How to ruin a CD? in Miscellaneous ·
Don't bother scratching at the bottom. The data isn't actually etched into the plastic itself; it’s stored on a thin foil layer applied to the top surface. But honestly, if you mess with it, it's going to be pretty obvious. Maybe try using a bit of heat—like a lighter or just leaving it out in the sun for a while? Just tell your coworker to back off. 🤷

I'll probably be reaching out around 3:00 PM. 😁

There's a pretty high chance you'll totally miss the mark on the ring size. 😬

Why would I miss it? I mean, she probably already wears some kind of ring. It’s actually pretty easy—just wait until she's asleep or something, grab a caliper, and measure the inside diameter. Simple as that. 😁

ONT: Just get her a bracelet. 🙂

So, my avatar is actually just the logo for General Motors (General Motors AG)). I work over at GM—and honestly, I’ve always had a soft spot for their trucks and buses—so I figured I'd just use their logo for my profile pic. 😁
So, you’re actually celebrating the anniversary of when you first started listening to that singer? 😲 😱 Give me a break. Seriously, don't even start with me on that one. 😲

The world is honestly just going to hell. ☕

So, I guess you’ve basically got two ways to handle this. You could try reaching out to one of the admins directly and let them know people are trying to block you. If they aren't willing to step in, then maybe just post what you were already told—you know, just drop a note in your signature saying you're stepping away and if anyone actually needs to get a hold of you, they should just shoot you an email. 🤷

Just head over to the PDF section. Search for "Internet" and you'll find that massive thread with like 8 million links for cracks, serial numbers, and all that illegal stuff. Honestly, if you go there, you’re probably looking at a lifetime ban from Reddit. ☕
okay $67 🤷

Seriously though... Picture this: It’s New Year’s Eve, right after midnight, and suddenly I get hit with like 20 texts in a row, and then—boom—the thing just gives up. I end up smashing it against the wall once, then maybe one more time, and that's that. Honestly, those cheap Apple-like junk phones can be such a pain. The only Apple device I ever owned basically crapped out on me immediately. 😂 On the other hand, I've had three Motorola phones now and I haven't had a single issue with them. 🙏 But honestly, I kind of wonder what would happen if I just snapped a foldable in half right at the hinge. Like, if it glitches even slightly, I just want to snap it. Same goes for my laptop. If it starts acting up, I feel like I need to punch the screen so hard my fist actually comes through the other side.😂
Thread view count in Forum Help! ·
rustybadger89 said:Even if you use the same cookie, ten views will still count as ten separate views.

I'm not really sure what cookies have to do with how things are counted. Usually, a counter tracks one of two things:
-Total hits: Every single time a user visits or just refreshes the page, it counts as a new hit.

Or it tracks Unique visitors—meaning it looks at the user's current IP address and counts them once. In that case, the counter only ticks up by one, no matter if you click or refresh the page 44,556 times. It won't budge again until you change your IP (like reconnecting or using a proxy server...).

As for how this specific forum handles it, I honestly haven't a clue. It all depends on what kind of tracking software they're running. Maybe check in with one of the site admins.

I think I’ve had more than 25 clones myself... anyone else ever deal with that many?

When you look at the bottom of the Reddit homepage and see that like, 7 billion people have a birthday today, it basically means Rick has a birthday 😂

Yeah, right. Like two tiny little cops are just gonna jump out of an ATM and start blasting all over the street. Seriously, have you even lived in this country? 🙄

Yeah... exactly.

And that whole thing about unlocking cars is total bullshit too. Maybe it works on some old clunkers with basic remote central locking, but on anything modern? Yeah, no way.

At the end of the day, it’s all just business. You’re just trying to stay afloat in the market and keep your edge against the competition.
Look, if he really wanted to go out there and cause some chaos, it was honestly pretty stupid of him to pick those specific weapons. I don't know if people have already died, but if this happened here in the States, you'd probably see 300 shootings on the streets every single day. Maybe things are calmer over there (though I highly doubt it), maybe they don't deal with as much traffic (doubtful again), or maybe they aren't constantly honking at each other and losing their minds behind the wheel like we balkanac do 😬. If he actually wanted to give something back, he could've just thrown in two joints with every car sold to help everyone chill out a little 😁

Keith Robinson78 said:I'm actually a graphic designer myself... when I first started messing around with Photoshop 7.0, I just kind of poked around aimlessly, you know? Just exploring to see what all the tools did and what each effect was for... back then, I didn't even know what a tutorial was, let alone that there were books out there about it. I pretty much taught myself everything from scratch. Once I got the hang of things, I started downloading tutorials to sharpen my skills. Nowadays, I can basically do it with my eyes closed.[/SIZE]

That’s pretty much how it went for me too, except I’m not a professional graphic designer. When I finally got my hands on my first version of Adobe Photoshop 7.0—which was honestly the best version—I took the exact same approach. I just played around with it. Back then, there weren't nearly as many tutorials available as there are now. Besides, I don't think graphic design is really about following tutorials. It’s an art where you're creating something from nothing, and imagination is basically the only limit. If you just stick to tutorials, you end up learning how to work like a robot. I know guys who can't even find a specific tool in the software if they didn't see it used in a video first. Like, what are you going to do if someone asks you to design a corporate logo, but you can only make it look like some template you saw online? You just swap the text and call it a day? Yeah, real "designer" move right there. I'm not saying tutorials suck, but you shouldn't rely on them exclusively; you really need to dig into the software itself. It's kind of like if you learned how to drive in a Honda Civic during driver's ed, but then you get behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo and realize you have no idea what you're doing.
Mixing tips? in Software ·
Man... it feels like the people defining the club scene lately are just names like Bob Sinclar and David Morales, while nobody’s even mentioning Mills, Felver, Dundov, Acquaviv, Karotte, Clamaran, Kanzyanin, or Umek. (I might be mixing up some styles here, so whatever).

It honestly seems like they don't have a clue what mixing, remixing, or actual production even means.
So, let me try to break this down a bit:
Mixing: basically playing one track after another and creating those "transitions" without having two heavy basslines clashing at once (you know, avoiding that skipping feeling), making sure the BPM stays consistent (when the beatmatch lights on both players are blinking in sync). That's the gist of it.
Remixing: taking an existing track and tweaking it—speeding it up, slowing it down, adding effects, and stuff like that...
Production: building something from the ground up, like crafting specific samples intended to be mixed into a set. For instance, a DJ producer might have their own collection of samples (maybe three crates of vinyl) that they rely on heavily. They take those samples (or their own remixes, or someone else's finished tracks) and build a set out of them (which is where the mixing part comes back in).
If you want to actually learn, maybe check out some tutorials on YouTube 😁 .

And hey, just go out to the parties 👍

I mean, sure, getting a mentor is probably the absolute best way to go about it, but if there isn't any cash lying around for a mentor, she can definitely teach herself through books. That said, I guess she won't learn nearly as much if she just sits there clicking buttons to see what every little tool does without actually understanding the logic behind them.

Wait, what? What do you mean by "dead mentors"? If she actually wanted a mentor, she wouldn't be hunting for books and tutorials in the first place. And why wouldn't someone learn effectively just by studying the software? I basically taught myself by diving deep into it (started about 4 years ago), putting in maybe 2 to 4 hours every single day when I had the free time 😁 , and honestly, I think I've gotten pretty good at using the tool—whatever I can dream up, I can usually pull off 🙂 .
