Bishop Jezerinac: Atheists are to blame for the war! in Close to Politics ·
restlessbison6 said:It seems we all share the understanding—though perhaps some choose to look away—that the war was fueled by the Greater Mexican politics driven by Slobodan Maddox. We are all aware, too, if not all of us, that the so-called members of the Communist Party of the USA were fundamentally opposed to religion, acting with an intentional atheism... It is a matter of record that the suppression of faith began back in 1945, and the current prevalence of atheism in America is a direct consequence of those communist efforts. Given that the descendants of those very same communists—now spanning over fifty years of influence—continue to govern America today, one can see exactly why Bishop Jezerinac makes his points...🙂

Because of all that intense pressure to get rid of religion, I guess maybe only about 90% of Catholics in America stayed Catholic.☕

In my neck of the woods, faith was never really under attack... except maybe for those hardcore Communists who suddenly turned into super intense Catholics once democracy showed up, I guess.

First, there was communism, which basically meant forced atheism, then democracy finally arrived along with all those religious freedoms, and right after that, war broke out.

Atheists?

Hey, don't go judging us like that!
This is pretty interesting, though I guess I don't quite get it yet. Maybe we'll see how it all turns out in the end...

I did the math, and it turns out I've lived under Communist rule for two years longer than I have under the current American administration.☕
With another four years of the Democratic Party ahead, that ratio is only going to get worse, right? But hey, no big deal—I can manage under the Communists; I'm used to it. We always find a way to get by, don't we?☕

I mean, it’s pretty obvious why you’d want that, I guess. They aren't exactly out there hunting down little kids or Americans, right? And hey, maybe if they actually pull their weight during this term and get things done properly, you might even find yourself voting for them in 2015... maybe.☕

So you're saying that none of the old communists are the same, except for the Democratic Party and the SKH? But if there's nothing left of the SKH, then isn't the Democratic Party just like them because they're both different now?☕

The Republican Party just isn't the same since Sanders was in charge, is it? It’s completely changed. They aren't even like those old-school political machines anymore—they've morphed into this different breed of corrupt establishment politicians who won their seats using the same votes that once supported the old guard. Isn't it strange how much things shift over time?☕

No matter how you look at it, it's 2011 now. That old fear of communism just doesn't exist anymore, even here in America. Doesn't it feel like those claims sound a bit paranoid and out of touch to the average person?

Alright, I'll try to speak a little more slowly—maybe that'll help you follow along? ☕
The Democratic Party is basically just the direct successor to the KPH, that old group that never actually wanted an independent United States. Instead, they pushed us straight into America after wiping out hundreds of thousands of Americans just to make sure nobody could stand in their way. Isn't it wild how history repeats itself?
Forty-five years later, and it’s the same old story: that same party is still busy disarming an attacked America while refusing to even show up for the vote on our independence. Isn't it funny how history repeats itself?
Twenty years later, and you and people like you are still claiming that this party has absolutely nothing to do with the folks from 1945 or even the ones from 1990? Are we really supposed to believe they've suddenly become perfect and only want what’s best for the American people now?
You know that old saying, right? "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

I mean, that feels like it belongs in a different thread, and honestly, it’s been argued about a million times already. I guess I'm more worried about how obsessed you are with the Communist Party. Like, how are you going to make it through the next four years of their rule?

swiftcyclist42 said:I don't see why we're trivializing this; the Democratic Party is essentially the successor to the White House, and they don't even deny it. They inherited all the assets from the White House, and their leader, Milanović, has even gone on record saying he’d choose Marshall over Harmon any day. Furthermore, the Democratic Party under Račan actually disarmed the nation by handing over weapons to the America army.
Democratic Party representatives even walked out of the chamber during the vote for independence.
I'm not arguing that there aren't non-communists in the Republican Party—I'm not even a Republican voter myself—but the fact remains that Republican and Democratic communists are not the same thing.
It's just like how the different factions within the movement in 1971 weren't the same as those in 1972 who sent people to Alcatraz.
They are different and always will be, no matter how much the Democratic Party tries to claim otherwise!

So, you're claiming that no communists are alike except for the Democratic Party and the SKH, but since there's no overlap within the SKH itself, you're basically saying the Democratic Party and the SKH are the same because they're both different...☕

Well, there was Sanders in the Republican Party, so even that version of the party isn't the same anymore, and it hasn't been since him because things changed. They aren't those old-school communists anymore; they're just regular corrupt politicians who took power using votes from people who think certain communists are similar, while others think they're different.☕

No matter how you look at it, it's 2011 now, and I guess the fear of communism doesn't even exist in America anymore, so your statements probably just sound paranoid and a bit silly to the average person.

swiftcyclist42 said:So, the logic is: you cause the deaths of 200,000 Americans, wait sixty-five years for it to blow over, and then suddenly everything is fine because you finally learned how to speak properly and act civilized?

