I flagged this a few days back, but it still hasn't been taken down...

That first Marine flick from 2006 was actually pretty solid, but honestly, most of the sequels that followed have been a total letdown... I haven't gotten around to watching Rounds yet, but I do have the third installment on my hard drive because Dean Ambrose is in it, so I might check it out just to see how he handled himself in an action role. As for the first two, they starred John Cena and Randy Orton... though, if I'm being completely honest, I have a feeling any movie centered around Orton isn't exactly going to be a masterpiece...

Thinking about making a second profile in Feedback & Suggestions ·
^From what I understand, deleting your account on vBulletin—or pretty much any other forum software out there—doesn't actually scrub your old posts from the board. All that happens is your profile gets wiped. On the left side of your old messages, it’ll just show up as "Guest" or whatever nickname you had, but since the profile itself is gone, there isn't any actual data left behind, so you don't really have anything to worry about. If you're still feeling skeptical, you could always just set up a couple of dummy accounts and test it out yourselves to see exactly how it looks...

I can't seem to find a specific example for vBulletin, but here is how it works on General Motors's platform:

Honestly, I wasn't a fan of that one. In my opinion, the biggest disappointment was Steve Gutenberg, who just isn't my cup of tea... the only redeeming quality was the production design.

Edit: Speaking of that genre and era, I actually much prefer Testament... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086429/

Did you actually shed a tear during that one scene? You know exactly which one I'm talking about... everyone does...

Surprise me... you usually end up defending this whole genre of movies.

jadedrifter17 said:I’d love to introduce one specific twist to those dramatic soap operas... It would involve some mysterious sniper who, in the very final episode, just takes out the bride and groom—the same couple we’ve spent a thousand episodes waiting to see finally tie the knot. You know, the music is upbeat, everyone is smiling, the whole town is basically bursting with joy, and then suddenly this bastard appears and drops a bullet on both of them. Then, immediate cut to black...

If you really want to see something like that, you should check out the soap Miami Beach. It plays out like a standard drama right up until the end, when it basically morphs into a total slasher horror...

Maybe if Terminator 2 had gone a different route—if instead of that thumbs-up, Arnie had just flipped the bird and muttered "I'll be back"—who knows, maybe he actually would have made a comeback...

Oh wait... 🙄

Dammit. It’s actually perfect because I refuse to acknowledge any new Terminator movies released after Terminator 2...

That isn't actually how the movie ends; the real conclusion is that monologue by Sarah Connor, which they cut out quite heavily from the theatrical release. You really need to watch the extended cut, the Skynet edition, because that’s where you get the full sequence uninterrupted... In that version, the apocalyptic future never actually happens and everyone just lives happily ever after. Based on that, you could reasonably conclude that there was no intention of making T3 back then...
The Room (2003)

I really wish Johnny and Lisa could have just found some happiness together and stayed that way... and if only she would stop tearing him apart... 😢

Self/less (2015) in Movies ·
What’s the big deal about this director anyway? He’s got a handful of movies under his belt, and the first one even features J-Lo as the lead, but honestly... this is the first time I’ve actually sat down to watch one of his works, and I just don't see the appeal in digging through his back catalog now.

briskhound2 said:I mean, if we're just talking about the first two installments, sure. But by the third one, things really start to lag behind—mostly because the plot is paper-thin (I knew who the bad guy was, but honestly, I had no clue what his actual motive was)... then the fourth one just veers off into this messy, bloated territory where there are way too many characters running around. Plus, Chris Rock is so grating he almost ruins the whole movie just by being on screen.

They might be lower in quality, I suppose, but I still hold all the entries in pretty high regard... personally, I didn't find Chris Rock quite that annoying in the fourth one, though Jet Li really rubbed me the wrong way since I've never been much of a fan of his. But at the end of the day, my favorite part about the series is definitely Joe Pesci, who is just fantastic.

Best Action Saga? (NEW POLL) in Movies ·
I ended up voting for the action saga "Die Hard" because, honestly, it looked like the best option on the table at the time, though it hit me later that the fourth installment is just a mediocre flick, and the fifth one was such total garbage I actually turned it off after only 15 minutes.
If we’re talking about maintaining actual quality from the very first film all the way through to the end, I’d argue that "Deadly Weapon" is the superior choice. But even then, my heart still leans toward "Die Hard," despite how much they stumbled with those subpar sequels...
Why don't you just hand over a recipe for how to make pure gold out of literal garbage?
