What about the rest of your injuries? Did you just land poorly?

It wasn't about how I was standing—I was simply standing.😁

Car wrecks, football, lugging around heavy speakers... 😁

rustymoose54 said:But where on earth did you get those 😁 injuries? You mentioned having 7 or 8 surgeries before.

Thomas Diaz6, for God's sake, just call the doctor you're supposed to see for your follow-up.

And this latest one? It's from standing wrong on the stairs. Honestly, it’s driving me insane. 😁
Maybe I'll be heading back under the knife if my ligaments actually snapped. 😁

Why am I suddenly being dragged into this 😕
I’ve got enough of my own scars to deal with 😁
Here 🙄
Why don't you go ask your mother what the actual difference is between the carbonation in a Coke versus sparkling water? I’d love to hear her "scientific" explanation. 😁
And since we're talking about dental health, let's be real: the sugar in a Coke is going to wreck your teeth way faster than the bubbles ever will.

mistyhound2 said:From what I recall, they're both produced by Pfizer. Amoxil is just amoxicillin (an aminopenicillin), whereas Klavocin is amoxicillin combined with clavulanic acid, giving it a much broader spectrum of activity.

Exactly. I think I mentioned that somewhere else, but that actually reinforces my point rather than answering it. Why on earth are we still using damn Amoxil 😁 if Klavocin—which is essentially the upgraded, superior version—is the standard?

And to answer banderas: Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus spp., Streptococcus agalactiae... plus a few others I don't bother mentioning.

Well, damn. In that case, you’re a medical miracle.😁
This doesn't strike me as something that should be this hard to treat.

Amanda Ward80 said:This isn't exactly on topic, but I figured I’d share my personal record for antibiotic usage lately. As of today, I've burned through four boxes of Amoxil and two boxes of 1g Klavocin... and I still haven't kicked these bacteria.

So, what exactly are we dealing with here, Escherichia?

Did you actually download their stuff?
The Eagles in Music ·
Here’s a little bit of trivia for you: there was actually a legitimate shot at seeing the Eagles perform at Madison Square Garden this spring. The math checked out and everything seemed ready to go, but right before they could ink the deal, they jacked up the price by fifty times. Just a tiny little detail, 😁

Dana Davis7 said:I’m definitely not allergic to Clavocin... but I have issues with certain ingredients in Amoxil.
The whole thing about buying meds without a prescription isn't exactly groundbreaking news. Honestly, my doctors are so incredibly hands-off that if I’m actually sick, I have to waste an entire day sitting in a waiting room just so they can listen to my lungs, check my throat, and scribble down an antibiotic script for a simple sore throat. If I deal with these infections constantly, why shouldn't I just be able to pick up the medicine myself?
As for allergies, they’re pretty unpredictable for me. One year I'm reacting to pollen, the next I'm fine—it all comes down to the immune system. It’s likely the same deal with how I react to Amoxil.

Do us all a favor and actually read the ingredient list for Amoxil. Then go ahead and read the label for Clavocin. Once you've done that, come back here and try to name a single substance found in Amoxil that isn't also in Clavocin. I dare you.😁
Drew Sanders7 said:Carol Jackson45 makes a fair point—where are they going to put all those fans with this kind of marketing? 🙂 It should have been a secret show, using that whole "spread the word" grassroots approach.

I have to apologize in advance for my (un)justified absence—I really wanted to catch you guys, but a 10-year reunion in a colorful little town like Jacksonville is an offer I just can't refuse 🙂...But hey, I'll try to pull some strings for that tour they mentioned, so maybe I'll make it after all...

Archangel Michael?
Was there once upon a time. 😁

Dana Davis7 said:2. Or vice versa... personally, I had a reaction to Amoxil, supposedly because of the penicillin in it, even though I've never been allergic to any medication before.

If you're allergic to Amoxil, you’re definitely going to react to Clavocin. It’s really just an upgraded version of Amoxil.😛

Betty Rivera14 said:Look, let’s be real here... NO antibiotic is handed out without a prescription. Especially nothing in the penicillin family. If pharmacists or patients are being reckless about it, that's an entirely different issue altogether.

Exactly. I mean, just look at the packaging—it has a big, clear "Rx" symbol right there, which literally means it requires a doctor's order.

Scott Allen10 said:Off the top of my head, I can think of three reasons why...
1. There are still certain pathogens that haven't developed resistance to Amoxil yet.
2. Some patients might be hypersensitive to the clavulanic acid found in Clavocin, making plain Amoxil the better call.
3. It’s significantly cheaper than Clavocin.

3. fair point 😁
I have to admit, I haven't personally run into a single case involving reason number two.

casualjackal12 said:Can you pick up Clavocin without a prescription?

No.
I’m pretty sure you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and grab any antibiotic without a doctor signing off on it first.

I’m going to pose this question again from a woman's perspective: Why does that medication even still exist? Why is it still being manufactured and prescribed when we have Clavocin
Kevin Gonzalez79 said:I checked my blood sugar this morning and it was 7.1.

The night before, I didn't eat anything crazy—just some chard and potatoes and a beer.

Diabetes runs in my family on both my mom's and dad's side.

Oof.

I don't usually drink soda, and I stay away from sweets and chocolate. Every now and then I'll have ice cream, but I don't put sugar in my coffee, and honestly, we don't even keep sugar in the house.

Any advice?

Go get a referral for an OGTT immediately. Show up fasting, get your blood drawn, and then they’ll have you drink the glucose solution before testing you again.
Don't try to play games by starving yourself the night before the test. That kind of "fasting" is easy to spot because you'll end up with ketones in your urine, and at the end of the day, you're just lying to yourself.😉

How old are you?

rustymoose54, insulin isn't always started right away for Type 1; it depends on that stupid "honeymoon phase" and whatever attitude your endocrinologist has about it. I didn't start taking it until four months after my diagnosis—for those first four months, I managed strictly through diet.

🙂 , it’s actually quite the opposite.
See, we aren't talking about "sleeping" while the anesthesia is active. We're talking about that 12 to 16-hour stretch after you wake up, where the lingering effects of that total muscle relaxation can really mess with your rest.😁

I just double-checked if E 330 was truly listed as a
carcinogen in that report from the Mayo Clinic.

Oh boy, here we go again with citric acid being "cancerous."😵

Seriously, Ontopic, imagine being stuck with GPs like that. Telling someone they have bacteria in their urine because of Kraft Foods? That’s some top-tier medical logic right there.😁
