The entire movie feels like it was condensed into the trailer; at least you get an idea of the action they’re offering.

Honestly, it was a total letdown. I was expecting some high-octane, fast-paced comedy, but by the end—nothing. Just a complete bust.

Found this recipe on a cooking blog. I wasn't sure if anyone here had posted it yet, but since we're talking about tuna, figured I'd drop it here:

HEALTHY TUNA PATTIES

1 egg
5 oz canned tuna
5 oz lean ground turkey
3-4 tablespoons oat bran
Salt, Lawry's Seasoned Salt, or parsley to taste

Beat the egg, then stir in the tuna, turkey, and oat bran. Keep mixing everything together until you get a uniform consistency. Toss in some salt, seasoning, or parsley if you want.

Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes.

Wet your hands to shape them into patties, then lay them out on parchment paper in a preheated oven. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes, or just until they look golden brown.

I served mine with mashed potatoes and cauliflower. This makes enough for maybe 6 or 7 decent-sized patties. 😁

Here’s one from yesterday:

A SLIGHTLY HEALTHIER PIZZA 😁

The Dough:

300g whole wheat flour
200g cornmeal
2 tsp salt
A pinch of brown sugar
1 packet of active dry yeast
1 tsp
3 tbsp water

If you're into that, feel free to toss in some oat bran!

First, get the yeast blooming for about 10-15 minutes (one packet of yeast + a pinch of sugar + roughly 3 tbsp of warm water). I usually just set mine near a radiator to keep it warm.
Once that's ready, mix the yeast mixture with the rest of the ingredients.

Let the dough rise for about 45 minutes (though it could be more or less depending on how you like it).

Grease a baking sheet with a bit of oil—or butter, whatever you have on hand—and flour it well because this dough is pretty sticky.

Then top it with:
- Tomatoes (canned crushed, fresh, tomato sauce—whatever works for you)
- 15 oz cheese (I used Gouda in the photo because others wanted it, but if it were up to me, I’d go with Mozzarella)
- 15 oz low-fat cottage cheese
- Tuna in brine
- Button mushrooms

Bake at 450°F for about 13-15 minutes. I actually pulled mine out after 8 or 9 minutes just to drain the liquid from the mushrooms before finishing.

Obviously, you can swap things out or adjust the amounts; I’ve been tweaking these lately to fit my own tastes and everyone else's. I didn't track the exact amount of tuna since I grabbed a large restaurant-sized can, but let's just say there was plenty of tuna. 🙂
This makes enough for one sheet pan, which yields about 6 decent slices (and by the way, they're delicious).

Lisa Gonzalez97 said:I'm not quite sure which specific boutique bakery this refers to, but I really feel the need to share my recent dessert experiences. Since I'm such a huge fan of sweets, I’ve made a habit of going on solo tasting missions—people tend to give me some pretty odd looks when I show up alone, but hey, what they don't know won't hurt them. My absolute worst experience, though, was at that one boutique cake shop over in Suburban Chicago. So, my dear and I headed there—this time 🙂, you know, by appointment—hoping to sample a few things, but goodness, they were slammed. We didn't want to just stand around waiting, especially since everyone who arrived after us seemed to jump ahead in line to grab boxes of treats for home. Anyway, we ended up buying about a pound of assorted pastries, but we didn't even get the little samples people usually receive during a tasting. To make matters worse, the pastries felt like they were at least three days old—zero flavor—and the absolute kicker? The Raffaello truffles were salty! I don't know if they changed the recipe or something, but I've tried them everywhere and I have never encountered a salty Raffaello before 😕 the peach pastry—which was hard as a rock and practically hollow—and those fruit pastries that were just soggy, mushy messes. The only thing remotely decent was the Canadian cream cake (it actually holds up better with age 🤣 )
I've tried places like Lido, local candy shops, Fancy Cake, and so on, and honestly, the local candy shop wins hands down. They might be a bit pricier, but they are worth every single cent 🙂
Everywhere else was incredibly friendly; the staff was super accommodating and easy to deal with. It was just that one boutique bakery that completely let me down 😢 (and that's saying something, considering I had three different recommendations for them...😉 )

Yeah, that's the one! I don't know, the guy absolutely loves peach pastries (those are his absolute favorite 🤣), and he said that specific one was delicious (just one 😁)... As for me, I ate all the Raffaello balls and they seemed fine to me. Maybe they could tweak the recipe a bit, but they definitely weren't salty 😁

