Indianapolis Motor Speedway is out :-(((((( in Formula 1 ·
Damon Hill: "It's very sad. The sad fact is, the show goes where the money is, and that should worry every true motor racing fan."

If that’s actually the case, we’re looking at a total tragedy...
Personally, I’d push for a 25-race calendar. Have a race every two weeks and maybe we wouldn't be stuck staring at a massive gap between seasons. It makes zero sense for these multi-millionaire suits to take a five-month vacation while the rest of us are left hanging. If they’re claiming they need the downtime because they're overworked, then fine—tell them to cut back on the testing sessions instead...
But honestly? It feels like those afternoon races are becoming a relic. We're probably going to be waking up at the crack of dawn just to catch the action more and more often...

Carol Ortiz4 said:Yeah, I noticed the same thing... I wasn't there all that much, but when I did pay attention, it was clear even in Switzerland that having that last name carries some serious weight. 😁

Look, I headed over to Switzerland once to check out the Indy Motor Speedway, and wouldn't you know it? I ran into two Schumachers right then and there...

A buddy of mine ended up in a fender bender with some red subcompact driving on foreign plates... and when the cop shows up, he grabs the guy's license and shoves it right in his face... get this, the guy's last name is actually Schumacher! 😁

But seriously, take a look at the threads I’ve actually started. My grandma and a Ferrari, Mason in Jordan, the official notice...

Still feeling brave, are we? 😁

Not to brag or anything, but today, July 13, 2004, I finally cleared Calculus III... Just wanted to let everyone know who you're dealing with here... because apparently, I'm sitting on the other side of this screen as a total genius.😁

Charles Martin78 said:Personally, I think a summer break would be great. We could run winter races on snow with chains on the tires, where they have to scrape ice off the driver's helmet just to see. At least during the summer, you could actually enjoy a Sunday at the beach instead of obsessing over some mindless race...

Don't worry, they’d probably schedule five or six races in the Sahara just to dodge a stray raindrop. You really think a bit of snow would catch them by surprise when we haven't seen a single drop of rain all season?

James Roberts87 said:There's plenty of downtime between races, so they need a break too.

Sure, maybe the mechanics need some sleep, but the drivers and team bosses pulling in at least a million bucks a year? They don't deserve a single second of rest!

I'm getting sick of this crap.

Honestly, I’d much rather they ditch these constant weekly schedules. Give me 19 races spread out every two weeks instead. At least then we could get the off-season over with faster. It feels like the most exciting part of NASCAR has become the very beginning... you can tell how the whole season is going to play out just by watching the opening rounds.
So, word on the street is that Montoya didn't even bother calling his teammate to check if he was doing alright after the crash.

JPM: ''Maybe I'll get someone to send him a message. What would I say? DID IT HURT? I actually don't get on badly with him.''

Is Formula 1 going to take a massive hit now that Max Mosley is out? Personally, I think they will.

Meanwhile, Toyota already gave the green light that Ralf is their driver from 2005 through 2007.
Robin Fisher53 said:Yeah...

There’s a poll over on the NASCAR site asking who’s going to be driving most of the races, and Villeneuve is sitting pretty at 70%...
Sounds like wearyraven41 has way too much free time on his hands since he finished that exam....
🙂

I used to be convinced that the absolute worst thing you could face in a NASCAR crash was just a little jolt...

As for those polls... the second someone finds out there's a poll featuring Jacques on some random website, they blast it out on his fan page, and then everyone rushes over to dump their votes until he's leading by a mile.😁

I’m asking all my friends—and even my "enemies" on this forum—to keep their fingers crossed for me until noon tomorrow. Maybe throw a prayer my way tonight, too!

It’s June 28, 2004, which means today, I finally passed that math exam with flying colors! 😁 Is it just me, or are you guys slow with the good vibes? 🙂 🙂 🎉 👋 👋 👏 🙂

wearyraven41 said:Haha, I totally forgot I used to run the oldest Formula 1 website in the country!MY OWN!

And honestly, does anyone else have a better backstory than mine? Check this out:

Back when I was gathering content for my site, I found this one anti-Schumacher guy who had links to all sorts of other pages. Once I finished building my own, I shot him an email letting him know about the new site so he’d add me to his list...
On my page, I actually listed myself right next to Schumacher and Villeneuve in a "biography" section. But it wasn't my actual bio—it was just the biography of Albert Einstein, where I swapped his name for mine and only changed the birth year...

The guy eventually emails me back saying he loves the site, but he's actually more interested in my "scientific research" which he read about in my bio. He said he was just a little confused as to how I could have been born in 1982 but managed to publish groundbreaking papers back in the 1850s....

They build sites... not to support someone, but to take someone down...

God, I hate having to explain this over and over...
1. A site is built both FOR someone and AGAINST someone else.
2. This specific site is designed to compare two drivers...
3. The whole thing is just pure satire and mockery...

Honestly, hitting 100 wins seems a lot more realistic than snagging 10 titles.
What's the consensus here?

ambermoose12, are you seriously trying to peddle that outdated version of Formula 1? Just shoot me an email at my address: the_damson@gmail.com.

I'm sure he's giving us his best. When Sonny's in the car, he just does what he was born to do."

Rick Mears has always been a class act. If you're letting a driver walk, there’s no point in badmouthing them... unlike someone like David Richards.
