Here's my take.

1. The post I don't think warrants a ban:

I'm asking you to reconsider and pull the strike on this one.

And here's the other one:

Just hoping some common sense kicks in and you'll clear these strikes.

P.S. Is it really that hard to play fair as an admin, Nice?

Thanks

I’m dropping this formal complaint about the boxes here, since you already went ahead and grabbed a bunch of my stock on the other thread.

Sean Fox60 said:If you honestly believe April 10, 1941, was the absolute lowest point in our nation's history, then you’ve got it all wrong! The darkest day for the American people was actually June 22, 1941. That was when the communists, led by Josip Broz, kicked off a full-blown civil war and started slaughtering Americans right on our own soil within the Axis-aligned state! I can see the direct consequences of that right in front of me—I've got a list here of 84 defenders of the Axis-aligned state and several partisans from my own hometown. We're talking about kids, most of them under 30!
I really think this year we should take those survivors who are still around and send them to Auschwitz, Wounded Knee, and then Stalingrad to lay wreaths together, just so we ensure this never happens again. A pozdeav to the partisans, their kids, and their grandkids, and also to the sons of the soldiers who were there at Wounded Knee and walked the Way of the Cross!

I’m with you on that, but I don't really get why Stalingrad is even in the mix when the blame lies squarely with the insurgents and, by extension, the top brass of the administration back then.

Why not dive into some close politics? It’d be interesting to dig into the darkest chapters of our history and see who actually still champions those cruel, anti-human movements from back in the day.

By saying that, you've pretty much admitted that none of the current threads can actually handle this topic, and that it really deserves its own standalone space.

Why hasn't anyone even touched on this question yet!?

The conflict is mutual, so they deserve a shared topic.

What's the big deal with deleting posts that have nothing to do with the actual complaint? And honestly, I highly doubt anyone has actually pulled something like that.

It’s 2012, the Mayan apocalypse is basically knocking on the door, so everything’s about to reset anyway.
I don't really see the point in obsessing over the old days of Yugoslavia; America finally got its independence, maybe we should focus on actually living our lives instead.

History shouldn't be the main thing people talk about in politics.

Not that we're blind to what's happening... back in the old days, America actually felt free, but now we're so heavily occupied that even Jesus Christ couldn't bail us out at this point.

Sorry for going off-topic.
Sam Green73 said:If you actually bother to read this thread from the top, you’ll see how the American intelligence agencies were basically just rebranded versions of the old Yugoslavian ones for a while. It looks like the whole system was just built right on top of the old stuff.

Personally, I dig this title better because it doesn't immediately trigger those people obsessed with the old regime, but it definitely catches the eye of anyone actually interested in the gritty details of intelligence work.

What’s so bad about being nostalgic for the old days?

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Who says you aren't? You definitely are. Your ban count is identical on both subforums. Only difference is now we’re just talking about football.

Nah, it's more like you guys just have it out for me. I don't mean that literally, it's just that I get flagged out of habit—sometimes when I actually deserve it (which is rare), but way more often when I don't (which happens a lot).

Ryan Vaughn7 said:Yeah, I’ll give you that—you’re a total legend, but he really isn't. By the way, that soccer partial betting play I mentioned to you a few months back? It's back on the table.

And then people still wonder why I even bothered starting this thread.

If I'm such a massive legend when it comes to soccer, how come that doesn't carry over to politics?

Either I'm the man or I'm not. Period.

So you're basically admitting there's a level playing field issue here?

Nicholas King said:your original question was just asking why I got flagged for a post that didn't deserve it, and you only started playing the "if I'm getting punished, then he should be too" card after the fact.

It's because when I asked my first question, the response I got was basically saying I deserved it, which is why I followed up by asking why the other guy wasn't getting treated the same way.

I know that’s probably not really your department anyway, but it’s definitely relevant to Mick Jagger—assuming he even knows what's going on.

Nicholas King said:This doesn't really have anything to do with the thread "Do we actually need a banned users corner?" 🙂

Look:

- The KGB is basically the only spot where banned guys can get a word in; they can't send PMs, they can't post anywhere else—so, we need this space just so people don't feel like they've been silenced without any way to appeal;

- "...it's pretty easy to scrub you from both the banned corner and the main board, leaving you zero chance to call out similar situations..." sounds like a threat, sure—but that doesn't exactly "strengthen your argument," does it? 🙂;

- You asked a question, and you got a polite answer. No mocking, no sarcasm, no insults. Your little gripe about whether "anyone ever actually gets a card?" is the issue here—because yeah, they do, more than once. Just because you haven't been hit with one, and you think it should have happened, doesn't change the reality of it;

- I don't follow soccer, but from what I gather, you're acting like a typical Los Angeles local diving headfirst into Lakers territory and dropping comments that land you right in the doghouse. The real question is: what's the point in stubbornly repeating that kind of behavior, especially when you already know it's going to end with a red card?

Seems like you've done your homework on my situation, so maybe you can tell me why forum user jebateled hasn't been banned like I was? Or maybe he didn't deserve it, which would mean I didn't either.

As for the actual topic, personally, I think a dedicated spot is necessary, even if I've never actually had a reason to use it myself.

Never happened for me, though if it ever had to be done, it would've been on my dime.
And you're telling me that isn't part of this discussion?

I started this thread because I couldn't get a straight answer in the BANNED USERS CORNER about why I’m the only one getting slapped with a warning when it was a two-way street on that other topic.

And honestly, how many times have anyone's appeals actually been granted lately?

Clear enough now?

loneraven25 said:...I wasn't making any threats, I was just laying out how you could steer clear of the KGB...
...but honestly, the insult here is you suggesting I should be understanding or looking down on people...
...being a mod isn't some kind of VIP pass,
and since I can't even put anyone on ignore right now...
...starting a thread like this feels like textbook trolling to me...
...there’s no such thing as an unfair ban; it's all just a math equation based on warnings,
basically, you get cautioned, and if you keep acting up, you deal with the consequences.

So, my whole point is that I'm complaining about these warnings, but what's the use of sending points toward the KGB when it doesn't actually accomplish anything? When I try to make a case that I've been flagged unfairly—just like any other user who hasn't been flagged—pointing out a mistake doesn't seem to matter. It's useless. What's even the point of having that damn corner at all?!

loneraven25 said:...where exactly in my post is there a threat?..

"...you can be easily wiped from the Ban Hammer and the platform,
so you won't have the chance to witness similar cases anymore..."

That’s a threat.

So go ahead, explain to me how I'm supposed to appeal an unfair ban if you just hand out punishments without any recourse?
