Daniel Ward87 said:Look, Mr. Moderator... you basically called us all communists playing at being liberals ☕. Personally, I couldn't care less about what you or anyone else on Reddit identifies as politically. I’ve never deleted a post just because I disagreed with it. If that were the case, half the people here would have been partially or permanently banned by now, and posts would be vanishing twice as fast. But instead, I allow others the right to their opinions—and I even allow for the possibility that they might actually be right. 🤷

People in the Politics section tend to get a little too full of themselves. So what if someone insults the diaspora? Look, broadly speaking, people have the right to an opinion, and they certainly have the right to hold a negative one. There are people who despise the diaspora and aren't afraid to say it publicly. On the flip side, there are those who respect them and voice that openly too... and then everyone starts pointing fingers, accusing each other of trolling, being offensive, and so on.

Honestly, this whole debate is becoming a waste of time for me... And if I may add, I'm not exactly shocked by the types of people who constantly complain about how Politics is moderated 😉

Daniel Ward87

If I were to insult Mexicans or Jews the same way people insult the diaspora—specifically Americans from Canada—I can say with absolute certainty that I’d face a permanent ban, if not a lawsuit.

But when people go after Americans from Canada, suddenly it's all "freedom of speech" and "freedom of opinion." 🙄

It comes down to principle. You either approve of it or you don't.
And that's why moderation feels so selective; it seems to depend entirely on whether you share the same political views or not.

Why not just admit it? Why continue this stubborn denial when two moderators—especially Ryan Vaughn7 with his specific way of "handling" things—seem to be proving my point every single day?

PS: This isn't just happening in Politics; you see the same thing in other subreddits too.

Honestly, you only need to take one look at the U.S. federal budget to see what a massive lie this is...

The reality of this topic is pretty simple:

1. It’s just a blatant copy-paste job...

2. It is pure, unadulterated trolling.

If anyone with a different opinion had posted this, the thread would have been locked instantly. But because it’s someone from "our side," it stays open—and the fact that the moderator was clearly watching, noting those 79 deleted posts, just proves how biased the whole thing is.

Those two entries were part of my earlier registration, but apparently, there's a rule that nothing shows up until they decide to call you out publicly like this. Once they do, they just vanish—even though it would be useful to know, say, how many points libertango actually scored on those two entries. By the book, she should have walked away with 45 each.

And let me just add this: when they want to punish those of us who don't fall in line, they don't even need a formal invitation. For instance, Resonator hands out penalties for no reason at all, and as for Ryan Vaughn7, we don't even need to talk about him; everyone knows exactly how his "influence" works.

If you're threatening to cancel a show forever just because they want to run a campaign—effectively killing their career—that's not right.

But if you tell Dennis, "Look, you can run, but you can't host this specific show during the campaign because it's common sense; find something else of equal weight," then that's a different story.

Clear enough?

And please, drop the whole "liberal" obsession already. Try to post a few times on the same thread without mentioning John.

but nobody actually told him he wouldn't be able to work... do you even grasp that? An executive producer has the absolute right to add or remove shows for any reason whatsoever... and Dennis can always work as a news anchor, except during his actual campaign period.
Do you understand that, or do I need to spell it out? 😁

And as for John, he was a perfectly valid parallel to draw... even if I haven't mentioned him in ages.😳
Charles Fox10 said:Who cares if he's running for office? But you just can't go around threatening people at their jobs.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

But what happens when someone actually violates the labor rules at that specific job?

I mean, are we really going to pretend we don't see the blatant conflict of interest here? Is it even remotely possible to serve as a lead journalist for an info-political news program while simultaneously running for President of the United States or any other political office?

Or are we all just playing dumb?

If Hlo were to try something like this, they would be torn apart in a digital lynching within minutes...

Actually, why am I even surprised? We see people cheering on Mr. Grubišić for voicing his political opinions, yet the second a priest steps into a sacristy to do the same, everyone loses their minds.

It's just classic left-wing "principle" in full swing.

We haven't hit the bottom yet, but we're certainly sinking in style. The lead singer might be loud, but it seems there are plenty of backup vocalists here on the forum too...
Honestly, they might as well just appoint them as the editor of the ABC informative program right now. Why bother waiting for the ABC director to finish their campaign cycle?

It’s almost unbelievable. You look at our supposed champions of democracy, those loudmouths who constantly preach about media freedom and rail against political interference in journalism... and suddenly, they’re ready to toss all those precious principles out the window. 🤣

Are we really talking about scrapping the Latin alphabet while using Latin script in the campaign?

bluefalcon14 said:I sent a DM to Resonator regarding the decision to lock that thread about Ivo Josipović, but I haven't heard a single word back... silence.

