Yeah, well, what can I say? I actually wrote an essay on Hell based on that movie which ended up getting me into Yale, so I still get that same vibe from it. 🥱

This movie is pure fantasy. It’s shot beautifully—honestly, I’m kind of obsessed. I knew I was in for something decent, but I didn't think it would hit this hard. 😍
I see people complaining about it being all style and no substance, but I don't really buy that. The visuals tell their own story, and they leave you with this feeling that just sticks with you for days.
Personally, it gives me major A Clockwork Orange vibes.
And the soundtrack? Totally mindblowing.
I think I might actually watch it again later today. 😁

I’d been looking forward to this horror flick for ages, but man, what a letdown. As soon as things started getting weird, I was thinking, *ALIENS* 😁
But I was really hoping it wouldn't actually go down that path. I thought it would be more of a psychological thriller—you know, exploring how newlyweds actually get to know each other through those dark, messy interpersonal dynamics. Like, do we really know the people we love? But once the husband started pulling an alien (whatever that even was) out of his wife, I was pretty much done. The movie is confusing, but not in a good way. It’s just... stupidly confusing. For instance, the wife tells her husband a million times—after he catches her digging around in a pool of blood in the bathroom—that she absolutely has to go to the bedroom. Okay, fine, I guess something major must be happening there. So they go to the room. And then... nothing. There are so many scenes where a character insists on doing something for no apparent reason, and then nothing happens. I don't get it. Just empty filler and wasted time.

The acting wasn't really my thing either. They just didn't feel real to me, I guess.
I wouldn't say the movie is garbage, but considering what I was expecting, it felt pretty mid.

The one saving grace is the creepy atmosphere, which they built up really well. Honestly, if I hadn't seen the ending, I might have thought it was a much better film.

Fun horror flick, perfect if you just want to switch your brain off for a bit.
After seeing all those terrible reviews, I was pretty torn about whether to give it a shot, but honestly, no regrets.
It’s got everything a decent horror needs. I’m usually not a big fan of horror-comedies, but the humor in this one feels really natural and charming.

Anyway, it’s just an unpretentious, low-budget, easy watch. Definitely recommend.

Charlize Theron deserves way better than this. It’s not a total disaster, but it's just... meh.

It was pretty cool seeing Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult together again after Mad Max.
I haven't read the book, but the movie feels way too long for the story it's actually telling (it drags on for almost two hours). I don't know, the whole setup with the struggling mom (Christina Hendricks) almost feels a bit much—like, her luck is so consistently terrible it's almost funny. She's basically broke, raising four kids while dealing with a drunk husband who steals the money she's trying to save for her son's defense; she even skipped college because she had to stay behind to run the family farm. She's a complete wreck, physically and mentally, and SPOILER!—the entire plot kicks off because she decides to hire a hitman to kill her so her kids can collect the life insurance. But obviously, everything goes sideways, and two of her daughters end up dying that same night. Like, the sheer amount of bad luck here is just too damn high.

Overall, it's boring in spots, kind of hard to believe sometimes, and the pacing is just slow and drawn out...

What on earth did they do to Ted??? 🙂

The first movie was honestly amazing. I was laughing my head off, quoting lines for months afterward, and sticking up for him whenever people called the character stupid. I even recommended it to anyone looking for a solid comedy. I was such a huge Ted fan!

But this... this is hands down the biggest pile of trash I’ve ever sat through. I never thought a movie—especially a sequel to Ted—could be this brainless!
Everything feels fine enough until that lawyer character shows up (for the first 15 minutes or so, it was actually funny). After that, it’s just a straight slide into total garbage.

I waited so long for this one. I'm just so disappointed. And btw, this is literally the first movie in my life that actually made me fall asleep. I have no clue how it ends. Honestly, I don't even care.

Flower, Nothing, Snow, Far Away, New Hope, I'm Dancing Alone, Circles and Smiles, Big Heart—those are the tracks that jumped out at me on the first listen. I haven't checked out their older stuff, so I can't really compare, but this band definitely seems to have some serious potential!

Snow completely won me over right away; I actually went out and bought the CD because of it. It started snowing for the first time while I was driving and listening to that track, and man, it just hit me immediately. Lines like "Tim was left alone" or "Someone like us was here"—kind of reminds me of those classic cosmic rock vibes? Maybe an homage to Ujević.🙂 I am honestly obsessed with that song.

Far Away is also great. It's got that sort of girl power vibe. 🙂

So, judging by how things are looking, my OB-GYN is probably going to put me on birth control because of my PCOS.
Two of my friends, who both graduated with pharmacy degrees, are seriously trying to talk me out of it. They’re telling me that, according to some professor they had back in school, it’s basically the second most aggressive thing you can do to your body after chemo. One of them was on Diane, and her hair started falling out like crazy—she actually had bald spots the size of a $1.75 coin all over her head.
On the flip side, this PCOS stuff has been messing with me since I was 18, maybe even earlier, but that was the first time I actually went in for a checkup (I'm 25 now). My cycle can drag on for like 50 days sometimes. And the PMS? It can last up to two weeks. Things actually stabilized a bit last year, but now everything is right back to where it started. At my last appointment last week, the doctor told me one ovary is covered in cysts while the other looks relatively fine, and she wants me to come back on day 4 or 5 of my next period. I have a feeling she’s just going to tell me to start the pill then. I honestly don't know what to do. I'm in a massive dilemma...

I guess they’re just conditioned to deal with rejection from pretty much day one. It becomes this weirdly comfortable pattern for them, you know? Like, it’s what they expect. So, naturally, they gravitate toward people who operate on that same wavelength—people who are distant, cold, or just plain hard to reach. Anyone else who’s actually available and emotionally healthy? They just don't see the appeal. Honestly, there’s no point trying to fix them or offering a bunch of care and support. People like this? They mostly just want to feel needed.

I’m not about to just give up on my life goals or anything, but I guess I’m always down for some minor lifestyle tweaks—you know, little ways to make things easier, better, or just a bit more polished.

I mean, if you decide to treat life like some kind of endless battle, then yeah, it’s gonna feel like one. But maybe it could also be more like an ice rink—one where the people you love have your back, and you've got them too, and the universe just sort of looks out for you.
It really just comes down to how you see things, I guess.
