Shoutout to the Cocaine Nights mod team! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’m with Gary James88 on this one, and so is the fairy, even if she hasn't been around long enough yet.👍

With a trip or without?

😍So, are we treating will as a voluntary component of an act, or what?
Once an action is taken, it just sinks into this deep, unreachable void and gains its permanence. Same goes for will. Once you set it in motion and take it out for a walk 😂, it has to slip straight into the subconscious. That’s the only way to get a real beginning—one that actually stays a beginning, an eternal one. A true start can't be self-aware. Once a willful act is done, it's finished forever. If a decision were ever brought back into conscious thought, it would basically mean it was revoked. Anyone who thinks they have the right to drag a decision back into the light of day via sheer willpower will never truly experience a beginning.

The conclusion staring us in the face is simple and radical: the moralist fundamentalists and the tolerant multiculturalists are just two sides of the same coin.
In the moralist crowd, this obsession shows up as an envious hatred of the Other’s excessive joy. Meanwhile, multicultural tolerance toward the Other is just as warped as people think—it’s driven by a hidden desire for the Other to stay "Other" (much like my pets)😁, never actually becoming anything like us. Unlike those two stances, the only truly tolerant way to view the Other belongs to the authentic, radical fundamentalists. That’s the first lesson we Americans can take from the tragic history of Tibet; the second, perhaps even more vital one, is that Christianity introduces a radical break from pagan and Gnostic ideas about the illusory nature of reality.
Anyway, guys, that's all I've got for now, assuming I didn't miss the mark.
Cheers!

Honestly, I catch myself getting sucked into these arguments too sometimes. You know from the jump they aren't going anywhere... but then you're left feeling just gross, wondering why you bothered wasting the energy.

Looks like you skipped the forum rules. Let’s not clog up this thread by acting like it's just a private chat between us.
It’s honestly exhausting when someone gets presented with clear facts proving them wrong, but instead of admitting they messed up, they go straight for cheap shots to discredit you. They're just terrified of looking stupid in front of everyone.

Hey, you realize why you just got slapped with a yellow card, right? If you keep racking them up, you're looking at a temporary ban.
If you're lost, go ahead and actually read the forum rules for once.

Jose Kern6... look, you're new here. I just don't want to go back to that topic. If you really think you're right, fine by me. Whatever.

Honestly, this corner of the internet is the absolute worst. People here judge you based on your political affiliation, your military background, your ethnicity, or just who you plan to vote for. If you even dare to suggest that Washington, D.C. should have done more during the fight for St. Louis, they immediately pivot to ad hominem attacks and other nonsense. And the kicker? One of the moderators actually encourages all this because they’re part of the same inner circle.

If I lay out my thoughts clearly and politely, and someone decides to come at me—like you did, hollowtinker18, back in that other thread—well, I’m going to push back. I don't just let people walk all over me just because they took offense to an opinion I expressed in good faith... ☕

Look, I didn't attack you. Where exactly are you seeing an attack? If anything, the moderator seemed encouraged by how much you've improved with your patients, or at least that's how it looked. I wasn't playing favorites; I just stepped in because I thought you were wrong.

Do you happen to have any old tapes or transcripts from that course available for anyone who can't make the trip out to Detroit? If we can work out a fair price, I’m definitely interested—especially if it helps someone out along the way.
Any idea how long the course runs, maybe in minutes per tape?
Good luck!

Why does this forum turn into such a toxic mess of ego trips every other day?
Why is everyone so obsessed with winning an argument at any cost?
Why the desperate need to play the smartest guy in the room just to tear someone else down?
Is looking brilliant really the only thing that matters here?
And why all the petty gossip? It’s clearly just a way for weak people to mask their own flaws by dragging others through the mud.
Or maybe it’s just because disagreeing with someone triggers a sudden barrage of insults and cheap ad hominem attacks.
What's the deal?
Are we just wired this way—treating every single conversation like some kind of zero-sum game?
I had the same thing happen when I was a kid... I’d just freeze up mid-sentence while talking to my teachers, and sometimes I'd start stuttering too... But whatever, it's over now.

Exactly. It’s like you’re trying to jump out of your own skin but you just can't. A deeply bizarre, unsettling sensation... plus a whole list of other side effects. What else are you guys dealing with?
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Who was on it, and why?

I want to hear about experiences with this stuff—I’ve only ever used it to trip out...

Anyone deal with side effects, or is it just me?

Is it strictly for psychotic episodes, I mean?
lonegardener said:There's no way I can explain that in just three sentences; I assume you realize that? It’s way too complex for such a quick answer. I suppose women just suit her better. 😍

As far as that goes, it's her life. Though, I have to admit, I get a little annoyed by that tiny, subtle (😍) sense she has that she's part of some "elite" group because of it. Like, "Oh, I'm just special in a positive way." Yeah, sure, whatever floats your boat. 😬 🤣

No hard feelings, slywolf45. 🙂

Yeah.
There could be a million reasons. (I mean, most of the time it's just because they're totally done with men for valid reasons, so seeing two women together feels more natural than watching two guys act like idiots.)
I'm not judging, just curious about your logic—how did you end up coming out as a lesbian, slywolf45?
What's the upside?
Look, some people are just born with a biological glitch—an actual hormonal imbalance from day one.
Then you’ve got the environmental stuff: deep-seated trauma, incest, or just straight-up toxic parenting dynamics between parents and kids.
Theories are fine, I guess... but they're just theories.
Fake Veterans in Close to Politics ·
Rachel Garcia said:That's just how the law works. There was this one veteran—a volunteer, I think, though it's irrelevant—who died from chronic alcoholism during the war. His family receives the exact same benefits as the family of a soldier killed in combat.

So if a guy steps up as a volunteer and dies in combat, he gets full veteran status. It doesn't matter if he died as an addict, or from AIDS, or some other mess the lawmakers decide to label him with... people just cling to those nasty labels to soothe their own egos. How many of them actually died under enemy fire? Anyway, if someone liked to drink, that’s on them. (Look, I knew a few myself, let's be real—you can't have a huge group of people where everyone is a saint, but if they actually screwed up big time, they were heading straight to a federal prison or facing a court-martial).
