Honestly, I bathe more to chill out than to actually get clean. I mean, obviously bathing is healthier than just being gross and unwashed, but whatever...
I don't really try to avoid door handles, but about half the time I just instinctively use my elbow or my sleeve to turn them. If it’s a door without a lock—just standard hinges—I’ll just shoulder it open. It’s automatic. Generally, I’d much rather touch metal than plastic. I wash my hands when I get home, after using the bathroom, or after touching something dusty (like hauling firewood inside). But I’m not obsessively scrubbing my hands after every little thing. On the subway, I know I’m stuck holding the handrail, and honestly, it doesn't bother me. If someone next to me is actually gross and stinks, then I'll move away. No point in making a scene and freaking out the whole train over it. As for handshakes—I actually appreciate it when someone has clean hands. But I wouldn't mind shaking hands with, say, an auto mechanic. It's way more disgusting to shake hands with someone who has spotless hands but reeks of sweat.
I skip breakfast because my morning meal is basically just junk. Either I sleep in too late and feel like an idiot eating at 11 AM, or I’m rushing out the door and end up grabbing some toast and canned meat with a glass of milk—totally trash. Even when I do go the cereal route, it’s bad. I just bought a massive box of plain oats, but those are boring as hell on their own, so I end up buying honey rings, caramel rice, or granola mixes that are loaded with sugar. I tried making my own stuff with nuts, honey, and dried fruit once, but it was way too expensive since I'm a total cheapskate... I could only afford throwing in some Brazil nuts, dried papaya, and other random crap...

Same here... if I ended up in the water right next to a massive ship, I'd lose it immediately.
Why not here? I’ve got massive acrophobia—even being three feet off the ground messes with me. I used to think I was claustrophobic too, until I met a woman who actually struggles with it. She gets legit panicked just being stuck in a car or a bus. For me, it's different... if something is right in my face, I feel like I can't breathe immediately.
MisterNo said:if you actually listen to Super Trooper and Iza 9 Sela with an objective ear, you'll realize maybe 5% of the chorus is similar and that's it. nothing else. try a simple experiment: strip the melody from both tracks. if you do that, you'll see they aren't even close...
They're definitely similar. Like, 80% similarity in the choruses, easy. Try writing them out on sheet music if you think you're so smart. Just pull the melodic sequence and basic rhythm and you'll see...
Man, I seriously can't even handle a hit of smoke anymore. I was smoking for about a year, maybe two packs a day... then I caught some nasty virus with a throat infection and just called it quits. Never went back. There are times I'm dying to light up, but honestly? If I actually took a drag, it would hit my lungs so hard I'd probably throw up on the spot. So yeah, haven't touched a cigarette since. Even now, sometimes I'll be having a beer and think about lighting one up, but I know the second I take that first puff, I'd regret it and just ruin everything I've done to quit
Never been, though I wouldn't mind going. I don't plan things weeks out... I just hear about a movie, decide it's a must-watch, and hit the theater once it drops. If there’s too much hype, I’ll wait for the dust to settle because I can't stand a packed house. After the movie? Depends on the mood. No real rules...

What about monocytes? Aren't those usually the first red flag for mono? (Asking because I dealt with this before and my monocytes spiked, which made everyone suspect mono)
look, if you eat something in the morning, you're definitely flushing it out by tomorrow. guaranteed. okay, you don't have to demolish a Double Quarter Pounder with fries right now, but maybe some soup or a pudding... yeah, pudding could work instead of oatmeal. as for the oatmeal—nobody expects you to gorge yourself! just have a few bites for lunch and call it a day. don't eat anything else after that.
Zachary Bennett7 said:It’s the exact opposite for me. For example, I can't get out of bed in the morning no matter if I slept 6, 7, 8, or 9 hours...
Actually, I'm pretty much the same. If I hit the sack at 11 PM or 4 AM, I’m still waking up around 10. The only difference is if I stay up late, I have to nap in the afternoon just to survive the exhaustion...
On the other hand—honestly, maybe it's just laziness. Back when I worked 7 AM shifts, I was fine. Getting up was a struggle, sure, but I’d be functional within 15 minutes. And I rarely needed those afternoon naps back then. But yeah—if I went to bed after 11 PM, mornings were a total disaster...
Jesse Sullivan2 said:Yeah, you can definitely catch HIV! Condoms help, sure, but they aren't a magic shield. I can't give you exact percentages because even the CDC scientists can't agree on everything perfectly. The fact that she's on her period definitely bumps up the risk...
Look, when "scientists" say condoms don't offer 100% protection, and then the box says the same thing, it’s just legal jargon. It's basically just the manufacturer covering their ass so they don't get sued. You can't be 100% sure about anything, especially this stuff. Just think about how much crap can actually leak through latex. Honestly, surgical gloves seem way more porous than a condom does.
Bottom line: you can get infected if you come into direct contact with someone's blood, and since it's her period, only you know if that happened.
Gregory Turner71 said:Yeah... that whole smell thing is total BS. Unless you’re doing heavy manual labor, if you just wash your feet, pits, and junk, you can go a few days without being a walking biohazard.
Look, you don't need to shower every single day, but after a couple of days it gets nasty, trust me. I know because my old landlord (honestly, I hope she drops dead in a ditch) used to only let me shower once a week on Wednesdays. And she'd turn off the water heater in between. I just waited until my rent was paid up for the month and then bailed... realized pretty quick that after three days you start smelling unbelievable. Obviously, I was hitting up a buddy's place to shower way more than once a week during those weeks.
Two questions 1. What actually are hemorrhoids? 2. What does it even look like? I honestly have zero clue, so I can't even tell if I've dealt with this before or not...
Ugh, I went through this exact same thing back when I was hitting my teens, maybe around 16. My nose wouldn't stop bleeding... absolute nightmare. Never even bothered seeing a doctor, it just stopped on its own eventually.
Sarah Long said:I honestly don't even get the question... 😕 I mean, what does radiation actually do besides tanking your immune system or making hair fall out? It's not like people are gonna spontaneously combust just sitting next to a power plant while it's running... 😕 😕
He's probably just asking so folks don't accidentally irradiate everything around them.