I'm too tired to keep going 🙂

I set up a tasting for some desserts over the phone, and everyone assured me it was fine. We drove through the entire suburbs of Chicago—passing places like local bakeries and specialty shops—but didn't get a single bite of anything. It’s ridiculous. Half the dessert shops were empty, so nobody was there to finalize the deal, and they just told us to come back whenever the manager happened to be in. 🙂 🙂

So, we lost our cool and called a boutique cake and pastry shop in our neighborhood instead. The guy there actually whipped up a whole pound of treats for us on the spot 😲 and you know what? We ended up picking him. Not only is he better, but he's also cheaper than those other places ($23 including the assembly and delivery)

Can we just show up and sample some of the cookies?🤔

Do I need to call ahead and order, or can we just swing by and ask to try whatever you've got on the menu?😁 How does it work?

James Cox6 said:Actually, a mother of four wrote that to me right here on this forum—about three months after I suffered a stillbirth during one of these online discussions..
She told me I clearly deserved to lose my baby in the third trimester and that God knows who He chooses to bless with children.
It was a long time ago—three years back—but whenever those words cross my mind, I get chills. Even today, it honestly gives me chills..😢

😢

I remember when there was an announcement posted all over the site and in every single PDF thread to raise money for a little girl’s medical treatment. Her photos were up there too; I think one of the users might have even been her 🤷

I was keeping an eye on the classifieds section when the notice was pinned, and I was honestly stunned by how people were reacting in the comments. This mother, who had several kids, kept posting that raising money was pointless—that if it's part of God's plan to take the child, then why bother trying to save her? And she wrote it with such cold indifference.. It was disgusting, acting like nobody should interfere. She even went as far as saying if it were her own child, she wouldn't lift a finger because everything is just in God's hands.
Later that week, some stricter rules were implemented, and a few women publicly complained that the thread violated the guidelines and shouldn't have been in the classifieds in the first place. After a couple of days, the thread was shut down. Sadly, the little girl passed away shortly after.

I truly don't understand what drives someone to write something like that. If you don't have anything constructive to say or if you lack basic empathy, just skip the thread. Things like that aren't just sad; they're repulsive.
Jonathan Grant2 said:Honestly, I’m just kicking myself because I feel so incredibly naive. I try so hard to be fair and accommodate everyone, but I end up just catering to a bunch of ungrateful, spoiled brats😠😠
It’s infuriating because I can never seem to find the backbone to actually confront them and tell them exactly where they stand😠
I’ll spend all this time mentally rehearsing what I want to say, getting everything perfectly lined up in my head, but the second I’m standing right in front of them, I just freeze up and can't get a single word out🤷
I am seriously at my breaking point with this whole situation. My husband is barely even around because he’s working himself to death at some other job just to make sure we have enough cushion to quit, and he has to grind through it until the end of summer (it sounds silly, but when we first jumped into this business, we had no clue if the revenue would actually let him walk away from his old gig). Meanwhile, my clueless servers are basically doing whatever the hell they want because I’m too much of a pushover to call them out. So then I’m stuck waiting for my husband to get home so he can deal with them, but sometimes things need to be handled right now, not three hours later
Like, the other day one of my waiters asks me if he can head out early because his wife drove all the way from out of town to see him and he hasn't seen her in days. I desperately wanted to tell him "no," mostly because I was thinking how I wish my own husband could just catch the last flight home to be with me, but he's got a boss who would absolutely lose his mind if he even dared to ask for an early exit🙄
I know deep down that I'm the one responsible for this mess, and I know nobody is going to swoop in and fix it for me—it has to come from within😢

I totally get it. I'm dealing with something similar (though my mom keeps telling me I'd be a total powerhouse if I actually had some grit)☕. My boyfriend runs a company, and we work together setting up high-end gallery exhibits. We have a crew for the installations, and about a year ago, he hired a buddy from his old neighborhood. I told him straight up it was a bad move, but he wanted to help the guy out with some cash. Well, big mistake. This guy is incredibly laid back—which is just code for lazy. He doesn't listen, doesn't care, and treats everything like a joke. They’re supposed to be at an installation first thing in the morning, and this guy will sleep through his alarm three days in a row. Then he shows up an hour late, leaving my boyfriend stranded on the side of the road waiting in the van. We gave him a company phone with unlimited minutes to reach us, but then his charger "disappears" at home and he goes radio silent all weekend right when we need to coordinate Monday's schedule. He just gives my boyfriend the usual "man, I'll deal with it" excuses.🤣

