I'm reading the book and it’s great! Reminds me of Lolita...

That is genuinely one of the most ridiculous takes I've ever heard. How on earth could that book remind you of Lolita? 😵 😵

One thing is certain: it isn't pornography. 😂

frozenpilot2 said:The gadgets in this movie are easily the best part—especially all that gear Milla Jovovich uses. Honestly, if I could get my hands on that Chanel makeup kit, I’d be set for life...😁
The whole film is pure entertainment from start to finish.
That scene where the junk dealer rings Bruce Willis's doorbell while wearing that spy camera hat? Absolutely brilliant... 😁😁😁

And that bit where the guy disguised as a Black man has a cockroach spy cam, only for the President to take off his shoe and crush him with it... hilarious. 😂 😂 😂

Ethan Perez97 said:The only thing working in The Fifth Element is her ridiculous facial expressions. Whenever I see Milla Jovovich cast in a film, I avoid it like the plague. She can't act, and she isn't even all that attractive.

Well, she doesn't have much of a chest either... 😬

A damn good film. Fun plot, killer soundtrack, witty banter over the comms, sharp humor, solid directing, and pure entertainment from start to finish...
I’ve probably lost count of how many times I've watched this since I picked up the DVD. 😁But honestly, the best part is those ridiculous dialogues. Just brilliant...

Aknot: You asked for a case, we brought you a case.
Zorg: A case with FOUR STONES in it! Not one or two or three, but four! Four stones! What the hell am I supposed to do with an empty case?
Aknot: We are warriors, not merchants.
Zorg: But you can still count! Look, it's easy. Look at my fingers: four stones, four crates. Zero stones? ZERO CRATES!

Father Cornelius and Ruby Rhod see The bomb Stuck to The door ] Priest Vito Cornelius: You're a monster, Zorg.
Zorg: I know.

Father Cornelius and Ruby Rhod see The bomb Stuck to The door ] Priest Vito Cornelius: What are you doing?
Korben Dallas: Trying to save your ass so you can save the world.

Ruby Rhod: No no no no no no. 'Cuz if it was a bomb, the alarms would go off 'cuz all these hotels have bomb detectors, right?
[the alarms sound]

Korben Dallas: What's your name?
Leeloo: Leeloo.
Korben Dallas: Good. That... that whole thing's your name, huh? Do you have, uh... a shorter name?
Leeloo: Leeloo.

Of course, the game isn't nearly as good, dammit.

More accurately, 75. I just noticed that now. 😵

Right. 😵 Mind if I borrow that image? 😈

I don't quite get this joke regarding my personal favorite film, Mortal Kombat...🤔
Digging up some old forum banter here, but honestly, there’s no better place for it. 😁

Does anyone remember which movie this is? Rambo 2? Pretty sure it's some 80s action flick...

Hmm... could it be that old action movie, Dragon Lady? It's been a while since I saw it...

So, I’ve been getting quite a few DMs lately. As soon as I hit the 50 mark, I start clearing out the older, less important ones just to make room. Honestly, it's becoming a bit of a chore... I was wondering if anyone knows the exact limit before the inbox actually hits capacity?
Jacob's Ladder in Movies ·
An excellent film with an unforgettable ending. It definitely leans into horror territory—think that creepy tail on the homeless man or that disturbing sex scene in the disco. Truly a great piece of cinema; I’ve watched it twice and only let myself tear up once during that final scene...
It just irritates me how they butchered the title for the American release by calling it Jacob's Ladder of Horror. Why on earth would they add "of Horror" to the title? Such a mindless addition...

This is my avatar from another forum where you can actually upload something decent instead of this tiny space...😬

darksurfer26 said:When I was a kid, my biggest fear was actually Ghostbusters—specifically that scene with the ghost-infested photo in the first movie. That haunted me. I was maybe nine or ten at the time, and even though I’d already sat through Pet Sematary, The Thing, and a whole pile of other 80s horror and slashers, none of them touched me. Only A Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy Krueger actually managed to scare me back then, and those were clearly categorized as horror... 🙂

Yeah, I had a similar experience. As a kid, I was watching movies like The Thing, Proteus, Alien... Then during puberty, I hit a phase where I didn't want to touch horror at all (though I watched everything else; damn, I really regret missing Warlock 2). Now? I watch just about anything...

Kimberly White63 said:As long as they aren't like those "vampire story" collections where you get everything except actual horror. Thank God there are at least a few funny ones to stop you from dying of boredom...

Well, I wouldn't know. I haven't read it and I don't plan to. I was actually thinking of using that title for my own work 😠 , but thankfully, I have some backups.
So, they're that bad? Honestly, if you saw mine, you'd see they have everything except humor. (barely any, really...)
Finding Nemo (2003) in Movies ·
irontiger25 said:Hey there...

Before I make a mistake here, has anyone actually picked up the Finding Nemo DVD from a newsstand lately? The ads in the papers claim it's "synchronized in American," so I’m trying to figure out if the disc actually includes the original English audio or if it’s just the American dub... I really don't want to mess this up. I need the English version...

Please let me know as soon as possible... I haven't seen this animation yet and I'd like to grab it quickly.

REGARDS to everyone on the forum...

THANX

It does include the English audio. The bonus features are pretty thin—just a trailer for The Incredibles, a mediocre aquarium featurette, and some commentary. The subtitles aren't positioned perfectly either, but it'll do.
David Lynch said:it's basically this:

10-YEAR-OLD SON: "Mom, Mom, I want to go to the movies with my friends!"
MOTHER: "Alright, fine, but what are you planning on watching?"
10-YEAR-OLD SON: "I believe in love. Just give me the cash, please!!"
.
.
and they head out to watch a slaughterfest...

Honestly, a massacre is a much better choice than some romantic drama about believing in love. 😁
