Edward Foster42 said:Sure, everyone seems to own one these days—but even so, I’m still not entirely convinced I’d actually pull the trigger on it. 🤷 The issue is that mine isn't some little compact—it's a full DSLR—so it’s not exactly discreet enough to sneak past security. 😁

A DSLR might only get you in through sheer luck—I’ve personally witnessed people being turned away at the entrance more than a few times. A friend of mine from the Upper East Side actually had to head all the way back to his car because of a G 11 restriction.
The logistics in New York City were anything but seamless—we spent our morning wandering aimlessly around the stadium, trekking from the ticket booth on one end to the wristband station on the other. With parking being strictly enforced everywhere, we headed over to Memphis once we finally secured our wristbands. Getting out toward the city was handled well enough, but the trip back 🙂 was a total nightmare—crushing crowds at the bus stops, followed by a long trek from the shopping mall where we’d parked—all in all, I didn't actually make it back to my car until two in the morning, and then there was still the drive home.

We stood outside the stadium waiting to get in (based on our wristband numbers) from 2:00 PM until nearly 5:00 PM. Then came more hours of waiting in the fan pit, only to have people who showed up much later without even wristbands push their way through—luckily, we managed to hold onto our spots near the stage.🙂

At least cold water was available for purchase (though I won't go near the price).

But honestly, none of that matters compared to the incredible experience of the concert itself!!!!

BTW—it’s time to start a new thread—we're getting ready for Vienna.😍
Lisa Sanchez8 said:The site I linked earlier just updated—they're opening the ticket booths at 7:00 AM now. It gives us plenty of time to swap out tickets before the lottery starts, assuming we can't just handle it a few days ahead of time. Apparently, even the organizers realized how many people would be trying to pick up or exchange tickets while also hoping to get in on the lottery drawing. 😁

Much appreciated.

I suspect one could enter the lottery using Oracle tickets—grab a wristband first thing in the morning, then dash over to exchange the ticket at 11 when the box office opens in New York City. It might be worth emailing the organizers to confirm; that's usually the safest bet. info@azalea.it>

I sent an email to Oracle, though they clearly don't work weekends... anyway, my son and his girlfriend will be in New York City two days early and will try to swap the tickets at local outlets. We're coming from San Francisco—planning to hit the stadium by 8 to snag a wristband🙂 ... and hopefully land near the stage. That’s our only shot, since I'm heading to Washington, D.C. with my husband—he isn't exactly built for jumping around a field, so we just bought seats.🙂
Does anyone have the actual details on whether I can swap my Oracle tickets in New York City a few days early? I’d really rather not risk missing out on the fan pit lottery because of some last-minute ticket exchange issue right before the show.

Could you do me a huge favor? When you're checking out online, what do you put down for the name and surname fields? The Federal Reserve card doesn't require one, but I'm totally lost on how to handle the Hypo one.

Hypo issues under a name.

Megan Ward said:Actually, the Federal Reserve one has been available for about ten days now.
As for that Hypo Real Estate prepaid Mastercard, I've heard whispers that it doesn't work for online transactions, though I haven't personally put it to the test—nor have I tried the Federal Reserve Mastercard yet...

That Hypo prepaid card works perfectly fine online—I've used it for everything from shoes to cosmetics, even booking hotels via Booking.com for Reagan, and it worked on PayPal too.
You just need to make sure there's enough cash on it for whatever you're buying.
Hip reduction surgery: Has anyone done it? in Health ·
Amy Rivera66 said:It’s definitely a thing. I first heard about that procedure on a talk show hosted by Sandra on ABC—the topic was aesthetic surgery. Some woman mentioned her husband had gone under the knife to reduce what she called "curvy hips," and that was my first moment of genuine interest. 😁

That reduction of "curvy hips" was actually liposuction—a routine fix for what people commonly call "saddlebags," or those stubborn deposits on the hips.
MRI waiting lists: How to get seen faster? in Health ·
wearymarlin99 said:As I mentioned, I had my MRI done over at the Mayo Clinic. My experience with Nemetov has been limited to orthopedics, but I’ve been quite happy with them. Actually, the Akromion clinic runs an orthopedic outpatient wing inside Nemetov, which is where I went for my consultation. The staff is friendly and the doctor is solid. Of course, all this comes with a price tag.

The connection between "Acromion" and Nemetov is purely spatial—they just happen to share the same building—so the quality of "Acromion" isn't really a reflection of the Mayo Clinic...

I see them quite regularly—Dr. Šparac👍

I'm curious to hear about everyone else's experiences.

👋

Šparac performed my surgery back in Washington, D.C... he’s an exceptional physician—frankly, I was devastated when he moved to San Francisco. I'm even considering driving all the way from D.C. just to handle my annual checkups privately at the CIA.

In any case, my experience has been nothing short of excellent.👍
Yasminelle in Women's Health ·
Morgan Miller7 said:My gynecologist won't prescribe Yasminelle because I'm on Medicare—it’s not covered under our plan. If I head over to Canada to try and get them without a prescription, would they actually sell them to me?

Medicare won't cover it on a standard prescription, but you can always go the private route. My doctor handles it that way—no issues at all.
Yasminelle in Women's Health ·
I recently made a trip to a small town in the US Midwest to restock my supplies... I managed to pick up six boxes using my gynecologist's private prescription for just over $55.

I used a minor crossing and didn't even need a toll pass.👍
Yasminelle in Women's Health ·
I’ve been using them for about a year now—previously I was on Yasmin—and I’m quite satisfied. I usually pick them up when I'm visiting Canada; last time, a box was just under $10. It’s worth the quick trip to a small town in the US Midwest—no tolls required—to grab six boxes at once. You just need a private prescription, which they can print out for you at the pharmacy.

Emily Peterson15 said:well, there is one tiny little issue—I don't have health insurance right now and I have no idea when that might change 😢 since I am an out-of-state student. Is there any way to get "local" medical care? Also, I heard something about a medication called Thyroxine—is that available here? If it is, please give me the exact name so I can go grab it immediately :S though it's strange, because I've never had thyroid issues before

You can't just take medicine based on guesswork—the thyroid isn't something to mess around with—an incorrect dosage could easily cause far more trouble than whatever you're dealing with now😲

Check your thyroid levels... that’s one way hypothyroidism can show up.
Joan Baez in Music ·
Nancy Ward37 said:She was in Boston on March 14, 1993, and then headed to NYC shortly after—somewhere in that window, though I can't pin down the exact date.

Thanks... I was certain it was 1992, but my son is making me reconsider.🤣

Does anyone happen to know the date Joan Baez performed in Washington, D.C. back in the early '90s?
Logest vs. Yasmin: Which one is better? in Women's Health ·
Jamie Barnes60 said:I've read in various newspapers right when they first came out that Yasmin is supposedly the safest choice because it has the lowest hormone levels—that you won't deal with weight gain like you do with other pills and things like that.

Let’s settle this once and for all: Yasmin doesn't actually have the lowest hormone content. It actually has more estrogen than many other tablets; the reason people don't gain weight is due to a specific type of progestin—drospirenone—which helps prevent fluid retention.

The estrogen is more or less the same across most pills—the only real difference is the dosage—so what determines how well you tolerate them is really the type of progestin used. In that regard, Yasmin is a newer, high-quality option.

For those who find the estrogen in Yasmin to be too much—the solution is Yasminelle—it's available in the States and contains about a third less estrogen while maintaining the same amount of drospirenone.
