Bryan Barrett said:From what I’ve gathered, most of the newer crowd seems to be playing Justin Taylor. 😁 It’s mostly just St. Anger and maybe one or two other tracks, while everything else remains the classic stuff from Load and Reload. 😛 😁
It honestly feels like they barely touch anything from Load or Reload when they perform. Most of the setlists seem to lean heavily on Blacko and a good amount of Ride the Lightning.

I remember saying the exact same thing after seeing Depeche Mode, but I guess I'm still hanging around.😁> No... now I can actually die happy once I get to see Nine Inch Nails on March 3rd, catch Metallica (because of all the intense stuff), and of course, I still need to see DM live, and I really need to experience Paradise Lost in person at least once... It looks like I won't be checking out anytime soon.🤔 😁
I’ve heard stories like that before... honestly, I wouldn't have believed them if I hadn't seen how much physical pain can just hollow a person out. But emotional pain—if that's even the right way to put it—is a whole different beast entirely. It hits harder than anything else. I know from my own experience how much a deep depression can just consume me. Within a few days, I can lose weight rapidly, start shaking, and feel completely physically drained. So, if someone is hit by that kind of grief three times harder than average, to the point where it's literally killing them, it really isn't hard to see how it could happen. It’s not like you just get cut open and die on the spot... but yeah, it's definitely possible.
Kevin Chavez3, you really have a knack for keeping yourself entertained, I have to hand it to you!
Anyway, getting back to what we were actually talking about... I heard someone managed to snag an entire Skinny Puppy album somewhere, but I don't have the link. If anyone happens to know where it's at, please let me know.
Goooth, Bryan Martin31, you really brought this dead thread back to life. 😲 I managed to find an amazing source for CDs, but they don't have any Skinny Puppy. Thanks, Bryan Martin31, I'll definitely pick up the one you suggested 😉
Wisdom is really just the intersection where knowledge, intelligence, and spirituality all meet. To me, being truly wise means having the clarity to make the right call even when you're stuck in the most complicated situations, and possessing that innate ability to cut through the noise to reach a necessary conclusion quickly and simply.
So, at the end of it all, there are a few wise words shared by the black character... God forbid that He would give humanity a physical shape, and then go and make it male, and then top it off by choosing a dark skin tone 😲 😁
I finally sat down to watch that movie starring Jim Carrey today, and honestly, it was fantastic. I found myself laughing out loud, but what really caught me off guard were those moments of profound, spiritual wisdom scattered throughout the story. It’s actually quite refreshing to see these kinds of themes being explored in mainstream cinema; it feels like we're seeing more and more New Age elements creeping into our media, which I personally view as a very positive shift in our culture. Has anyone else seen it yet, and what are your thoughts?

Where exactly is it written that you can't discover real values when you're seventeen? My Dying Bride is actually a great band, and I have no idea why anyone would label them as being just for women.
Kenneth Reed2 said:Back when I was really getting into this stuff, doom metal was the way to go. My Dying Breed and Anathema were absolute legends back then...
That is exactly how I feel about it too.🙏 🙏 🙏 Those classic acts like Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, and Anathema... those are the real bands right there.
Is it ever time to throw in the towel when you feel like you’ve exhausted every single option left on the table? When your strength is completely drained? When the motivation and the will have just evaporated after a thousand failed attempts...
How do you actually decide whether to quit or to keep pushing?
Is there any point in fighting a battle that you already know is lost? Why would there be?
Or should you just let it all go.....
How do you recognize that specific line where you need to stop everything and just surrender to the flow?
What happens once we give up, and what comes after that.....?🙂 🙂 😕
There are people who keep fighting even though they know their struggle is useless and unnecessary, while others choose to walk away even when staying would be beneficial and right. The best thing to do is to pause and really think about whether you are fighting for a meaningful cause and a true goal, or if you are just tilting at windmills. If you still have even a tiny shred of hope, and if you truly believe that making an impact is possible—even if it feels like everything is lost right now—then don't give up.
