rustymoose54 said:So how do you explain my good health, even with diabetes and all that intense food you eat?

It’s just because you actually pay attention to what's happening with your body—you're incredibly smart, you know your stuff, and you put so much work into staying healthy. Plus, you've got this insane level of discipline... which is honestly something I've admired about you since the first time we spent a few days together traveling abroad in 😉 >>

I'm 43, I don't hit the gym, I don't run, I don't even bother with fitness classes—but I'm at a healthy weight, I feel great, and I sleep like a baby...

it's just genetics, pure luck of the draw...
Melissa Cruz2 said:My K levels just keep climbing year after year—we've actually been monitoring it super closely for about three months now.

Ah, gotcha. My bad, I honestly thought you meant it was just from a single checkup.

Well, if that's the case, don't sweat it too much... just try not to let it get in your head...
Melissa Cruz2, doctors rarely actually jump straight to a diet just because of ONE cholesterol reading. Those numbers can swing wildly—like, if you grabbed a handful of peanuts the night before your blood work, you could easily end up with a false high reading... It’s not always the real deal. Maybe try getting your blood drawn again in a little while? Just don't go making massive changes to what you eat—just watch out the day before so nothing crazy happens—and if your LDL is still showing up high then, maybe look into a diet plan.

And honestly, the stress from being told your cholesterol is high is a health issue in itself 😉

We all heard about it—our inboxes were absolutely flooded with those warning emails.

What’s the term for those fake news stories they blast out through email? I hate it when the word is right on the tip of my tongue... help me out here.

you're gonna get cancer from those emojis
I’m honestly dying to see what happens when Mac realizes that regulating smooth muscle through Nitric Oxide is actually what makes sildenafil work for that specific guy problem... He’ll probably just pack up and move straight over to Hazelnut—selling them his own formula loaded with NO in no time... 😂

and honestly, I’m kind of insulted that you’re putting me in the same group as them...
Honestly, what I find totally awesome about this is just clicking over to this page, http://niteworks.edietstar.com/facts.html — I actually clicked it myself because I wanted to see what the REAL deal was regarding Niteworks, you know? It’s way different from those mindless Macov translations... Try counting all the asterisks (*). Every single one of those little stars means the sentence before it hasn't been verified, isn't proven, and is most likely just plain wrong.

So, if you want to be smart about it, try counting only the statements that DON'T have an asterisk... just take those for granted...

Larry Lewis2 said:Muscle twitches are so common these days that everyone's probably dealing with them at some point. 😁

Yeah, there’s zero doubt about that.

I’m kind of with you regarding not throwing around heavy diagnoses—and let's be real, Kyle Nelson2 was clearly just messing around. I mean, nobody in their right mind actually thinks someone’s gone totally off the deep end.

But then again... what's the big deal? People on this forum just mess around. Most people aren't coming here looking for a medical breakthrough—that's what actual doctors are for, people who went to med school and get paid to give real diagnoses. We're all just killing time talking nonsense. If someone gets genuinely shaken up because some random person on an internet forum says they're losing it... well, if they need a specialist for muscle twitches, they probably need a therapist too...

Maybe early signs of Parkinson's...

but honestly, I’m leaning towards just a magnesium deficiency.

Or could it be CJD?

Wait, so allergens aren't proteins? Or are proteins not allergens? I'm confused...

what, that Kim Kardashian is some kind of icon or that you can detox your body just by soaking your feet in a tub with an electric current running through it? 😁
Betty Hill82 said:Where do you guys get the nerve to act like you know everything... seriously?

Why don't we all just lose the right to act like geniuses on this forum?...

Holy crap, you're totally losing it!!! Like, seriously... who on earth is pressuring you into taking someone else's organ?
Don't donate, don't give anything away—just make sure every single one of your organs goes into the ground right along with you. Hell, don't even bother giving blood if you get hit by a streetcar... at the end of the day, it's your body, and you should do whatever the hell you want with it...

Man, what a spoiled brat... ☕
From what I've gathered about how organ donation works here in the States, the real issue is just this massive lack of organization—and honestly, a total lack of interest from the people who are actually supposed to handle the extractions. I remember reading this heartbreaking story in the news about parents whose son died in a car accident; they were begging the doctors to take his kidneys and anything else that could be used, since that was his explicit wish and he even had a donor card. But the medical team at the hospital—I think it was somewhere small like maybe a rural town in the Midwest, sorry, my memory is fuzzy—just claimed they weren't equipped or staffed to handle it. It’s such a shame because, unfortunately, we still see way too many viable organs go to waste, all because of people who (and their families too) are more than willing to donate them...
I really don't think you need to worry about someone snatching your organs against your will. They aren't even taking them from the people who are actually offering them, and that's where the whole mess lies...

I’d highly recommend checking out the Mayo Clinic—honestly, you wouldn't believe how good they are for any kind of diagnostic testing.

But yeah, I’m with everyone else here... just heading in for a "chest X-ray" without actually seeing a doctor first—especially a specialist—given all those symptoms the OP mentioned... it’s probably not the smartest move. I mean, what is an X-ray even going to tell you if there isn't a specialist there to actually read it and connect the dots with what you're feeling?

I always seem to get that—usually right after a bad bout of food poisoning or if I've been cranking the AC way too high... Are you guys constantly living in some freezing ice box or something?

Betty Rivera14 said:great, now you guys are gonna try and convince me I can't even splash around in the ocean without goggles 🙄

I gotta be honest though—I've never actually heard of anyone buying goggles just for the beach because they're worried about the sun...
but, when I started hitting the pool last year (like, twice a week for a while), the chlorine was seriously wrecking my eyes. It got so red and painful that I actually had to go out and get some goggles. I still use them every single time I go to the pool, but I wouldn't say I'd wear them at the beach... maybe if I gave it a shot 🤔