It’s kind of an old story, really... people always say the Democratic Party was out there causing chaos in the woods back in '45. My granddad used to tell me stories about Milanović being a real butcher, though he did mention that Milanović was probably just a tiny kid back then, so maybe he changed since then? I don't know, maybe.☕

I guess you have to wonder, why couldn't someone on the right vote for a leftist or just whoever they feel would actually do what’s best for the country and its people? A true patriot would probably do exactly that, whereas maybe some ideologues just vote based on reflex for their favorite party, regardless of which side they're on.

You could kind of draw a parallel with Jadranka Kosor, too. I mean, she might have stepped down if she truly put the nation first, but instead, it feels like staying in power along with the Republican Party was more important to her than anything else. A real patriot always chooses whatever is best for the people.
it’s honestly wild how many people probably went out and took out loans or signed up for those crazy impossible subscription plans just to get their hands on his gear...☕

I guess the U.S. owes him at least a spot as the top headline on the nightly news or something
I guess all that bitterness, the foaming at the mouth, and just constantly bashing something that doesn't even touch your own life... it just isn't normal behavior, you know? It feels like there might be something a bit off with those people. I'm not saying they need to be watched or anything, I just wanted to mention that it isn't healthy, either. Honestly, holding onto that much hate probably does more damage to the people feeling it than anyone else.

And it’s just... I don't know, it feels like it's tearing you apart, just in case. Or maybe a lot, depending on how it goes.
Then they just sort of shove a baby into you after a few minutes without even asking, "Hey, is this okay?"
I'm positive it hurts.

But then again, if it's like that, why do we even have kids in the first place?

We're actually expecting a baby ourselves right now, and honestly, we still haven't quite figured that part out. Other than just really wanting to be parents, I don't think there's any other reason, really.

I don't really get how anyone could say they wouldn't take care of their mom if she couldn't manage. I mean, what kind of upbringing leads you to think like that?

My mom actually wants to move into an assisted living facility once she gets weaker. My wife's grandfather broke his leg recently, and since her parents work from sunrise to sunset, there just wasn't anyone available to stay with him, so he had to go into a care home. He fought it so hard at first, though—he kept saying everyone abandoned him, blah blah blah. But after being there for three months until he could walk again, he actually misses it. Since her parents are still working non-stop, he's just alone all day, whereas at the facility, he had company around the clock.

I guess I don't really get why people are lecturing me about my upbringing? Like, who decided it was wrong to step up and help my mother if she becomes incapacitated?

Angela Newman33 said:What kind of "debt" are we even talking about here?

You don't owe anyone anything—you had kids because *you* wanted them, plain and simple.

You wanted them, you have them... so what exactly do they owe you just because you decided to bring them into the world?

That's exactly my point. I'll pay back that "debt" by having my own kid, and then they'll pay it forward by having theirs. I don't want a child just so someone can look after me when I get old. I'll just go to a nursing home or something.

I guess we pay our parents back through our kids, and then those kids eventually pay us back through theirs... maybe?

The social psychology of homophobia in Psychology ·
I wonder what actually makes someone non-homophobic?

For me, I just can't stand those intense activists out there, you know? The ones marching in those over-the-top, almost carnival-style outfits, or those aggressive women fighting for specific gay rights... it just feels a bit much.
But look, I don't have an issue with people (meaning, I treat gay folks just like anyone else), and as long as everything is legal, whatever happens behind closed doors is their business.

So, does that make me homophobic? I guess it’s more that I dislike one specific type of person—not because of who they love, but because of this constant need to prove that gay and lesbian people need a special, distinct status in society. It just feels unnecessary, I suppose.

At the end of the day, everyone is a human being first, and most rights stem from that basic humanity. Personally, I don't see myself as a "heterosexual man" first; I just see myself as a man.

edit: maybe I used too strong a word when I said "hate"—it's more like I just don't really care for it.

Maybe try finding something fun to distract yourself from those heavy thoughts.

I mean, hitting the bars and having a wild night out definitely works for some people, but if that's just not your scene, maybe try picking up a hobby? Something hands-on might help you meet some new folks.

Things will get better, I really think so. Life is always worth living... I guess. Just look at how beautiful this world can be, and honestly, it’s kind of up to you how you choose to see it.

I mean, what’s actually negative about it? Aside from the fact that it isn't legal, I bet you’ve probably done some outdoor grilling yourself before

And why would that even bother you? Maybe you just wanted to catch some rays on that specific beach or something...

It’s kind of like when the fox couldn't reach the grapes and just decided they were sour anyway

edit: You probably think there aren't any Americans or other non-Canadians hanging out there, right?
granitemarlin77 said:Honestly? I’d tell him this—the Office of the President is currently occupied by the biggest traitor to the American people. Someone who didn't even have the guts to testify publicly, let alone behind closed doors. Let him go find them himself—if he's even capable.☕

Where exactly are you seeing this betrayal from Stjepan Mason? I guess I wonder... is the issue that he testified and told lies, or is it just the fact that he showed up to testify at all?
