What should I get for a godparent gift at a Baptism? in Students & Teens ·
hollowraven said:Apologies for the off-topic tangent:

Good grief, there is no way a teenager—let's say a sixteen-year-old girl—actually requires two or three different cell phones at once. I only carry one, and I certainly don't see the point in complicating my own life with extra devices. I am asking because my child is still an infant, and I am trying to prepare myself for the reality of what lies ahead.

They don't. 😁 I've always just had one at a time. My parents bought me my first one, then I bought my second one with my own money, and the third one was basically dirt cheap.

proxima, what do you mean $3,000 for a gift? Unless you're made of money, which you definitely aren't. 😲

It tastes just like the regular stuff, but there's zero sugar in it. You don't need to be some genius to figure out if it's loaded with artificial sweeteners or not.
George Martin70 said:TV news and newspapers are constantly flooded with stories about hunting down pedophiles. Politicians love to act all concerned about child safety, positioning themselves as the ultimate solution to this growing threat facing vulnerable kids. But if you actually sit down and read through the articles, it mostly feels like a bunch of nothing—just empty noise with hardly any substance. Every so often, this whole topic gets massive media coverage, only to be pushed aside by other things like drug legalization, prostitution laws, or marriage equality.
Pedophilia is actually a pretty rare mental disorder; I mean, in a place like the US, there are probably just a handful of these cases that aren't already locked up in prison.
Do you guys think outlets like The Oprah Winfrey Show and our politicians are intentionally blowing the pedophilia issue out of proportion, kind of like a modern-day witch hunt?

That’s it. That's everyone. 🙂

Seriously, this whole thing is blown way out of proportion.. 🙄

Look, where is this obsession coming from? This idea that pedophilia barely exists or that every single predator in America is already in prison? And why on earth are you bringing this up again? It's crystal clear you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about (those "incredible" stats about there being only 5 or 6 people in the whole country, and acting shocked that women can be predators too...)
Steven Rivera7 said:Does anyone know how to report a gynecologist working through insurance? (Not a private practice).
Basically, after my exam, he offered to do an ultrasound. I said yes. Then he sent me over to a different clinic and told me it would cost $33.

I didn't know what to do right then because I just wanted to get out of that office as fast as possible.

Man, talk about quick reflexes. Nice job. 🙏 🙏

But sure, we got a tiny chocolate bar instead. 😬

I was out with my partner today—they didn't mention sending anything, and honestly, we didn't even get a chocolate bar. 😢

I had this dream last night where I arrived at 2:55 and nobody was there anymore. I felt so crushed and just started sobbing... I guess I'm losing it too. 🤣

My doctor actually told me it’s "weird" that I don't get painful periods. Seriously? If my cramps were actually that bad, I’d be looking for a new physician in a heartbeat.

I can't believe I'm actually reading this. So I read it again, and seriously, you're sitting there saying it's "weird" that nothing hurts? I read it once more and I still don't believe it.

Where's the smart bitch when you actually need one?..

Just a reminder. 🙂

(I almost forgot, you lazy bum, I was positive it was next week 😁)
Chronic overdose.

Listen up, because people need to stop treating supplements like candy. If you go overboard with Vitamin A for too long, you’re asking for a world of hurt. We're talking hypervitaminosis A, and it's nasty. You start feeling exhausted, irritable, and lose your appetite. Your weight drops, you're puking, and your whole digestive system goes haywire. Then comes the fever, liver and spleen swelling, skin issues, hair loss, and lips that are so dry they actually crack and bleed. It doesn't stop there—you could deal with anemia, killer headaches, high calcium levels, even seizures. And don't get me started on the bone and joint pain and swelling. It gets even scarier with kids. You can get increased intracranial pressure, vision problems, ringing in the ears, and painful swelling along their bones. Worst of all? It can cause premature closure of the growth plates, which means it can literally stunt a child's growth. Don't be reckless.

Acute overdose. This is serious stuff.

One single dose of 1,000,000 IU or more can trigger an acute overdose. We’re talking serious stuff here: heavy sedation, dizziness, double vision, and killer headaches. You could also deal with nausea, vomiting, skin flushing, itching, or even peeling skin. Don't mess around with this.

And this guy? Natural wealth. There’s 10,000 IU in one capsule. That’s way more than the daily dose listed on the manufacturer's website. Seriously? 😕 )

Side effects from antibiotics in Health ·
Look, I love antibiotics as much as the next guy, but your gut might actually appreciate a probiotic for once. Just go in there like, "Good morning, pharmacist! I'm taking this specific antibiotic and it's wrecking my stomach, so I need a good probiotic to fix it. Please and thank you."

It’s completely irrelevant. A guy with only one sperm cell in his entire ejaculate is basically useless when it comes to fertility. Period.
