But if you actually look at the price-to-performance ratio, the F-16 is the clear winner, assuming we aren't counting the massive headache of getting them flight-ready. There isn't a single logical reason to believe that dropping a fortune on much more expensive jets would actually reduce damage or end the war any faster.
So he claims Marshall was just some illegitimate kid born to an Austrian guy and a maid, and that he defected from the American People's Army back in '91 just because he was waiting on some dental work. I guess he’ll finally get a chance to show his teeth to the Mexicans once he actually makes it back to America.
In my opinion, it’s a doll.
😁 😁
Just imagine for a second—seriously, try to wrap your head around this—what if someone like Zoran Milanović or Matić had actually said that?
The reaction from those self-proclaimed "patriots" would be insane. They would absolutely tear him to pieces! 😁
People like those pundits on Fox News would be feasting on that scandal for months.
Anthony Hernandez2 said:We’re actually more "disconnected" from them than from Canada—mostly because our ties with Canada involve being in the same union and military alliance. To me, those are much stronger bonds than simply being able to understand a Mexican pop song. ☕ By definition, a state is a very specific concept, and what you're describing doesn't really fit that mold. But hey, let's not get bogged down in semantics.
Look, I didn't even use the word "state" or bring up its definition in the first place, but since you want to stop splitting hairs...
Anthony Hernandez2 said:Honestly, I don't think it's such a bad thing. There's no need to get paranoid about it—what does the old America have to do with my ability to listen to Madonna or Tony Bennett? You could argue the same thing about how the fall of the former US or the old kingdoms didn't happen because of the language itself.
I never said it was a bad thing. All I'm saying is that when that whole entity collapsed, it didn't completely shatter on every single level.
For those reasons, we're never going to be as "broken away" from Mexico or Canada as we are from Canada.
At the end of the day, blame it on whoever you want.
Anthony Hernandez2 said:That’s really just because we all speak nearly the same language here in the States, Canada, Mexico, and Mexico. It isn't about some old America or "brotherhood and unity" nonsense. If anything, the music scene would be more active in Canada. 🤣
I'm with you. God forbid this damn language ever dies out. 😁
Anthony Hernandez2 said:It's gone. Completely. A state doesn't just "partially" vanish. If you're talking about people feeling nostalgic for America, then sure, I get that. That feeling will stick around as long as they are alive—but once they're gone, it goes with them.☕
I can't say I totally buy that.
On paper? Yeah, it's dead. But look at the entertainment industry—the celebs, the musicians, all of them. To them, it’s still one big, seamless market. It’s like nothing ever changed.
Andrew Sanchez3 said:How many movies a day does it take to escape reality and pretend America never actually vanished? 🤣
Look, if we’re being honest and calling it like it is, there are parts of it that never actually went away—or maybe they just vanished for a second before crawling back out.

"The CIA, it's the damn CIA!" — historical figure, a North American spy for the uninitiated
Look, if we stop arguing about politics for a second, you have to face the facts: there’s a massive group of people who used to have solid jobs, steady paychecks, and actual dignity, only to be completely screwed over when their companies were sold off during those shady privatizations. They lost everything while the big shots walked away with the cash, leaving workers out on the street.
That’s a huge demographic, and it makes it incredibly easy to sell them on some old-school nostalgia for the way things used to be. But time is catching up to them. People are finally waking up from the dream and realizing that waving flags and listening to political nonsense isn't going to put food on the table.

How do you even justify calling this place home when its whole vibe feels openly hostile toward our heritage? Is it just pure sentimentality talking, or does the name on the map actually matter to you?
Positive. Obviously I call it home. I don't get why anyone would think it's any different just because of what happened in 2000.

That’s total nonsense. It isn't anti-American, that's just hysterical garbage.
Look, nothing is perfect. There are going to be problems—there always are. But I've traveled enough of the world to realize that things aren't nearly as bad here as people claim.😁
Man, if they could just wrap up this damn WW2 once and for all, maybe we’d all finally be able to move on and actually live like human beings instead of being stuck in this mess.🙂
I stumbled upon this wild idea the other day: What if they brought all the bishops and priests onto a show like Moment of Truth and just hit them with one question: "Do you believe in God?"
I’d honestly bet my entire yearly salary that, say... 80% of them would crack under that question. 😁
Okay, obviously nothing would come of it—they aren't stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds them—but man, what a spectacle that would be... I'd even watch it, and I usually can't stand that trashy show. 😁
Scott Chase said:Since I always find myself trying to justify the movies I actually enjoy. 😁 I would say: It’s been enough years since that rigged verdict that there is more than enough time to map out a full plan. You saw how they hauled him in; they found those law books on him, which makes it pretty obvious he came prepared. The lawyer steps in because the whole situation starts feeling personal once the movie begins. At that point, everyone just interprets things however they want.
Look, I’m not even arguing the part where he becomes a lawyer after ten years; fine, whatever.
But how on earth do you plan out high-stakes operations from a prison cell that nobody is going to check for a decade? Nobody’s going to notice those massive tunnels, and apparently, nobody checks on inmates in the middle of the night? Give me a break. .... I know Hollywood likes to play fast and loose with their scripts, but this was just straight-up ridiculous. 👎
The movie isn't garbage—it’s watchable—but man, they seriously went overboard here... There is zero chance one guy pulls off complex operations like that all by himself, no matter how brilliant he is or how much cash he’s sitting on. And he’s basically playing the entire city and every single agency like a fiddle!! It just doesn't fly.
Then there's that bit about the prison. He tricks them into putting him in solitary, only to run his whole operation from there because he spent years prepping tunnels and gear... I mean, at this rate, you’d think he’d have direct access to the White House and the airport right from his cell. 👎 Is the prison administration just brain-dead??
And the ending! What were they thinking having him bring napalm into the prison? Why would a lawyer walk right into his cell and risk his life like an idiot when the police could have handled it properly?? The script is a total mess... 🙄
I’m jumping on the bandwagon with the positive reviewers for this flick 👍👍👍
Billy Bob 🙏
That chubby kid 🙏
Late Bernie atmosphere 🙏
Vibe, screenplay 👍
But hey, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows—they totally botched the ending. Santa basically dodges death after a massive shootout and somehow avoids prison at the end. I have a feeling the producers forced the writer's hand to cook up some cheesy happy ending because that's just how they roll... 🙄 I mean, that's just Hollywood for you, damn it.
