I’m asking for a temporary hiatus on the PDF football threads while the European Championship is going on. It’s not about avoiding any comments or anything, just so I can actually enjoy reading without being constantly distracted by the hype.

As a little peace offering, I think I’ve been pretty decent and easygoing on the forums lately.

So, until this thread actually blew up, the only issue was the controversial name. I mean, the guy was literally told to find a better handle "and everything will be okay," and as far as I recall, it wasn't exactly declared a "day kindness to troll."

We're just spinning our wheels here. They didn't even get banned immediately just for trolling, otherwise a permaban would have looked weird. If they had, everyone on the PŽK would have lost their minds over a cloned Marshall with like three posts... 😁(just kidding). The combo of the username and the actual posts made it obvious what the goal was, so removing that shady handle from Politics was the right call by the mods.

Look, if I’m being totally real with you, I wasn't exactly expecting a genius breakdown from your side anyway, since you don't even really get why he got Banned.

I’m honestly a little lost here. Did the Marshall Party get Banned because of the username or was it a clone issue? I could really use some clarification.

I don't really want to dwell on it, but honestly, those arguments are pretty weak if you ask me. Plus, according to what Uncle Strile said, he was banned for ideological reasons, whereas I got hit with a ban over some non-existent clone account.

There’ve been plenty of cases like this before, nothing flashy, like I said. The arguments have already been laid out right here in this thread multiple times... I still think my point stands: you're just bored. As soon as you find some other "mistake" by the mods, you'll move on to that. 😉

Actually, that's just not how it went down. If you look at the inquiry made by the banned user

and then, when the user keeps pushing back, the Admin drops this reply

So yeah, looking at the evidence, it's pretty obvious the ban was purely ideological.

What is this even supposed to mean!? Did I get banned back in the day just because my username was some variation of Marshall's party? And I got hit with a full 7 days for it. So now, even though everyone knows it wasn't actually me, I'm getting penalized for the name all over again... if that's the case, then what on earth was my actual reason for being suspended for those 7 days in the first place???
