread... the pain has subsided slightly, and I am sincerely hoping I won't need to end up in the ER. If the pain returns, I will certainly head in. Regardless, I have an appointment on Monday with my dentist for some imaging and follow-up.

Thank you so much for the reply, 🙂

If there is an actual infection brewing in that tooth, there isn't any amount of Voltaren in the world that is going to fix it.....
I know this from firsthand experience... it might offer a moment of temporary relief, but truly, the only thing that helps is having a dentist drill into the tooth to release the pressure from the gases building up inside. It’s the only way to get real relief. I have dealt with these exact types of pains quite often, and if even Voltaren fails to touch it, then you are dealing with an inflammation that nothing can soothe.

If you happen to be in a major city like Chicago or New York, there are usually emergency dental clinics open around the clock (I can't recall the specific locations offhand) that could just open the tooth up for you... just enough so you can survive until you see your regular dentist...

Back when I was suffering through pains so intense that absolutely nothing worked—honestly, I found myself daydreaming about someone just knocking me unconscious with a punch to the head, just so I wouldn't have to think about the pain anymore.... it was an absolute catastrophe!!!
Ear cleaning tips? in Health ·
bluedriver2 said:If the earwax has already become quite hard, I truly believe the best course of action is to visit a physician. They can either attempt to clear the blockage themselves or, more likely, prescribe some specialized ear drops. Those drops work to soften the wax, allowing it to either migrate out naturally or making it much easier for the doctor to perform a safe irrigation of the ear canal later on.

Alternatively, you could try using those ear syringing kits—honestly, they are a total lifesaver.
And frankly, the local pharmacy prices are just ridiculous; I saw a single kit there for nearly $17, whereas I actually went ahead and ordered a six-pack from an online medical supply company for only $33.
You really ought to see a specialist at a private clinic. A general practitioner just isn't going to provide that level of care...
I remember once visiting my OB-GYN to ask about those specific pills, and he looked me straight in the eye and told me they weren't even a thing... 🤣

But, as it turns out, I later discovered that they are actually just standard birth control pills administered at a much higher dosage...

You aren't going to be able to manage this on your own without a prescription. If you just walk into a local CVS or Walgreens and try to buy contraceptive pills off the shelf, you have no way of knowing the correct dosage required for your body. Please, don't play games with your health; go see an American doctor immediately...

It has taken me quite some time to finally steel myself enough to write this post.

For a while now, I have been feeling quite strange... I am constantly haunted by this image of myself being ill, and it all started so abruptly about two years ago...

I am 19 years old, standing 185cm tall, weighing 73kg... I played basketball for a long time, though I stopped around age 14 or 15... I enjoy joking around, I’m not an introverted person, and I have plenty of friends... I work at Studio 54... Lately, however, I am frequently plagued by the thought that I am sick... I started smoking when I was 14, though I managed to quit for several long stretches... now I have picked it up again, and my mind keeps racing toward cancer. Whenever I start coughing, a wave of panic washes over me... then I feel completely overheated, even though I don't actually have a fever... sometimes I find it ridiculous, but honestly, it is simply stronger than I am... I went through every possible test I could four months ago... everything was perfect—bloodwork, urine, blood sugar, iron levels... three months ago, I even had imaging done on my lungs, and everything was normal... yet, these various thoughts and fears continue to haunt me... What are the chances of someone who is 19 having cancer?😕 😕 😕 😕 I mean, probably none, but my head works one way and my body works another... it is just a constant cycle; for two years now, these thoughts hit me, they persist, then they fade, then I am happy again for a while and everything feels fine, and it just goes around in circles... incidentally, everyone in my family smokes, and no one else has ever dealt with anything like this... please, tell me what I should do.😕 🤷

Panic attacks...
I went through those exact same issues—except for me, I felt like I was having a heart attack every single time.
Either go see a psychologist for a consultation, or try to help yourself.
If you have any other questions, feel free to send me a private message.

Lawrence Wells said:Basically, we’re looking at electromyography—which is just a fancy way of saying we're measuring the electrical activity and action potentials within a motor unit (aka, your muscle).

Alright, let's switch over to English! 😬

So, how is it actually performed?

What exactly is General Electric? Honestly, I’m a bit lost here... could someone please clarify?

analogsailor98 said:Look, I'm definitely stressed out—no argument there—but my cycle has always been super predictable, so this little hiccup actually caught me off guard.

Oh, please believe me when I say that is simply due to stress... even if everything else seems perfectly normal otherwise.
Don't let it weigh on your mind too heavily. Once you manage to find some calm again, I am certain everything will settle back into its natural rhythm...
Period coming 9 days early?! in Health ·
I actually had one instance where it arrived just two days after my previous cycle ended...
The sheer level of stress I was dealing with during finals week at university was definitely the culprit...

I truly believe I have the upper hand when it comes to size—oops, I mean LACK of size.😬

Oh, you aren't the one in control here, I am... 🙂
We're actually the exact same size, and I'm 26.🎉
Totally flat :( in Health ·
I’m 26 years old, and I wear the absolute smallest bra size available. Honestly, depending on how a specific brand is cut, even that feels a bit loose sometimes! I used to obsess over it constantly, but I've finally reached a point where I'm just genuinely happy with my body.
The only time things change is during my monthly cycle; everything feels a bit more "full," and that’s usually when I find myself daydreaming about actually having larger breasts.

Besides, my husband absolutely loves my figure exactly as it is. Plus, I can't help but feel incredibly relieved knowing I won't have to deal with any significant sagging after having two or three kids...

Well, if you look closely, he clearly stated that he went to see his doctor, but the poor guy didn't end up getting anything out of the visit at all...
Having trouble breathing in Health ·
I experience this from time to time myself... I honestly can't pinpoint the exact cause. A few years back, I went in for a chest X-ray and everything came back perfectly fine.

To be perfectly honest, Google was quite literally my lifeline when I first started navigating the internet. 🙂

I truly find it hard to believe there is any meaningful distinction in performance between those using Google and those stuck using Internet Explorer....

Why would I bother retyping everything? My strategy is simply to hit the back button in my browser over and over again until the post finally goes through.🤣

Well, even if I do go back... it’s not exactly a disaster... except the problem is that it just dumps me right back onto the post I was trying to quote, without actually saving anything I typed...
It is absolute madness...
The system has been incredibly taxing lately...👎

Over the last few days—and I mean much more frequently than usual—I’ve been getting constant "server busy" messages. On top of that, the forum pages are loading incredibly slowly, if they even load at all...
Does anyone know what's going on??

edit: While I was actually trying to get this thread posted, I had to start from scratch twice because it kept throwing that "server busy" error at me... Honestly, it happened about 15 times in just one hour this morning...
What's your go-to water brand? in Health ·
tap water—honestly, the municipal water here in San Diego is incredibly crisp and high-quality...

If I ever find myself needing to grab something bottled while out and about in the city, though, I exclusively reach for Dasani.

Nicole Harris7 said:Haha, I'm laughing, but it's not funny. The situation is actually a bit messy because my former employer screwed me over with my paperwork; they didn't file everything on time after I left, so my health insurance coverage lapsed. So, zero points for the local doctor right now. Is there some kind of cream or something for those lumps?

Oh, come on, just leave them alone and stop picking at them—it’ll clear up on its own...
