My ultimate pie ranking

1. Meat-stuffed potato pie
2. Boiled potato pie
3. Burek
4. Pumpkin pie (the sweet version)
5. Classic potato pie
6. Spinach and cheese pie

Err... I guess we should probably switch over to some record geek topics before they kick us out of here🙂

Wow, 🤣 🤣 🤣

I’ve always found M83 to be such a pleasant band to listen to—they definitely have that laid-back, Southern vibe, though I guess they aren't exactly high-energy enough to get a real party started...
North America power! 🙂

rapidbison42 said:Well, it’s just how things go, I suppose... the crowd was packed with those local pseudo-jazz snobs—you know, the doctors, lawyers, and corporate execs from the area who probably haven't the slightest clue who John Zorn is. They all looked so incredibly confused after the show by the unconventional outfits the Zornovin crew were sporting.
How dare they...

I wonder, was he wearing a Napalm Death or an Agnostic Front shirt? 😬

Tyler Grant86 said:Just to be clear, I've been following Jesus Lizard since their very first EP. Up until Shota's era, they were my absolute number one band—right alongside NMN and Fugazi back in the early nineties. When they started sliding, I felt a bit silly for holding out hope that they might turn things around, but I guess it turns out there just wasn't any hope left :2up:

🙂
That being said, I still think Blue is actually pretty good 😁

Tyler Grant86 said:I honestly find it quite surprising that they actually decided to bring him to San Diego. It’s pretty common knowledge that if the offer isn't north of $20,000 and doesn't include a stay at a five-star hotel, he won't even bother discussing a concert... I guess some people just have very specific requirements!

A night out on the town! 😎

😁

Personally, I’d probably put Chuck Berry right in front of him, but hey, that’s probably not what today's show is about!🙂

Robin Booth said:Oh man, my bad! I guess it’s just great that you decided to let me know on a forum I haven't even checked in a week.😲

I suppose you can go ahead and settle things with Cornel now.😁

I mean, what can I say? I had no clue you were gone. My sincerest apologies...

Okay, let's try not to get personal here. Honestly, I couldn't help but laugh at the claim that Nirvana is more original and influential than they actually are—well, I was mostly laughing at the "logic" behind that argument, if you know what I mean. I don't want anyone thinking I'm some kind of hater, because I'm really not; I actually think quite a few of their albums are fantastic.
I totally get it, though—you're a huge fan and it stings when people talk trash about your favorite band. But look, even though I personally enjoy the Dead Kennedys way more than The Birthday Party, I wouldn't dream of claiming that band is particularly original or influential, because, let's be real, they just aren't. 😉
Brian Foster2 said:As for who’s actually more interesting and original, I guess that recent poll here in the States settled it (ranking them as the #1 band), and then there was that IMPACT award Nirvana picked up about two years ago. It was specifically for their improvisation skills and song originality. 👍 😁

Meat Puppets, Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, Green River, Replacements, Sonic Youth, Butthole Surfers, Dinosaur Jr., Melvins, Pixies, Mudhoney, Alice in Chains, Pavement, Fugazi, Primus, Violet Femmes, Rage Against the Machine, Wilco, Beastie Boys...
I guess if I started listing all the heavy stuff now, everyone would be pretty stoked!

Everything there sounds awesome, really, but I'm wondering—why group those incredible bands together with Alice in Chains? 😬
boldeagle3 said:And who exactly is Journey 😕

I guess Journey is just living proof that Americans actually still remember some of the worst bands from the eighties.😁
Wait, where on earth did Hootie and the Blowfish disappear to?

Is this Jasmina? 🙂
By the way, Robin Booth, we've run into a bit of a snag—I won't be able to make it to the forum by the 12th. You might want to look into finding a backup...