The problem is, these guys don't know when to shut up, especially the "dear" ones. Work should be the priority, but he keeps leaning on me, asking if we should fire him. What am I supposed to say? On one hand, I feel for him because I know his finances are tight, but on the other hand, the business is suffering, and since we live off this, our lives are suffering too. A week ago, I told him I'm done participating in these discussions—especially during Sunday lunch when the whole family is gathered and they start picking on the guy.🙄 I told him to handle it himself; I can't do it. It would be the same if we had an employee at a corner grocery store.🤷

Anthony Watson35 said:My morning’s been a total shitshow—sorry for the language—but what’s really getting under my skin is this whole Bambie’s Mom Syndrome thing. MAGA will know exactly what I’m talking about, and for everyone else... well, look it up if you need to.

Tell me about it! 😛
Oh, it definitely happens! 😁

A few years back, I was doing something pretty similar. We were cold-calling people and baiting them into these big presentations—you know, selling mattresses, pillows, and all that junk. We used every trick in the book... 😂 The whole point was to lure them in with the promise of some "free gift," only to subject them to three hours of pure brainwashing!

And let me tell you, we met all kinds of people... 🤣

But honestly? For us girls working in the studio, it was actually a blast! 🙂
Jason Lee2 said:I’m with you on this...
My skin crawled when I saw a tabloid running an "exclusive" feature: Antonia Kalako's private diary... all this talk about poverty and hope and whatever else. You just know those parents probably GIFTED them that diary to the paper, didn't they? (Maybe then they won't be so broke anymore. Honestly, you really have to specify in your will that if anything happens to you, your journals should be burned, not sold to the press.)

*Mental note: dig through the old boxes, find my high school diaries, and torch them. Nobody cares about them now, but better safe than sorry...

I was honestly a bit stunned by that. Look, I get it—they’re asking for help finding their missing daughter. They’re being a little more intense about it, and I guess that’s why they’ve stirred up way more public outcry than other parents dealing with missing kids, which seems fair to me. But then the scene cuts away, and suddenly we’re looking at Antonia Maša's mother complaining about unpaid bills. Now she’s asking for financial aid to cover her expenses and fix her roof, claiming she's living in total poverty. It's a strange pivot. 🤷

That was a bit tacky of you. 😲

So, a little bit about me...

I ended up heading to the bathroom three times tonight. 😠 The last time it hit at 5:15 AM, and of course, I didn't stand a chance at getting back to sleep. Now I’m just lying here, unable to drift off because my back starts absolutely killing me the second I hit the mattress. 😠Finally, I managed to catch a little sleep around 6:00 AM, only to be jolted awake minutes later by my "beloved" dog in the living room. He’s acting like an absolute idiot, repeatedly lunging at the window. He doesn't even know how to jump properly—he just charges from the far side of the room, slips on the hardwood, and sends his claws screeching against the floor. Then he stares out for maybe three seconds before jumping back up, then down, then up again, just stuck in this mindless loop. The reason he’s losing his mind at the glass is because that little menace managed to knock the blinds out of position, and I couldn't get them pulled back up. 🙂I told him ten different times to pull them in so I could finally close the blinds. I don't need this idiot staring right through the window while we're trying to sleep! 😠

I dragged myself out of bed at 7:00 AM—after spending a solid hour just sitting there, fuming and spiraling. I stumbled into the living room and pushed myself through whatever workout I had planned with everything I had left in the tank. Honestly, I think I was just too pissed off to fail. That sheer irritation actually got me through it. 🙄 I pull them shut, slide them down, and he just looks at me and goes, "Alright, we're moving. Now pull the blinds up so he can see through the window!" I’m standing there fuming, telling him absolutely not, and he just hits back with, "Fine, then I will!"

I told him straight up—I haven't slept a wink. I’ve been wide awake since 5:15 this morning. And honestly, I feel like I've already told you ten different times to just pull the blinds shut!

Then he hits me with that: "You're lying, you haven't told me a single thing!!" 😠

Ugh, seriously? I couldn't even catch a nap on Saturday afternoon because of this. He just headed downstairs to "tidy up" the car for a bit, but instead of taking the dog with him, he left the little brat at home to sit there and stare at me through the window!
Sunday morning!
Yesterday afternoon and then again this morning! And now he’s actually having the nerve to claim I didn't say anything to him. I distinctly remember telling him everything—I even told him I tried to pull the blinds back down but they were stuck.