That same moderator also failed to ban a user named "libertango," even though I went out of my way to formally report her insults... It’s not just that he ignored her blatant disrespect; he actually allowed her to intentionally derail the entire discussion about Ivo Josipović before abruptly shutting the thread down himself. To make matters worse, he wiped away the specific posts I reported, leaving absolutely no trace of them. All that remains is this single comment, which, unsurprisingly, hasn't been flagged either. Is anyone actually watching the watchers here?

I’ve already told you once before: just go away and find something else to mess with. Seriously, can you please just go do something productive for once instead of jumping down my throat in every single post?

Look, I usually prefer to handle things privately. When I have an issue with someone whose opinion I actually respect, I’ll reach out via DM to settle it one-on-one. But you? You’re just way too much for my nerves to handle right now.
Look, I’m saying it again. For the record.

Will you just go screw off and find something else to do? Seriously, just once, can you stop breathing down my neck on every single damn post?

I don't know about you, but I’ve been staring at this thread for a while now, and the level of delusion on display is honestly staggering. Is anyone else actually feeling this, or am I just losing my mind? We’re sitting here watching the political landscape shift under our feet, yet people act like everything is business as usual. Look at the way everyone is reacting to the recent shifts in the Republican Party. It’s almost comical how quickly people jump from one extreme to the other without a second thought. Do we really think these tactical maneuvers are meant for our benefit? Or is it all just a grand performance to keep us distracted while the real decisions are made behind closed doors? It feels like we're stuck in this endless loop of predictable drama. Every time a major policy change rolls around, there's the same old outcry, the same tired arguments, and the same inevitable result. Does anyone truly believe that changing the face of leadership changes the underlying machinery of the system? It's like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic—it might look different, but the ship is still heading straight for the iceberg. And then you have the pundits on Reddit trying to dissect every single move as if they’ve uncovered some deep, hidden conspiracy. Most of it is just noise. Pure, unadulterated noise designed to keep engagement high and critical thinking low. Why do we fall for it every single time? I’m not saying I have all the answers—far from it. In fact, I’m more skeptical than ever. But I can’t help but wonder when we’ll collectively decide to stop being so easily swayed by the theater of it all. Are we waiting for something specific to happen before we realize the game is rigged? Or are we just content to sit in the audience and clap on cue?

It’s honestly unbelievable that this post hasn't been sanctioned yet. I mean, really? I got slapped with a warning just for leaving a comment on a thread that said, "I'm gonna pee, I'm gonna poop." How is that any different? It makes you wonder what the actual standard is around here.

Resonator wraps up this closed thread by pointing out that there’s actually a separate discussion happening regarding the diaspora. It’s an interesting pivot, especially since Ivo Josipović was incredibly blunt about it. He made it crystal clear: "The Constitution and federal law guarantee voting rights to our citizens living abroad. There is absolutely no room for debate or polling on this matter; for me, this is a strictly constitutional issue." Can we really argue with that? When it comes to fundamental legal rights, is there even any point in holding a survey?

Instead of actually tackling the single biggest political shift we've seen in America lately, we’re being forced to spin our wheels debating the voting rights of the diaspora—a topic that almost nobody even disputes anymore. It feels like the Democratic Party and the President are just trying to shut the conversation down entirely, while Resonator is the only one left keeping the door open. But then, they go about silencing the President himself? Honestly, what kind of logic is that?

Why on earth would he hand out a ban when she isn't even breaking any of his rules? Honestly, posts like hers are exactly what this place needs. She hasn't been penalized for a single one of these entries, yet we all know how it goes—moderators will happily hand out bans to anyone who dares to disagree, driven by nothing but pure spite. It’s always the same pattern: they'll slap someone with a ban for "trolling" without offering a single concrete reason or a shred of actual argument. Is that really how we're running things now?🙄

It’s blindingly obvious that the political moderators actually enjoy having trolls around...

Take, for instance, someone who just can't help but throw insults left and right.

StriborCumez said:Look, Adam Collins4, you can see they are just idiots. There's no reason to take offense from people like that; if anything, you should be worried if they actually liked you.

And then there's this:

libertango said:Are you really going to let yourself get rattled by someone whose username is clearly derived from whatever substance they're snorting all day? Constant nitpicking and sniping are part of the fun on Reddit, but while some users need a good reality check in every single thread, others fall into the category where you have to apply the rule: life is too short.
Those who have basically fried their brains through excessive "dreaming" belong to that second group..

