Haha, dustycanyon6, yeah, I know the US is falling apart too 😁, but what you're talking about isn't really the point. There are certain symptoms Western medicine just can't fix, or at least struggles with. Take migraines, for example. Pills aren't going to make them vanish... they'll stick around until you figure out how to heal yourself. Or rather, until you try different methods.

That’s why alternative medicine exists. Sometimes those approaches are actually more effective because they look at the whole person, not just a symptom.

Western medicine hasn't helped me in a few instances either. You just have to realize it simply doesn't cure everything. No sense getting angry about it... better to just explore other options. 😉
From what I gather, the USA has one of the worst healthcare systems out there compared to Western Europe. Everything is private—the insurance, the hospitals... there’s this massive pressure to cut costs, which explains why the USA sees such high mortality rates in areas like dialysis. Over there, healthcare is treated as a profit center rather than a fundamental right. And of course, that right depends on how resources are distributed, which isn't quite the same in the USA as it is in Europe. You have to factor that in. Then again, the USA was never really known for being a welfare state to begin with.

It's a shame. Honestly, when they're putting this much money into big commercial Hero projects, they could have included Samsara... which wasn't available in the US either.

I mean, aren't you basically just summarizing the whole movie?

That stuff with the Emperor was brutal... 😁

Honestly, the only part worth watching in Break the Cat and Flying Snow is that final five minutes or so. Everything else is predictable from the jump, or at least once the emperor realizes what's actually going on—both the characters and the audience. The whole movie is basically a fake plot that unfolds into the real one, which just turns into more aerial combat... basically a repeat of the first half. Enjoy the flight.

ruggedmarlin15, looks like you know your way around Napa Valley. Did they show Samsara there? That movie did pretty well in the indie circuit and at festivals...

Caught it in theaters... honestly, pretty underwhelming. I was hoping for more drama, but since the whole thing is told through flashbacks—everything already happened—there’s really no tension. The movie spends the entire runtime just setting the stage for the finale, which turns out to be predictable and only feels intense for maybe five minutes at most. As for the cinematography... sure, the colors are nice, but Noah Harris50, if you've seen Samsara on the big screen, this doesn't even come close. The central conflict is also a mess. It's hard to tell when the fights are meant to be symbolic and when they should actually feel real, given that everything is presented in this "symbolic" style with shots of trees passing by and fighting against literal rain of arrows...

PEONIJA said:Casey Palmer5, crocodiles are those spinal exercises you do lying on your back, arms spread wide, palms up. You rotate your head left and right while moving your legs to the opposite side. You follow a specific order, doing each movement 20 times from your feet all the way up to your neck. I've been doing this daily and haven't twisted anything once... my lower back doesn't even ache anymore. I think it might be some kind of Yoga, but I'm not sure. Do you know?

Sounds like it comes from Yoga. It's great for abdominal blockages and imbalances too. In a Yoga studio, they usually do it with palms down for stability. You can move dynamically or just hold the pose. An advanced version involves lying on your back, legs straight up at a right angle toward the ceiling, feet parallel to the ceiling, arms extended... then lowering the legs to one side while turning your head to the other. Relax in that position with legs lowered, head turned, then lift them back up and go to the other side, slowly.
It clears stress in the gut and eases fear. It’s calming.
Strengthens the core muscles while relaxing the spine through a "spinal twist."

Wish I could do this right now, but I ate way too much!

Heh, what a bunch of clowns. I honestly didn't think I'd live long enough to hear a group play a flag pole like a flute... and they call themselves a band? Are those actually people?🙄

Ha, what a joke. Who are these losers? Honestly, even the local troublemakers just hang out in front of the bar all day without picking fights, but these guys apparently have nothing better to do than head straight to a jail cell in Kansas City. Total kids. I’ve seen grown men with more maturity than this lot... they're clearly stunted. We really need to pick up the pace on those highway construction projects this summer. Put them all on community service for a few years until they actually learn something useful.

gotta say... Björk live, and on WorldWide too... nice...

Speaking of Giles, you can still hear WorldWide in his
show... maybe I'll catch him at South by Southwest..👍 or maybe Trüby has taken over by now? Anyway, last time he played, he had DJ Gregory on, who was spinning some mix of his own, and then Giles closed things out with something totally otherworldly

Gal Costa - 'Team Das Onze' (Fontana) 🙏 🙏

sounded just like those Brazilian spiritual tracks 🙂

Matthew Herbert is a genius. Giles isn't quite doing the same thing, but he built the scene, acid jazz, and he’s got the Talking Loud label.

Which Yukimi Nagano? The one from Ninth Wave? She's incredible.

And anyway, TeleDubGnosis is a project from the former drummer of Swans, who apparently was also in Prong. The name sounded a bit familiar... heard something yesterday and haha, I can't believe the Swans vibe is going to haunt me. If you listen closely, you can tell—pretty dark stuff... perfect for driving late at night 😉 😁 😁

Giles? 😁 how was it? I think he’s at his best during a club set, but once he moves into a big hall, that energy just gets lost...!

like Lambchop - is a woman, really good, chill

Haha, did you hear his magicAndaccidental LP... bodily functions!? It’s the best! Jazz singing.

Not sure if I should post this here, so whatever—just try to keep it down—it's called TELEDUBGNOSIS,
and their LP is titled MAGNETIC LEARNING CENTER,
released on WORDSOUND

and it ought to be something phenomenal!

I haven't heard them myself, but the guy (Fritz Ostermayer) played them (a friend told me) (on the Graue Lagune-siva show) and I checked it out, because I know the guy has incredible musical knowledge and taste (he got me into Dr. Rockit, and before him, Herbert—you know, that phenomenal thing, Café de flora?; then the Flaming Lips way back, and a ton of other stuff...), so if he plays something, it actually means something. And this already sounds... intense... hehe. Picking it up soon, just a feeling. 😉

(Morris, if you're reading this, it's worth it for you too... even though Bush is getting what's coming to him when I get to San Diego! 😉

Yeah, I was all for those fake degrees from Africa too... pay $100 and suddenly you're a doctor 😁 😁 for real! 🙂

But seriously. Nothing hits the reset button quite like a deep Shiatsu massage. I used to go for regular sessions—maybe two or three months straight, once a week. It wasn't cheap, about $45 an hour, but man... it was worth it. Total transformation. I was completely burnt out before, but afterward? Just pure energy to channel. I'm actually getting ready to start up again after a four-month break just to decompress. *sigh*
