Look, wearyowl29—you’re just venting aimlessly here. Why dump your own unresolved baggage onto the next generation of Millennials? There are all kinds of people out there... just think about what you're passing down to these kids before you pass it on, lest they end up stuck cleaning up your mess too...
Values don't just vanish; you show them through your actions. The toys might change, but human nature stays exactly the same...
So... I've got a younger brother. A good kid. I’ve had my fair share of influence on him, even if I wasn't trying to shape him directly. Looking back, I realize I was actually quite a handful... plus my usual "disciplinary measures" 😉 😁... music, keeping things open, variety... just talking. You don't tell them straight up that something is bad; you just steer the conversation until they get there themselves, more or less. Kids don't learn from what we show them or what we say... they learn from who we actually are.
It's pretty great seeing him develop his own taste—even if it was a bit shocking at first 😁—his own direction, his own opinions. 👍 Cheers to the kids!
Give me a break! What is wrong with you people? Sorry, old timers, but your bitterness is showing from a mile away. Seriously, loosen up a bit... stop clinging to all this negativity. Are you doing it on purpose?.. Everything moves, everything changes—that’s the one thing we can actually count on. Just take a breath for once... what's the point of all this spirituality if it's just escapism? If you're going to preach freedom, at least try living it... go out, meet some happy people, be more open.....and the beat goes on!

But me? If you have an issue calling something out or saying it's wrong, just tell me. I'll be the one to judge them and give them exactly what they deserve...😉 😁 😁
Fred, you're right. There’s no unity as long as people aren't at peace with themselves. As long as ignorance exists—and thank God there's plenty left on this planet—there will be suffering, war, pain... basically, an ignorance toward others born from an ignorance of one's own inner self. Call it karma, evolution, spirit, energy, consciousness, whatever... all those attempts, whether by the clueless or the slightly less clueless, stem from the same source. It's about using external experiences to find the path inward. And of course, external sensations feel infinitely more powerful than what's happening inside, so that kind of ignorance is actually pretty understandable.
In that light, I really like the idea Swami Samarpandana shared with me: being like a Lotus. Having deep, strong roots, drawing nourishment from the basics—water, earth—while living in the light. =) That’s the core symbolism of the Lotus, after all.
haha! full moons definitely mess with those mystical vibes... they come from deep inside, purely intuitive. there's just this specific energy in the air. and i don't know, maybe those archetypes are shaking you up 😁 😁
i've been feeling pretty calm lately, just slowly finding my center again. I know some people are getting restless, tossing and turning because their intuition won't let them sleep. 😉

Time to plant seeds—literally, and figuratively... Back during Imbolc, it was all about planning. Now, it's time to actually get moving on those projects.
**** (anyway, guess where the tradition of dyeing eggs comes from—as a symbol of new life...😉 )
What are you, a Taurus or something? 😁 😁
Don't know about the egg thing, but you just reminded me of that song from Beautiful Village Beautiful Mountain 😁 😁 😁
"Drug abuse rewires the brain, messing with its entire motivational system," says Alan Leshner, head of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, following extensive research on addiction. MRI scans and other modern tech are finally proving what people have suspected for decades—and what animal studies hinted at—that an addict's brain is physically and chemically different from a healthy one. It turns out that a series of neurobiological shifts marks the transition from voluntary use to that "compulsive" stage of addiction. The biggest takeaway? Using cocaine, heroin, nicotine, amphetamines, and other drugs disrupts the chemical processes responsible for that sense of pleasure we all know...
thank God they finally confirmed what’s been obvious for ages. plus, this is just the physical side of things. on a deeper psychological level, there's way more going on... especially within that motivational system itself.
Listening to Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield 🙂, The Clash is the foundation... 👍 then Windy & Carl for those consciousness vibes and yeah 😉... all that stuff you listed... just terrifying!
