Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I have a rather silly question to pose... 😬
Is there actually any glimmer of hope for getting rid of this cellulite? It seems to have arrived as an uninvited gift along with my Yasmin prescription (I used to have almost none, if we’re being honest)😳 😁
For starters, I’ve switched over to Logest, but the cellulite isn't budging even an inch...

I honestly cannot wrap my head around the fact that your OB-GYN hasn't even suggested a basic blood panel yet—especially since you're on birth control. Like, are you kidding me? That is just absolute madness.div>

From what I can gather, doctors who actually bother to order blood tests are few and far between... it’s just ridiculous...
I’ve cycled through five different gynecologists so far, and not a single one of them has proactively told me to get my blood checked. In every single case, I’ve had to be the one to bring it up myself... 🙄
Look, I actually have the exact opposite situation. I was dealing with those constant, nagging headaches while on Yasmin, but once I switched over to Logest, everything finally settled down. I’m feeling perfectly fine now.
God forbid I actually ask my gynecologist to explain why these headaches are happening, how much of a danger they actually pose, or why on earth I was prescribed Logest of all things... I’ll just end up having to hunt down a brand-new doctor all over again. Honestly, I can't even remember if I've seen any of them more than twice.
It looks like I’ve managed to secure myself a five-day stretch...

Good grief. 🙂

Honestly, my favorite part about those little bead packets is the "DO NOT EAT" warning printed on them. It’s such a joke—as if I’d ever mistake those things for a snack or try to munch on something I just found at the bottom of my shoe. Seriously, who are they trying to protect? 😬

Exactly, those silica packets are there to soak up all that moisture...
Otherwise, you’d end up with shoes that are completely flattened, much like my own pair after a long day... 😁

Taylor Howard36 said:I remember back in high school, I actually had the nerve to ask my doctor—you know, one of those blunt ones—why my levels were running so high. She just looked at me and goes, "Well, honey, that’s what people with diabetes or chronic alcoholism deal with." 😕

And obviously—and I mean, let's be real here—I am neither a diabetic nor an alcoholic.

I actually had an even more "talented" physician once, who essentially "explained" away every single one of my symptoms and test results by insisting nothing was wrong... 😍 Fast forward a bit, and because of that supposed "nothing," I ended up hospitalized for an entire month... Needless to say, she didn't see me again after that.

28. 😍

Last year, my dermatologist prescribed nothing but Skinoren and some topical liquid—Erythromycin for my face (which, frankly, smells absolutely atrocious at 3 p.m.). I actually asked her if I should be on Accutane, and she just brushed it off, claiming I’d need to go see Ginićka first...
To be perfectly honest, Ginićka wasn't just unpleasant; she was downright rude, and she somehow took offense to me even mentioning facial hair. On top of that, she didn't even give me a proper exam before deciding everything was perfectly fine... 😍
In the end, I did manage to get the Accutane, but as I mentioned, the whole ordeal was pretty much useless... except for the fact that I managed to annoy my doctors... 😬

I've finally tracked down some new doctors, so I'm heading back to square one... 😉

crimsonhound28 said:I’m starting Diane soon, and honestly, I’m terrified of what my skin is going to look like once I'm done with them. 😲
Based on what you ladies are sharing here, I'm getting cold feet before even starting because I really don't want to be on them for long (especially since I'm planning to get pregnant soon).
Did anyone else find their skin actually got worse after Diane, or did it just settle back to whatever state it was in beforehand? 😕

For me, nothing changed—my skin stayed pretty much the same before, during, and after Diane... 😬

Actually, looking back, I have a feeling those birth control pills were the culprit behind my acne. Before I ever touched them, my skin was absolutely flawless. I was on them for five years, and after my first extended break (I'd had two short three-month breaks in between where nothing happened), my face just completely broke out...
Then again, maybe it was just pure stress. Everything seemed to hit the fan all at once during that specific month, which obviously took its toll on me, and ever since then, the stress just seems to pile up. 😢

