Honestly, that soundtrack alone makes the trailer an 11/10 🙏 🙏 🙏

Honestly, the only real goal I have left in this life is hitting the big one with the Powerball. 🤣

Complaining about being overworked or pulling overtime is really just a roundabout way of admitting you aren't actually competent at your job. I mean, think about it—who’s going to pick up ballet faster or more efficiently, a bodybuilder or a professional dancer? A guy obsessed with his gains is probably going to grind for 14 or 15 hours a day, cursing at everyone in sight, just waiting to crash in front of the TV with a beer in hand. If you ask him to do anything else, he'll just give you the usual, "Man, I'm dead, I don't have the time." Meanwhile, a professional dancer might only need 2 or 3 hours of practice to get it right and still have plenty of energy left to grab coffee with people if they actually want to maintain those social connections.
Then you've got the exact opposite scenario, where someone is getting paid way too much for what they actually contribute. if you spend two hours of a nine-hour workday actually working, and the other seven hours just sitting around, scrolling through news sites, chatting with coworkers, or taking long lunches—well, you can claim you're "exhausted from work" all you want, but let's be honest, you didn't actually break a sweat.

Basically, everyone loves to point the finger at everyone else instead of looking in the mirror. Work becomes this convenient scapegoat used to justify a bunch of parasites who just want a free ride.

But that’s basically what this whole thread has been about from the start.

I know the type.
Guy was practically like a brother to me, known him for two decades, yet he somehow "doesn't have time" even for a quick Starbucks run.
It wasn't even a big blowout fight or anything, we didn't really clash... it just happened, the connection just snapped.
I guess you just have to scrub people like that from your memory, move on, and never look back.

A 220-pound vran? Yeah, right. Just imagine that. He wouldn't even be able to get off the ground properly.🕺

Why are you even asking?
the legend of Tarzan in Movies ·
I think I read somewhere that Michael Phelps was actually considered for the role of Tarzan, but apparently the director was totally put off by how wooden he was during that SNL monologue.
I mean, at least Phelps wouldn't have to bleed for the part; he’s basically spent his entire life pushing himself through the pain anyway.

OT: I haven't sat through many of these "modern" flicks, but my memory of The Avengers and Green Lantern is particularly grim. Especially The Avengers—with that whole "sexy, cool squad" vibe where half the people aren't even actual superheroes if you think about it for two seconds 😁
Plus, they've got Robert Downey Jr. in there, so that’s an automatic three stars deducted from my rating 🤣

Look, let's not just talk trash for the sake of it right now.

I mean, I actually thought about watching this movie because of him, but since he's a total joke too... I guess I have better things to do with my time.

Jumanji (2017)

IMDb

So, remember that classic movie based on the book from back in '95? It was all about this guy (Robin Williams) who ends up trapped inside a board game for twenty-five whole years until two kids finally manage to pull him out!

Well, get this—Dwayne Johnson just posted on Instagram that he’s working on a remake, and apparently, they're going for a much more modern vibe.

Johnson is set to take the lead role, and honestly, can you even imagine the look on his face when he finally steps out of the game and realizes we're living in a world full of smartphones, Facebook, and all this other crazy new tech?!

I mean, I guess he might just decide to head back into the jungle. 😁
Predator 2 in Movies ·
cosmiclynx57 said:When we’re talking about the absolute best moments, I mean that one scene where Jamie Foxx pulls off the mask—that’s easily the most iconic part of the whole movie, right?

And then there's that moment when he walks into that slaughterhouse and the Predator is just standing there totally blindsided, like, "Who is this guy stepping into my territory and actually having the guts to stare me down?! WTF?!" 😁

Look, there are some killer scenes in here, but as a complete package, the movie feels kind of weak to me. Honestly, if the first movie didn't even exist, I'd probably think this was way better than it actually is.

It’s just like when you trade in your Mercedes-Benz S-Class or an E-Class for an A-Class; sure, the A-Class is fine, but once you remember how incredible the S or E-Class felt, that new car just doesn't measure up.

I think you're exaggerating—Predator 2 isn't even remotely as bad compared to the original. 😉

Personally, I really dig that scene with the old lady in the bathroom and that subway scene 😁

The movie is a pretty decent follow-up to the first one, though I guess Jamie Foxx’s performance actually makes it better than the original for me.
Growing up, my absolute dream was to see a third movie where Jamie Foxx and Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed up to fight off a Predator and an Alien at the same time. 😁
Not even Ty Roth could drag me out of the house to go see that.
Edward Norton vs. Leonardo DiCaprio in Movies ·
I could honestly say that Daniel Day-Lewis is one of the greatest actors to ever do it. I don't have to die before I can make a claim like that. Unfortunately, I haven't actually sat through many of his movies.
To be fair, I saw him in that film based on the novel by Milan Kundera, and I watched Gangs of New York when I was just a kid; all I really remember from that one is his character, because he absolutely terrified me. I think Leonardo DiCaprio might have been in that movie too, but I don't recall and I really can't be bothered to look it up on IMDb right now.

Random question: who would have played a better Joker—Daniel Day-Lewis or Edward Norton? 😁
Edward Norton vs. Leonardo DiCaprio in Movies ·
Regarding the stuttering thing, I find it pretty fascinating just because it was his first role. I don't think anyone would have even noticed if it had been his nth film in a row.

Either you have talent, or you don't. It’s that simple.
Alan Rickman basically shaped Hans Gruber exactly how he wanted—that smooth, sophisticated foreign thief decked out in expensive suits.
It was his first film role, yet he managed to play one of the greatest movie villains ever, and his specific type of antagonist has been copied in hundreds of other American action flicks since. Which is honestly impressive for a guy who apparently hates guns.

DiCaprio has spent 12 years playing neurotic characters on the fringes of society, thinking that's how he'll prove his genius acting chops—but really, he's just showing how much crap he's willing to swallow just to be recognized by the industry.
His "private life" is so transparent to the public that the only thing we don't know is whether he uses three-ply or royal four-ply toilet paper.
The guy just screams for validation, but he doesn't really have much to offer.
Edward Norton vs. Leonardo DiCaprio in Movies ·
Norton is just incredible. I’m obsessed with his voice.
He was absolutely killer as the neighborhood tough guy in American History X.