These two move through the threads insulting and trolling without a care in the world, which makes me seriously wonder if the moderators are actually hiding behind those accounts.

Adam Collins4 manages to derail almost every discussion into off-topic nonsense, yet the moderators don't seem to give a damn about it either.

And why? Because they're playing the same tune—they share the exact same political leanings.

Meanwhile, anyone on the other side of the aisle gets hit with a ban, and their posts are wiped away without any legitimate reason whatsoever.

...then honestly, I can't even wrap my head around you.

Go ahead, throw another ban my way—I'm sure you'll dig up some random post to justify it—so you won't have to endure reading my stuff for at least three whole days.

Ryan Vaughn7 said:You're welcome. Though, I'm not sure I can say it twice. You see, people complain so much about deletions that issuing a warning or a ban always feels like the better second choice. It's probably for the best. At least then I won't have to go through the hassle of copying and pasting deleted posts just to prove to the trolls that they actually were trolling.

Alright, but why did you delete my enrollment post about the friendship between George W. Bush and Gaddafi, especially since Bush himself was the one who coined the term "talibanization"?

I mean, isn't it common knowledge how Libya funded terrorists, and isn't it also well known that Libya is a jamahiriya?

The whole point was discussing Bush's vision of a state without religion—specifically, without the Cross.

Joe Biden's anti-fascism in Close to Politics ·
The discovery of female remains within a mass grave located in an abandoned mine near the Grand Canyon, dating back to the aftermath of World War II, has sent shockwaves through the investigation.
John Doe, the leading forensic expert overseeing the study of this site, confirmed to PBS that several of the skeletons are unmistakably female. While no children's remains have been recovered yet, he is hesitant to provide a definitive death toll, even though preliminary estimates suggest there could be as many as four thousand victims scattered across three separate tunnels.

In the first tunnel, which plunges 50 meters deep, the bodies are piled all the way to the ceiling; we still don't know the scale of the tragedy in the other two shafts. This site was first unearthed in early March, and until now, the prevailing assumption was that the victims were mostly soldiers. Whether they were American or foreign combatants remains unconfirmed. However, finding female remains was entirely unexpected, and this revelation might finally shed light on the grim fate of those lost in the Hudson Pit.

I’m honestly curious to hear what "Comrade" Biden has to say about this.

Sarah Wilson95 said:Hate speech? Please. I am talking about the Wounded Knee commemoration organized by an association representing the Honorary Bleiburg leadership—an association of Ustaše survivors, of a defeated army, of a fallen regime, of a failed movement... so I suppose they are also commemorating a failed ideology.

I’m not disputing the right of those individuals to gather and mourn for the Nazi Germany era, nor their right to honor their dead, but the USA government has absolutely no business participating in this. Citizens of the US shouldn't be forced to watch a live broadcast of this, and they certainly shouldn't have their tax dollars used to fund such a disgrace.

When the government participates, provides funding, and acts as a patron while public television broadcasts the whole thing, they are using it for political purposes to mobilize an extreme right-wing faction—a group that, much like everyone else, has nothing smarter or more important to offer. Until then, this Wounded Knee "commemoration" remains HEAVY PROPAGANDA TRASH; it is offensive and grotesque to handle it this way.

They are "commemorating" the Nazi Germany era and absolutely nothing else. Period.

🙂

I know it’s easiest to just delete the thread and pretend nothing happened, isn't it, dear moderators?

But the entries remain, and those spreading hate speech from the so-called left 🙄 continue to repeat themselves without interference, insulting anyone whose ancestors endured the naked misery of the Trail of Tears—the very event being commemorated at the Wounded Knee battlefield through speeches by officials, certain associations, and a mass.

If someone doesn't like the format, the Mass, or what is said there, then they should simply ignore it...

But it is absolutely unacceptable that certain users on this board can pour out such hatred without any consequences.

And yet, you all just sit there and tolerate these posts—which, let's be honest, are practically hate speech on this topic:

mramoterm said:Wounded Knee is nothing but propaganda garbage.
It’s 2009 and there isn't a single serious scientific study on this because nobody actually wants the truth; they just want megalomania.

We won't know anything until we get answers to the following:
How many units from Nazi Germany, the Chetniks, the Belgrade factions, and similar groups were actually active during WWII?
How many of them died in combat?
How many were captured after the territory was liberated?
Of those captured, how many were released back home after being held in camps, and how many never returned?