I had to storm off to the bathroom just to clear my head because I was so livid I practically forgot my own name. And all I could hear through the door was him whining and complaining. It wasn’t even just that—I told him a thousand times to just leave me alone. I told him straight up: I’m not talking, I’m not looking at you, and there is zero communication happening right now. Plus, it’s early in the morning! Who wants to deal with this crap first thing? But no, he wouldn't stop until I finally snapped and slammed my sandwich into the chair. Honestly, I was just so on edge, I hit my breaking point. 😢

I’m rolling my way toward work, just cruising along, when he hits me with that grin—you know the one, stretching from ear to ear. And then the constant teasing starts... "Come on, just give me a smile! I know you want to! I know you're holding it back!" Honestly, I hate it. It’s some new little tactic he’s trying out, and frankly, it’s driving me up the wall.

🙂

You’re really asking me that when I’m already eight months pregnant?? My hair practically stood on end...

Maybe he just meant is the baby active, you know, kicking hard and moving around and all that.. 🤔

At least that would have been my first thought.. 🙂

Jonathan Grant2 said:Honestly, it’s been driving me absolutely insane lately how nobody seems to take me seriously as a pregnant woman... or honestly, just as a person at all. Like, my servers at the restaurant treat me more like one of the gang than the actual boss. I’ll tell them fifteen different times to switch up the playlist—or I'll just go ahead and do it myself—but fifteen minutes later, they’re right back to their old habits. And then you’ve got these older folks sitting out on the patio, trying to enjoy themselves, while the music is just thumping away like crazy. It’s so disrespectful. I’ll ask them to go clean the restrooms, and instead, they just sit there and light up a cigarette.😠
Look, I’m not really the type of person who wants to go around barking orders and playing drill sergeant just to keep order, but if I’m the one paying your wages, and I’m being fair to you by giving you perks that literally no other boss would ever dream of allowing, then for heaven's sake, just put in some effort.🙄
Just yesterday, this waitress was opening up the cafe in the morning, and I sat down at the counter for a second just to clear my head and catch my breath, and she actually sits right down next to me and asks me to make *her* a coffee.😲

😁 😁

I feel the same way sometimes. I'll start yelling, "I'm pregnant!" just to get someone to bring me this or that, basically just to remind them in case they forgot. 😬

Honestly, being pregnant has become my excuse for everything 😁

But what gets on my nerves most is the constant peeing. Getting up twice a night because of it, the waking up... I hate going to the bathroom! 😠

God forbid I go overboard on watermelon in the evening (since I absolutely love it), then I'd probably need a cup right next to my bed.

Yesterday I polished off over 4 pounds of watermelon, and today I only had to get up three times. 🙂

copperstag95 said:I should also offer some praise for the film itself, as it was truly excellent and maintained such a gripping tension right until the very end, though I suppose I might have preferred if they had cut out a few of those unnecessary scenes—those who have actually seen it will know exactly what I mean, specifically regarding all that gratuitous posturing and displays of masculinity, which felt completely pointless; the actual plot was more than enough on its own without all that, and frankly, it was just... ugh, gross.

My rating is 9/10.

That caught me off guard too, how nonchalantly they portrayed everything 😁 But in a good way, though I did find it a bit 😲 😁 I'm not a fan of censorship...

Hannah Green2 said:I fully expected a subpar sequel, and after reading several comments on this forum as well as hearing feedback from my own circle of friends, I have firmly decided that I will not be watching this film. Is there any truth to the rumor that there are scenes involving a monkey performing oral sex on someone, or vice versa? 👎

I am placing this film on my permanent shelf of things I will never bother watching. Joining it there are SALT, Fast & Furious 5, Shot em up 2, Jumper, Death Race 2, Bruno, Narnia, and the entire Harry Potter series as well.

I tend to stick primarily to the older films.

