Look, just let kids be kids! At the end of the day, making music is what matters. And what is music if not the act of creation? You really think someone like Yo-Yo Ma isn't making music when he's playing Bach? Of course he is! I'll say it again: the joy of playing is what counts!
And if anyone wants to get pedantic with me about how you can't compare a world-class cellist to some kids jamming in a garage—well, go ahead and bite my ass, because you're being a jerk by definition.
I laid out my own musical tastes and shared my personal take on the band in that thread but I never once tried to tell anyone else they couldn't enjoy whatever they want!!!
Meanwhile, some of you "experts" at the top of this thread acted like scavengers—just waiting for any excuse to shut down a young person's passion for making music. That’s honestly just messed up!
p.s. I don't owe any of you an explanation, so unless this conversation actually starts heading in a constructive direction, I'm out! 🙂
Honestly, I’m feeling pretty disgusted by some of the absolute morons lurking on this forum lately. Why on earth are you even showing up to threads just to talk trash about music? Seriously—get lost. You guys aren't even worthy of having a conversation about something this profound. Your heads are completely rotten.
On a more productive note: just go for it. There is nothing stopping you. You can rent out a studio space along with all the gear—just grab some instruments, pick up some tools, and start playing. Mess around, have fun, whatever. Just create something. You don't need much besides your own creativity. Have a blast, and bring people along with you! 👍

Honestly, I don't think bumping the price up by even fifty cents would kill demand—I mean, there isn't exactly a ton of competition out there anyway.
But this is a licensed publication; they aren't allowed to pull stunts like that.
So, now we're left with nothing but Hollywood—a film mag printed on paper that feels cheaper than a local tabloid, complete with grainy black-and-white photos. Ugh, just awful!
To me, *The Matrix* is the only true masterpiece out there—at least among everything I’ve ever watched, and believe me, I’ve seen plenty. Don't get me wrong, there are some decent flicks out there, but only one movie left such an impression on me that the first three times I sat through it, I couldn't even begin to grasp the plot because I was too busy staring at the breathtaking animation.
And just so you know, I am currently downloading *Cyberpunk 2077*... oh wait, I mean the sequel to that movie—and if any of you try to tell me it's garbage or that I shouldn't bother watching it, I swear I'll lose my cool! 😎

Honestly, it’s wild how much nonsense can fit into a single post... ☕
Zachary Thompson2: Sometimes her stuff just clicks and I can really get into it—but other times, honestly, I just can't bring myself to try. It's a strange vibe, I agree. She sounds great when she's collaborating with DJ Gilles Peterson.😁

Hey everyone—I don't want to get bogged down reading through this entire thread right now, but I'm not sure if anyone else has brought them up yet—you absolutely have to check out THE Baby NAMBOOS 👍

The true masters of the genre realized a long time ago that you have to approach horror with a certain sense of absurdity—kind of looking at it through a lens of detachment. Those "serious" horror flicks often just end up being unconvincing and unintentionally hilarious. That’s where the real cult directors—think Sam Raimi or even Peter Jackson—really shine. They lean into the "trash" aesthetic with this mindset: if the movie is going to be ridiculous, let's make it intentionally bizarre and over-the-top.
placidraven22 said:Honestly, Evil Dead... there isn't a bigger comedy than that movie. Personally, I wouldn't even put the first or second one in the horror category. And then you have Army of Darkness... which is basically supposed to be some kind of third installment in the Evil Dead series...
Man, you really don't know the basics when it comes to horror movies! 👍