There is no need to go digging for mass graves when everything should be right there on paper; these armies kept meticulous records because they were part of an organized state with funded logistics.

All of this could have been uncovered with five years of research and a few million dollars, but nobody actually wants to do it.

Sarah Wilson95 said:😲 😲 😲 😲
First of all, Auschwitz is absolutely not comparable to the massacre at the Wounded Knee battlefield!!!!

And that is exactly what is happening here—none of this "commemoration" or "respecting the victims" nonsense...

. What Hebrang did today, which CBS broadcast in a "socially acceptable" version, is the most malicious filth imaginable—just like Vukojevic's tactics, except Hebrang is a more intelligent creature (I'm not talking about his attacks on JBT, but rather that disgusting habit of putting Auschwitz in the same sentence as the "American Way of the Cross," explicitly stating that enemies of the regime died at both sites)🤣—it's a blatant insinuation.

Ultimately, the Wounded Knee "commemoration" is pure propaganda trash and until we clean this up ourselves and the government stops funding this shameful circus—that is all there will ever be.

They toss these extreme voices into the basket of the Democratic Party, which sits there empty anyway, while a few small neo-fascist groups bump into each other—all with the mentorship and logistical support of the Democratic Party patriarch.☕

Dawn said:What happened at Wounded Knee was just what they deserved. There’s absolutely no need for an investigation or any kind of memorialization, maybe just put up a monument so people have somewhere to vent their frustrations.

Sarah Wilson95 said:here's another 500 for you:

The Wounded Knee "commemoration," held right where the remnants of the so-called Nazi Germany forces surrendered—organized by an association of Ustaše survivors—is nothing more than PURE PROPAGANDA TRASH.

Trail of Tears - Way of the Cross - looking for an explanation in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It’s perfectly clear to me that there are certain users and moderators here who find this topic unsettling. It seems they are following the old playbook of the previous regime, attempting to silence anyone who dares to bring up these specific issues through every possible means at their disposal.

I’m certainly not disputing their right to hold those opinions or to express them.

What I am protesting, however, are these undemocratic, almost totalitarian tactics—deleting anything that contradicts their narrative or threatens the polished image they try to project. They want to present themselves as free-thinking, democratic, and open to all perspectives, especially when it comes to showing empathy for innocent victims.

But this behavior proves they are actually the exact opposite of everything they claim to be, especially since this thread hasn't violated a single rule of the Forum.

In an era where mass graves are being unearthed and the supposed "glory" of the so-called "anti-fascists" is finally being exposed for what it really was, isn't saying "we don't want to live in the past" just a hollow cliché?

I have no desire to dwell on it either, but we have a responsibility to speak the truth if we ever want the future to be truly free.
I don't see any reason why we can't discuss this—the post simply references the date that marked the beginning of that bloody feast, better known as the Way of the Cross.

So, once again, I am asking: which moderator is actively trying to suppress the memory of Wounded Knee?

Memorial Day and the Trail of Tears regarding a PDF from Politics

And they did it in record time—it wasn't even visible for a few minutes.

The original post read:

This year, the anniversary coincided with the local elections. Even though nobody is really talking about it lately, it's time we remember the victims who were executed without trial during the Trail of Tears, which followed when the Britons handed over soldiers and civilians to the bloodthirsty hands of the partisans and Stalin at Wounded Knee.

In remembrance...

Let us not forget...

THEY
Bow your heads and walk in silence.
Bent low, quietly, down this dark street.
Quietly, on tiptoe, follow me.
I will lead you through the desolate plains.
Lead you along paths, endless roads
Lead you through forests, through thickets dense.
Lead you to one lonely place.

There lies a graveyard, simple and modest,
Crosses once stood there; they are gone now,
Only the mounds remain, neatly arranged,
Cracked and weathered by wind and rain.

No candles are ever lit here.
Nor do bells toll for them here,
Nature herself lays out the flowers,
She alone adorns their mournful graves.

Do not tread upon the fresh grass,
It sprouted from their very blood.
Watch in silence and bow your head,
Pay your respects with quiet reverence.

The furrows are still there, grey in the meadow,
Here, steel once plowed the earth,
Here, they stood brave amidst the fire,
Who today sleep beneath the mound.

They are dead—but come closer;
See that faint, pale, delicate glimmer;
That miraculous light rising from the grave;
Those are their immortal ideals.

You have seen them—those somber mounds;
A band of heroes
Who knew how to die.
Go now, but go in silence!
Know that they fell for you too...........