That's a bit of a silly question since you actually have to watch the movie to know. Honestly, I think you're missing out on plenty of decent films just out of pure spite (Jumper, Narnia...) But hey, it's your call.😉

I actually watched it yesterday! 👋 😍

Honestly, I would’ve been pretty disappointed if they hadn't kept that whole hangover vibe going, especially since that's literally what the title is about. The Hangover 😁, you know? It doesn't follow the exact same script as the first one, though. The jokes were solid as usual. 👍

The only thing for me was that the kid, Teddy, felt a little off with his acting... that's my only real gripe. The ending was great, just like always. 👍 👍
neontiger18 said:I bought a phone from someone on Craigslist. He was shipping it via COD, so the plan was simple: the mail carrier drops off the package, I hand over the cash right then and there, and we’re done. But now, two weeks later, the guy calls me up claiming he doesn't have the money. What am I supposed to do now? 😁

I don't recall the exact specifics of how COD works—other than the fact that waiting for the funds can be a massive headache. Honestly, both of you should just head down to the local Post Office with all your receipts and tracking info. Figure out where the holdup is; they should be able to tell you exactly what's going on.
Donna Brooks83 said:I have a question, and I hope I’m not totally off-topic here, but I wasn't sure where else to post this. Basically, I sold an item to another user on here. I packed it up and shipped it from Washington, D.C. to Sacramento on January 25th. The buyer still hasn't received it. She went silent for a few days, then finally messaged me just to say it hasn't arrived yet. I went down to the USPS office with my receipt, and the clerk told me the package was sent to Sacramento and is officially there—meaning once it's in their system, it's out of my hands. I don't know what to do. Since she hasn't received it, I suggested she check with her local post office, but whether she actually did or not, I have no clue. How do we resolve this? The amount is $50, and honestly, I really don't want to deal with a refund because I was counting on that money, and I know she doesn't want to lose hers either. Any advice? 🙂

Look, if she doesn't want to go to the post office, that's her problem. You fulfilled your end of the deal. At least that's what I would do. If the package ends up being returned to you, just make her pay for the shipping again if you decide to resend it.

Olivia Nelson37 said:I think I might be one of the rare cases where this happened to me. I actually had to go into the post office and pay $1.75 extra for shipping because I showed up after 5 PM—that was their excuse for why I had to pay more 🙄 (even though the sign clearly said after 5 PM...) I didn't feel like getting into a fight with the clerk, so I just paid it... grrrrrrrrr

🤣 🤣

🤮 They are absolutely awful!
vividcobra3 said:Here’s what I want to know—
if I ship a package and pay over $18$1.75 in shipping fees, what happens if the mail carrier shows up at the recipient's place and nobody is home? They leave one of those yellow slips and the person has to trek down to the post office to deal with it. Who gets to keep that extra $1.75?!?!?
I mean, they have working hours just like the rest of us. Most people are stuck at their jobs when the mail arrives—they should realize from the jump that working people aren't going to be sitting around the house waiting for deliveries all morning! Only stay-at-home moms or people on maternity leave are hanging around waiting for packages during the day! 😍

And can we actually trust the carrier? Did they really try to deliver the package, or did they just drop a slip in the box without knocking? This has happened to me more than once—I'm sitting at home, waiting for my delivery, then around 2 PM I check the tracking and it says they tried to reach me at 11 AM. They clearly had no idea I was right here, just looking for an excuse to skip the work. Is this just straight-up fraud and theft$1.75?!? 😂

What does the clerk at the local post office have to say about all this?

I don't think it's 5, it's probably 2. I had some old ladies at my local branch scamming me for ages, charging me $5.00 for a package sent within the same city instead of the actual $10 or so. It wasn't until I went to a different branch later that I found out it only cost $3.25.
Chloe Moore65 said:The lady at the USPS told me everyone can just pay the standard shipping from $6.00 if they pick the package up themselves. But if you want it delivered straight to your door, you’ve got to pay $6.75, assuming they even have delivery services in your area.

That’s exactly what they told me too! I was sending a little package yesterday, and if I had known, I would have sent it via certified mail. I had exactly $5.00 in my hand, stepped out of the car, walked into the post office, and the clerk tells me $6.00.

And me: 😕 😕 😕 😕

I ended up digging through my entire bag, my wallet, and my jacket just trying to find $1.00! 🤦 And there’s a line of people forming right behind me. 😳

Then she goes on to tell me the recipient can just pick it up at the post office, but if they want it brought to their house, it costs more. 👎

Total disaster.

Is there a way to check the rates for certified mail on the USPS website? Like, can you just plug in the destination zip code and the weight to see the total cost? 🙂 Their prices are killer—who is actually going to shell out almost $6.75 for shipping?! (And that’s assuming they actually do their jobs correctly...)

EDIT: Just found this link . So is that really the price I'd be paying at the counter? For example, a certified package under 100 grams is 10, $27? Does it matter if it's going from Seattle to Seattle, or like, Seattle to San Diego or Key West? Is it all the same rate?

And what does
mean?
Also, does anyone know about the shipment status?
