Look, I don't have any major health issues or anything. But something is bothering me. I’m 24, and about seven months ago, this larger subcutaneous pimple popped up on my head, just above my right ear. It was visibly red, and I spent a good deal of time trying to squeeze it out, though it didn't really work. After a couple of weeks, the inflammation subsided, but there’s still this dark spot left on my scalp. You can actually feel a hard little mass under the skin—about the size of a pea, maybe even smaller. Since it hasn't gone away and it's starting to get on my nerves, I wanted to see if anyone here has dealt with something similar. Any idea what it could be? My hygiene is solid; I eat well, wash my hair regularly, all that. But I can't help wondering why it's still there or what that lump actually is. I did some digging online, and people are throwing around terms like cysts, swollen lymph nodes, and so on. Or is it probably time to just go see a dermatologist? I've noticed that because I keep touching the area, a few more of these small bumps have appeared nearby—maybe two or three. I wonder if it might be an infection. Sometimes those smaller ones get inflamed and leak a tiny bit of pus every few weeks. If anyone has dealt with this, let me know if there's a specific cream for it, or if this is, I don't know, something dangerous like a major infection or something extreme. Thanks.

I’ve also experienced my palm going completely numb, which I eventually traced back to sleeping on that specific arm while lying on my side during the night.

If I’m sitting in a certain position where there's pressure on my elbow, I start feeling this numbness in my pinky and ring finger—and sometimes you don't even realize you're holding yourself in such an awkward posture...
It might sound trivial, but... well, hopefully someone else will spot your thread (there are probably some MDs lurking here who will understand...)

Since I feel I owe you all a debt for the amusement, allow me to share one of my own rather clumsy little episodes...
Picture this: It is pouring rain. Absolutely torrential. I am in a massive hurry to get home because I have an appointment with my doctor (regarding a certain medical mishap, details provided below 😬), and just as I reach my car, I realize I have a flat tire!! I am standing there thinking, "What on earth am I going to do?" So, I decide to change the tire myself 😎. I waited for the rain to let up just a tiny bit, then grabbed that large L-shaped lug wrench. As anyone who knows anything about cars can tell you, the proper technique is to give it a firm shove with your foot first to break the tension, then jack up the car and unscrew it the rest of the way... Well, the rain had been coming down harder earlier, so everything was soaking wet and incredibly slippery—including my reebokica. When I went to plant my foot firmly against that wrench (which, mind you, has a VERY sharp edge on the opposite end) instead of hitting the wrench, my foot decided to take its own path! It slipped right off that SHARP edge and wedged itself directly between the wrench and the wheel... A 15cm laceration on my leg. Even now, five years later, the scar remains
.
Anyhow, I didn't bother getting a tetanus shot because I had actually received one less than 24 hours prior (due to that medical incident I mentioned at the start)
(For those curious, the mishap involved me going down a wooden slide, and a splinter snapped off and embedded itself right into my... well, my backside 🙄 😬 )

Just please, don't go doing anything reckless, like jumping off any rooftops or anything crazy. 😁

Anyway, how is your head feeling today?

I had a bit of a clumsy moment earlier—I actually walked straight into a set of glass doors! Thank goodness they were made of tempered safety glass, otherwise, I might have ended up in the emergency room instead of just nursing a bruised ego. 🤣