Here goes nothing... 😬
I never had a single breakout in my life until a few years ago when acne decided to show up out of nowhere at age 25. Since then, it’s been an absolute nightmare trying to get rid of it. I’ve been through the wringer: seeing dermatologists, visiting specialists, getting professional facials, taking Diane, slathering on Skinoren, using jojoba oil... eventually, I just threw in the towel and tried letting my skin breathe, thinking maybe less was more. Spoiler alert: absolutely nothing worked. Not a damn thing. 😠
My skin actually cleared up a little while I was on vacation down in Florida, but ever since I got back home, my face has basically exploded, and my back and chest aren't faring any better...
Recently, I started using some Merz Special because a friend swore by it, so I figured, why not? But honestly, I’m not seeing any real difference yet. 😳
I’m heading back to the doctor this week, so fingers crossed they can actually figure out what the hell is going on...
Anonymous said:What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep? I’m talking about those marathons fueled by deadlines, a massive workload, endless errands, or just getting totally lost in a hobby. Have you ever hit that point where your body is screaming for rest, but your brain refuses to quit? Your eyes feel like lead, yet there's still so much left to get done. It’s happened to me plenty of times, and I already know it’s terrible for you—you eventually have to pay that energy debt back, which honestly sucks—but somehow, you can push through and act like you actually got your full eight hours. How many hours of shut-eye do you guys usually get, and do you feel completely wrecked when you miss your usual routine? How do you even function? Obviously, you make up for it later, but when you’re deep in the zone (and I don't mean just hanging out on this forum😬), does it even make sense to stop and sleep? 😛

My absolute record was staying awake for over three days and four nights straight... all thanks to finals week at college. It was basically a choice between pulling an all-nighter or failing the entire year, and honestly, a few sleepless days seemed like a better deal than repeating a grade... 😳
By the final day, I was completely losing it—hallucinating, rambling nonsense, and eventually just blacking out. I didn't just fall asleep; I plummeted into unconsciousness. When I finally came to, I woke up after 24 hours of deep sleep, totally disoriented regarding time and space, before crashing for another ten hours...
In hindsight, it was almost a surreal kind of fun, but I wouldn't dream of doing it again... 😬

Look, I couldn't help myself either. I just had to jump in.😁 😁

Don't worry about it, we all know how that's spelled... 😉

If those are the going rates, then it's actually not quite as overpriced as I initially feared...
Ugh, does it hurt? Just the mention of needles makes my skin crawl... 😱
Let’s be clear: weight loss is absolutely not on my radar; however, I might consider it if they promised it would make me quit smoking... 😬

Actually, since I’ve already brought it up—a friend of mine went through the program and was incredibly happy with the results. Honestly, she looks like a completely different person; the weight loss was nothing short of dramatic...
By the way, ironsurfer8—if you don't mind me asking—what kind of damage are we talking about in terms of cost?

ironsurfer8 said:It’s hardly a joke,
I actually tried it myself and it worked wonders. I lost weight without having to obsessively track every single calorie, my anxiety levels dropped, and I felt like I had more energy overall.

However, I should probably offer a word of caution: the results aren't necessarily permanent. I went in for treatments for about a month. My doctor advised that I needed at least a month-long break before starting again, suggesting the effects would linger for another month or two—and for a while, that was exactly how it played out.
A few months down the road, though, the weight started creeping back on.
I really ought to have gone back for another round of treatment, but life got in the way. I dealt with some health issues related to acupuncture that ended up triggering some weight gain, so I've unfortunately found myself right back where I started.

That being said, if you're healthy, have the budget for it, and the discipline to stick to it, you can lose a significant amount of weight with fairly lasting results. I know several people for whom it worked perfectly fine.

Honestly, I shouldn't even be critiquing this—just fixing typos... by the way, regarding that little slip-up earlier—it was just a matter of moving the letter, not erasing it entirely. 😉

cvio14 said:oh, right, hatching😬
I have this one section I don't want to hatch, but I'm stuck because I don't know how to recreate the shape without including that specific part.
Is there a way to select just a single line?
Actually, I know it's possible because I've managed to do it before, but now I'm completely drawing a blank on how.🙂

If you really need to isolate a specific line, you could select the hatch and use the Explode command; however, that’s going to break everything down into individual lines, which might be more trouble than it's worth...

Alternatively, if you just want a certain segment to remain unhatched, the simplest route is to either just avoid hatching that area entirely, or go ahead and hatch it and then simply delete the unwanted part later...

By the way, as much as I'd love to be a mind reader, it's pretty obvious I haven't quite grasped what you're actually trying to achieve here...

I’d only feel guilty if I were the one to throw the first punch.
