The Transporter film 3 (2008) 2/5 - TRAILER
Worst one in the franchise so far. Look, I get it—this isn't some deep masterpiece, and you shouldn't expect much more than mindless fun. Honestly, the nonsensical plot holes don't even bother me that much; that's just part of the charm of The Transporter film series. But they completely botched it with this forced romance subplot. It’s totally unbelievable and just plain annoying. The female lead is also super irritating; she can't act, and she's not even that hot. Statham is fine as usual, but he feels lost here, like they didn't know what to do with him. The whole "can't leave the vehicle" gimmick is actually a cool concept and leads to some decent moments. The villain is weak—anyone else could've played him better—and T-Bage was a total waste of screen time. Surprisingly, the action scenes were okay, though nothing special... I expected the fights to be edited faster with quick cuts so you couldn't see anything, but they weren't actually terrible. The only exception was that fight with the huge guy, which was edited poorly. Overall, there's barely enough action for a movie in this series... way too much time spent on that relationship drama. Also, it's ridiculous how the bad guys always seem to pop up right next to him, even though he's driving all over America. Like, why the hell is he driving from city to city just to run into them every five minutes? LOL.

Bottom line... it's below average and disappointing, with maybe a few fun bits here and there...
Check out the Direct Contact official site and the trailer they’ve got posted there... honestly, if you're into Dolph or just love loud, explosive DTV action, you'll dig this.

My Bloody Valentine 3D in Movies ·
Christian Baker5 said:Check this out.
I see an ad in the paper for "My Bloody Valentine 3D" and I figure, hey, at least it's 3D, let's go check it out.
So I show up with my girl and see people lining up, so I assume it's actually 3D.
I get to the counter and ask for the glasses, but the lady just laughs in my face and tells me "next!" -_-'
We finally get to the doors, and some girl rips our tickets... and all I can think is, "Great, am I even getting those glasses?"
I ask her what's going on, and she goes, "You know this isn't a 3D movie, right?"...
I was pissed.
Dosho sat down, started watching, and twenty minutes later I walked out...
That's pretty much all I've got to say about it.
As a movie, it's so bad that staring at a yellow wall would be more entertaining.

I bet they're showing two versions of the flick... the 3D one and this regular version... looks like you and your girl just stumbled into the wrong screening...🤷
The Punisher in Movies ·
The 2004 version of The Punisher just hit the shelves for $39.90... but seriously, don't bother picking this up unless you already own it. This is the "extended cut" supposed to run 133 minutes, which is about 17 minutes longer than the original 119-minute theatrical cut... which is fine by me. It's cool they released a longer version, but there's a catch. The back of the DVD case claims it comes loaded with extra features like:

So, they promise those extra 17 minutes, some animated fight sequences from Kuwait meant for the intro, a gallery of Marvel's The Punisher comics (though I bet it's just covers, not full issues), and a making-of documentary. But here's the kicker: when I popped the disc into my player, none of that stuff was actually on there. The only extras included are three trailers that aren't even mentioned on the cover... check out the photos of the back cover and the main menu for proof...

Bottom line... if you just want to watch the extended version of the movie, you're better off just renting it on digital rather than wasting money on this half-baked release.☕🙂
Quote: Halloween II (2009) in Movies ·
Since we’re apparently required to dump every single shot from the Rob Zombie's Halloween II set, here’s another one pulled directly from Zombie's blog. That’s Daniel Roebuck playing Lou Martini - The owner of The Rabbit in Red. Apparently, he's attending the 20th Haddonfield Pumpkin Bash, which honestly sounds like a fantastic place to get disemboweled.

Fixed it... just a little something...😁

Local review... not exactly glowing, but hey, it is what it is lol...

This poll is actually pretty important, Whatever😁

Whatever... personally, I’ve always been torn between The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West. Obviously, both are absolute masterpieces... but for me, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly takes the win. It's gotta be the Clint Eastwood factor, those three main characters, and just how much fun it is to watch. I mean, the gap between them is tiny, but there's still a difference...🙂

And a quick thought on a potential sequel...

“If there were to be a sequel I think it… well, I know that it would go to a really interesting place, because they already have the second script written.” When pressed for details, Chatwin revealed a little more about the direction of the celluloid version of the franchise. “It’s really, really cool. The second One goes more into The whole legacy and The genealogy of Dragonball. It goes more in-depth into a real Dragonball series , The kind of intergalactic World of Dragonball.”

darkmaker94 said:Based on the trailer, this looks pretty ridiculous (and where did an elevator in a cave that nobody’s ever survived come from? 🤷). Like some of you already mentioned, I’m definitely checking it out (can't wait for May 😁), but I'm not expecting anything groundbreaking.

If I remember right, there's an elevator in that little chapel where they find the second entrance... and whether anyone survived or not depends on which version you watched—the American cut or the British one.😉

Taylor Cook63 said:But honestly, what’s even the point of starting a whole new thread when there’s basically zero actual info out there about a sequel? You could've just easily dropped this into the existing unit discussion thread... 🤷

Why would I? First off, they're two separate movies, and mixing them is just stupid—all the info gets buried in one massive thread. Plus, we actually have enough to go on for a standalone topic... posters, teasers, the cast... more details will drop soon enough, just like any other movie. 😉

And honestly... I couldn't even find the thread for the first movie... so, yeah... why not.🤷
[Rec] 2 (2009) in Movies ·
The horror hit "[REC]" was easily one of the most acclaimed international films of 2007. It crushed it with critics and pulled in serious cash, too. In fact, it was such a massive success that Hollywood rushed out the remake—"Quarantine" just a year later. But the original creators didn't sit idle either; they jumped straight into making a sequel slated for release this year. We don't have much info on the project yet, other than the fact that the directing and writing duties are back in the hands of James Wan and Jordan Peele, with the rest of the crew (camera, editing, score) returning as well. We also know actress Manuela Velasco is reprising her role from the original. Plot details are still under wraps, and all we've got to go on are a teaser poster and two trailers. One might be a fake and tells you basically nothing, while the second one, which dropped recently, gives us a slightly better look and is honestly pretty atmospheric and creepy. Check it out for yourself at the link below...

So that’s not exactly a happy end, haha.👍

David Price5 said:There isn't even a return happening. They haven't even made it out of the cave yet, if we're looking at how the first movie ended.

Look, the movie picks up from the US ending where Juno or Sarah—I can't even remember which one—finally makes it outside... you didn't actually think she walked out like she did in the United Kingdom ending, did you?...

They're pulling an Aliens move here...
