Emergency contraception (Plan B) in Health ·
Honestly, I don't think you even need extra protection. Go ahead and call your doctor if it makes you feel better, but from what I can tell—you were less than 12 hours late, and that was with a regular cycle. You’ll become a mom when it’s actually meant to happen, not just whenever you feel like it. 🙂

Dietary tips for managing PCOS in Women's Health ·
Excess weight is a massive issue for women dealing with PCOS, and doctors almost always push for weight loss because the benefits go way beyond just looking better. Honestly, losing just 5% of your body weight can be enough to get your ovulation cycle back on track.

I was looking for that one thread about the wolf—the one that used to be huge here—but I couldn't find it anywhere. It totally vanished after that massive wave of deletions.

Blaze. I have zero clue what that man is even talking about.😁
What's your ideal weight? in Health ·
Jamie Hernandez5 said:Look, I'm 20 years old, standing at about 5'5", and weighing in at 108 lbs. According to my BMI calculations, I’m technically flagged as underweight—which is frankly ridiculous because I am definitely not malnourished, nor do I look like I am. In fact, most people would probably guess I weigh closer to 117 lbs. It really just comes down to individual body composition, bone density, and all that other stuff. For instance, I have a very petite frame, which keeps my number low, yet I know girls who are actually much thinner than I am but carry a "healthier" BMI simply because they have denser bone structures. Personally, I think obsessing over an "ideal weight" based on these arbitrary numbers is pretty foolish; weight is influenced by way too many variables to be boiled down to one single metric.

Same age, same height, but I’m nearly 22 pounds heavier. If I dropped down to 108, I’d look like a walking corpse. 😁 😁

It all comes back to body type. Igor, when you go see your primary care doctor, just ask them if your weight actually makes sense for your age and height. 🙂

If you had any actual background in medicine, you'd realize that primary care doctors act as the gatekeepers of the entire American healthcare system—their whole job is to triage who needs specialized care and who can be handled at the local clinic...
So, the protocol is to go to them first for advice instead of bothering a specialist with routine stuff like this!
By the way, I get the distinct impression you're following my thread history around, which isn't exactly a great feeling—it's basically digital stalking!
p.s. I'm really not a fan of people who fart or burp in public settings, so... yeah, you don't stand a chance! 😁

Look, if you knew anything at all, you’d realize that OB-GYNs, dentists, and primary care physicians are all part of primary care. Just like you don't run to your family doctor when you have a toothache, you don't go to them for menstrual cycle issues either.

But hey, keep acting like an expert. 🙄

Btw, "primary care" and "medicine" aren't proper nouns—lowercase, please. 🙂

I need someone to translate what that guy from the night school was saying. Zuhra said he sounds like a seagull getting run over by a car, and honestly, I didn't understand a single word he uttered.

Maybe an ectopic pregnancy...

Or just something 60% of women go through...

I think you mean 60% *don't* experience bleeding or pain after getting two positive pregnancy tests.

Look, just go get your swabs done at a community clinic if you really have to.
Every single time I get a Pap smear, I end up bleeding a little.
Pads can be plastic, or they can be cotton. What do you think—does it feel easier to breathe through cotton underwear, or a plastic pantyliner?😉
